Claims
- 1. A mobile communication system including a plurality of base stations, comprising:
a first base station accommodating a mobile station through a radio transmission path; a second base station communicative with the mobile station through a radio transmission path; and a judgment unit judging whether to perform hand-off based on a usage of communication resources of said first base station and said second base station.
- 2. The mobile communication system according to claim 1, wherein
said judgment unit judges that the hand-off should not be performed, if level of a radio signal transmitted between said second base station and the mobile station is below a prescribed value.
- 3. The mobile communication system according to claim 1, wherein
said judgment unit judges that the hand-off should not be performed, if the quality of a radio transmission path between said second base station and the mobile station is below a prescribed value.
- 4. A mobile communication system including a plurality of base stations, a base station control device for controlling the plurality of base stations and a mobile station accommodated in an arbitrary base station of the plurality of base stations, wherein
each of the plurality of base stations notifies the mobile station of a usage of communication resources, the mobile station judges whether to request hand-off based on notices from the plurality of base stations, the base station control device requests the plurality of base stations to perform hand-off, if the mobile station judges that hand-off should be performed, and the plurality of base stations perform hand-off based on the request.
- 5. A mobile communication system including a plurality of base stations, a base station control device for controlling the plurality of base stations and a mobile station accommodated in an arbitrary base station of the plurality of base stations, wherein
each of the plurality of base stations notifies the base station control device of a usage of communication resources, the base station control device judges whether to perform hand-off based on notices from the plurality of base stations, and requests the plurality of base stations to perform hand-off if it judges that hand-off should be performed, and the plurality of base stations perform hand-off based on the request.
- 6. A mobile station accommodated in an arbitrary base station of a plurality of base stations through a radio transmission path in a mobile communication system including the plurality of base stations and a base station control device for controlling the plurality of base stations, comprising:
a receiving unit receiving a notice on a usage of communication resources from each of the plurality of base stations; a judgment unit judging whether to request hand-off based on notices from the plurality of base stations; and a request unit making a request for hand-off to the base station control device, if said judgment unit judges that hand-off should be requested.
- 7. A base station control device for controlling a plurality of base stations in a mobile communication system including the plurality of base stations, comprising:
a receiving unit receiving a notice on a usage of communication resources from each of the plurality of base stations; a judgment unit judging whether to request hand-off based on notices from the plurality of base stations; and a request unit making a request for hand-off to the plurality of base stations, if said judgment unit judges that hand-off should be requested.
- 8. A mobile communication system including a base station accommodating a plurality of mobile stations, comprising:
a detection unit detecting a call originated from a mobile station accommodated in the base station; an acquisition unit acquiring communication resources to be allocated to the originated call; and a rate adjustment unit reducing a data rate of another mobile station in communications in the base station, if communication resources to be allocated to the originated call are not secured.
- 9. A mobile communication system including a base station accommodating a plurality of mobile stations, comprising:
a detection unit detecting release of a call from a mobile station accommodated in the base station; and a rate adjustment unit improving a data rate of another mobile station by allocating communication resources which have been allocated to the released call to said another mobile station.
- 10. A mobile communication system including a base station accommodating a mobile station, comprising:
a detection unit detecting delay in communications of a mobile station accommodated in the base station; a judgment unit judging whether there are available communication resources to be further allocated to the mobile station, when said detection unit detects the delay; and a rate adjustment unit improving a data rate of the mobile station, if there are available communication resources to be further allocated to the mobile station.
- 11. The mobile communication system according to claim 10, further comprising
a request unit requesting said detection unit to detect the occurrence/non-occurrence of the delay.
- 12. A mobile communication system in which a mobile station and a base station are connected by a radio transmission path, and the base station and a base station control device are connected by a transmission line, comprising:
a notification unit periodically notifying from the base station to the base station control device of a usage of communication resources of the radio transmission path; a determination unit determining a communications resource of the radio transmission path and a communications resource of the transmission line that should be allocated to the mobile station based on the notice; and an allocation unit allocating communication resources of a radio transmission path and communication resources of a transmission line to the mobile station based on the determination.
- 13. The mobile communication system according to claim 12, wherein
said allocation unit notifies the base station control device of an amount of the available resources, if communication resources of a radio transmission path determined by said determination unit cannot be secured, and said determination unit determines communication resources of a radio transmission path and communication resources of a transmission line that should be allocated to the mobile station based on the notice.
- 14. The mobile communication system according to claim 12, wherein
said notification unit performs the notification in response to a periodical inquiry from the base station control device.
- 15. A mobile communication system in which a mobile station and a base station are connected by a radio transmission path, and the base station and a base station control device are connected by a transmission line, comprising:
a detection unit detecting disconnection of a call of the mobile station; a release unit releasing communication resources of a radio transmission path which have been allocated to the released call in response to the disconnection of the call; and a notification unit notifying from the base station to the base station control device of a usage of communication resources of the radio transmission path after the release.
- 16. The mobile communication system according to claim 15, further comprising
an inquiry unit, provided in the base station control device, inquiring about a usage of communication resources of a radio transmission path to the base station when a disconnection of a call is detected, wherein
said notification unit performs the notification in response to an inquiry from said inquiry unit.
- 17. A mobile communication system in which a mobile station and a base station are connected by a radio transmission path, and the base station and a base station control device are connected by a transmission line, comprising:
a detection unit detecting a call connection request from the mobile station; an acquisition unit acquiring communication resources of a radio transmission path to be allocated to the call in response to the connection request; and a notification unit notifying from the base station to the base station control device of a usage of communication resources of the radio transmission path after the acquisition.
- 18. The mobile communication system according to claim 17, further comprising
an inquiry unit, provided in the base station control device, inquiring about a usage of communication resources of a radio transmission path to the base station when the call connection request is detected, wherein
said notification unit performs the notification in response to an inquiry from said inquiry unit.
