The present invention relates to a mobile ashtray, principally designed for a motor vehicle.
Many individuals smoke cigarettes although in general the number of cigarette smokers have diminished over recent years. However, some individuals still enjoy smoking cigarettes on a regular basis. Some of the drawbacks to cigarette smoking includes smell, smoke damage and the disposal of ashes and cigarette butts. With respect to ashes and cigarette butts the normal practice is to place the ashes and cigarette butts in an ashtray and dispose of the ashes after a degree of accumulation in the ashtray. This approach can be a difficult task in the modern motor vehicle. Due to diminished cigarette smoking many newer motor vehicles do not have an ashtray within the motor vehicle. As a result, smokers are left to thump ashes out the window or litter by tossing cigarette butts into the roadway. As a result, it would be advantageous to have a portable or mobile ashtray that could be easily placed into a modern motor vehicle for cigarette ash and butt disposal.
The present invention relates to a mobile ashtray that includes: a top receptacle; a base, where the base is filled with a fluid; a connector, where the connector connects the top receptacle to the base. The top receptacle and base are preferably cone shaped. The connector includes female threads to receive male threads provided on the top receptacle and base.
The present invention relates to a mobile ashtray for placement within a motor vehicle. The ashtray according to present invention is adapted for placement into a cupholder that is usually a standard feature in most motor vehicles. The ashtray includes a base which contains fluid to facilitate the extinguishing and disposal of ashes and cigarette, while a top receptacle is attached to this base. The top receptacle, preferably a cup shaped receptacle, feeds into a connector that connects to the top of the base. The base is inverted for connection into a connector. The connector connects the top receptacle to the base and is placed within a cup holder of the motor vehicle.

Another feature of the present invention relates to fluid within the base 12. The fluid provides an extinguishing feature for the placement of cigarette butts. Once any cigarette butts are placed in the top receptacle 10, the cigarette butts fall through an opening into the base 12. The mobile ashtray is shaped for placement into a cup holder of a motor vehicle.
