Claims
- 1. An isolated polynucleotide encoding an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO:2.
- 2. An isolated polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of:a) SEQ ID NO:1; b) SEQ ID NO:1, wherein T can also be U; and c) nucleic acid sequences fully complementary to SEQ ID NO:1.
- 3. An expression vector containing the polynucleotide of claim 1.
- 4. The expression vector of claim 3, wherein the vector is a plasmid.
- 5. The expression vector of claim 3, wherein the vector is a viral vector.
- 6. The polynucleotide of claim 1, wherein the polynucleotide is from Drosophila.
- 7. A host cell transformed with an expression vector of claim 3.
- 8. The host cell of claim 7, wherein the cell is a eukaryotic cell.
- 9. The host cell of claim 7, wherein the cell is a prokaryotic cell.
- 10. A method of producing an MTH polypeptide comprising:a) transforming a host cell with a polynucleotide of claim 1; b) expressing the polynucleotide in the host; and c) recovering the MTH polypeptide.
- 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the host cell is a prokaryotic cell.
- 12. The method of claim 10, wherein the host cell is a eukaryotic cell.
- 13. The method of claim 12, wherein the eukaryotic cell is an insect cell.
- 14. The method of claim 12, wherein the eukaryotic cell is a mammalian cell.
