Claims
- 1. A clear, essentially transparent, non-alcoholic perfuming cosmetic microemulsion containing no saturated hydrocarbon with a number of carbon atoms below 10 or above 20 and bearing a hydroxyl function replacing a hydrogen atom, said microemulsion comprising a mixture of:
- a perfume, on a weight basis of about 5% to 50% of the microemulsion;
- a polyethylene glycol surfactant on a weight basis of about 10% to 50% of the microemulsion;
- a polyglycerol first cosurfactant, on a weight basis of about 1% to 20% of the microemulsion;
- an ether phosphate second cosurfactant, on a weight basis of about 0.5% to 15% of the microemulsion; and
- at least one aqueous compound or water, qs 100.
- 2. The microemulsion set forth in claim 1 wherein said aqueous compound contains, apart from water, a compound selected from the group consisting of preservatives, humectants, antiseptics, and skin active principles.
- 3. The microemulsion set forth in claim 1 wherein said ether phosphate second cosurfactant is an alkyl ether phosphate containing polyethoxylated fatty alcohols.
- 4. The microemulsion set forth in claim 1 wherein said polyethylene glycol surfactant is a polyglycol ester, said polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of between 100 and 1000.
- 5. The microemulsion set forth in claim 1 wherein said polyethylene glycol surfactant is selected from the group consisting of polyglycol ester of C.sub.8 -C.sub.10 glycerides and polyglycol ester of glyceryl stearate.
- 6. The microemulsion set forth in claim 1 wherein said polyglycerol first cosurfactant is a polyglycerol ester of liquid fatty acids, said polyglycerol having an average molecular weight of between 100 and 1000.
- 7. The microemulsion set forth in claim 1 wherein:
- said polyethylene glycol surfactant is selected from the group consisting of polyglycol ester of C.sub.8 -C.sub.10 glycerides and polyglycol ester of glyceryl stearate; and
- said ether phosphate second cosurfactant is selected from the group consisting of DEA polyoxyethylene oleyl ether phosphate and sodium polyoxyethylene oleyl ether phosphate.
- 8. A clear, essentially transparent non-alcoholic perfuming cosmetic microemulsion containing no saturated hydrocarbon with a number of carbon atoms below 10 or above 20 and bearing a hydroxyl function replacing a hydrogen atom, said microemulsion comprising:
- a hydrophilic phase;
- a lipophilic phase; and
- emulsifying agents for forming a water-in-oil microemulsion, and wherein
- the lipophilic phase includes a perfume, on a weight basis of about 8% to 20% of the microemulsion;
- the emulsifying agents have a polyethylene glycol ester, on a weight basis of about 10% to 50% of the microemulsion; a polyglycerol ester, on a weight basis of about 1% to 20% of the microemulsion; an alkyl ether phosphate, on a weight basis of about 0.5% to 15% of the microemulsion;
- the hydrophilic phase consisting essentially of aqueous compounds or water, qs 100.
- 9. A clear, essentially transparent, non-alcoholic perfuming cosmetic microemulsion containing no saturated hydrocarbon with a number of carbon atoms below 10 or above 20 and bearing a hydroxyl function replacing a hydrogen atom, said microemulsion comprising:
- a hydrophilic phase;
- a lipophilic phase; and
- emulsifying agents for forming an oil-in-water microemulsion, and wherein
- the lipophilic phase includes a perfume, on a weight basis of about 8% to 20% of the microemulsion;
- the emulsifying agents have a polyethylene glycol ester, on a weight basis of about 10% to 50% of the microemulsion; a polyglycerol ester, on a weight basis of about 1% to 20% of the microemulsion; an alkyl ether phosphate, on a weight basis of about 0.5% to 15% of the microemulsion;
- the hydrophilic phase consisting essentially of aqueous compounds or water, qs 100.
- 10. A clear, essentially transparent, perfuming cosmetic microemulsion comprising a mixture of:
- a lipophilic phase which is non-alcoholic in that it contains no saturated hydrocarbon with a number of carbon atoms below 10 or above 20 and bearing a hydroxyl function replacing a hydrogen atom, said lipophilic phase consisting essentially of a perfume, on a weight basis of about 5% to 50% of the microemulsion;
- emulsifying agents consisting essentially of a polyethylene glycol ester on a weight basis of about 10% to 50% of the microemulsion; a polyglycerol ester, on a weight basis of about 1% to 20% of the microemulsion; an alkyl ether phosphate, on a weight basis of about 0.5% to 15% of the microemulsion; and
- a hydrophilic phase which is non-alcoholic in that it contains no saturated hydrocarbon with a number of carbon atoms below 10 or above 20 and bearing a hydroxyl function replacing a hydrogen atom, said hydrophilic phase consisting essentially of aqueous compounds or water, qs 100.
