Claims
- 1. A mixture preparation apparatus for mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines having a throttle device and an air intake line, an air flow rate meter and a rotatable vane body in said air intake line, said rotatable vane body provided with a plurality of scoops, said scoops arranged to extend into a contoured section of the intake side of an annular flow channel and spaced therefrom in an axial direction during increased air quantities and means upstream of the vane body for introducing fuel into said air intake line, further wherein said scoops are configured to cooperate with said annular flow channel and means for arbitrarily controlling air-fuel mixture to said annular flow channel and therefrom to said engine.
- 2. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 1, further wherein said air flow rate meter is arranged to control an apportionment valve means for said fuel supply and said fuel is delivered to said inflow side of said flow channel in the region of said rotatable scoop.
- 3. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 1 wherein said throttle device is guided by an actuation rod supported coaxially relative to said air intake line and said vane body is rotatably and slidably supported coaxially relative to said throttle device and a return force on said vane body is generated by pressure fluid.
- 4. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 1, further wherein a return force for said air flow rate meter is generated by pressure fluid.
- 5. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 4, further wherein said air flow rate meter is movable into and out of contact with a safety ring, said safety ring arranged to control a relief aperture to vent engine backfire to atmosphere.
- 6. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 1, further wherein said vane body is rotatably supported with a cover body which projects over said scoop, each said cover body and said vane body slidable in accordance with the induced air quantity, and further that said flow channel is formed in the region of said scoop on one side by said cover body and on the other side by said vane body.
- 7. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 6, further wherein said vane body includes a flow-shaping guide element and a partial flow guidance channel is formed between said vane body and said guide element.
- 8. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 7, further wherein a main flow guidance channel is formed between said air intake line and said guide element.
- 9. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 7, further wherein said partial flow guidance channel is open upstream toward said air intake line and discharges into said inflow side of said flow channel provided in the region of said scoop.
- 10. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 9, further wherein said cover body is arranged to block said main flow guidance channel during idling.
- 11. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 10, further wherein said flow emerging from said flow channel is guided via guide apertures in said cover body into said air intake line.
- 12. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 10, further wherein said pressure difference between said inflow side and the outflow side of said flow channel is determined by the return force which contacts said cover body.
- 13. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 12, further wherein a fuel apportionment valve includes means associated with said cover body for the apportionment of a quantity of fuel corresponding to the induced air quantity and the apportioned fuel is delivered to the partial flow guidance channel.
- 14. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 13, further wherein said means associated with said fuel apportionment valve is embodied as a valve needle which is connected with said cover body by a flexible guide wire.
- 15. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 13, further wherein said means associated with said fuel apportionment valve is variable by means of an element which operates in accordance with temperature.
- 16. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 13, further wherein said cover body functions as an air flow rate meter and said cover body arranged to be slidably supported relative to a safety ring, said safety ring arranged to control a relief aperture to vent engine backfire to atmosphere.
- 17. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 12, further wherein said return force on said cover body is generated by a fluid pressure.
- 18. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 17, further wherein said cover body includes a piston member which projects into a chamber and pressure fluid from a control pressure line passes through a decoupling throttle as it enters said chamber.
- 19. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 18, further wherein said cover body and its piston member are slidably supported relative to an actuation rod which is supported coaxially relative to said air intake line and said piston member includes a portion which defines one side of said pressure chamber while another side of said pressure chamber is defined by means on said actuation rod.
- 20. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 18, further wherein fuel can be injected into said partial flow guidance channel in accordance with operational characteristics of the internal combustion engine by means of an electromagnetically actuatable valve.
- 21. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 18, further wherein fuel pressure in said control pressure line is variable by means of a pressure control valve.
- 22. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 21, further wherein said pressure control valve includes a valve member which communicates with a return flow line in dependence upon the mutual position of said cover body and said throttle device.
- 23. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 22, further wherein said valve member includes a valve needle element which projects into a valving aperture.
- 24. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 23, further wherein said valve needle element is flexibly supported on a guide wire.
- 25. A mixture preparation apparatus in accordance with claim 24, further wherein said guide wire is connected with said cover body of said vane body and said valving aperture is disposed in a valve member connected with said throttle device.
