The applicant is aware of the following prior art. U.S. Pat. No. 7,017,376 entitled, “Seamless Torso Controlling Garment With a Control Area and Method of Making Same”, issued to Meckley on Mar. 28, 2006 discloses a circular knit blank for use in the manufacture of undergarments, and the garments so manufactured have a circular knit body, and a reinforcement area or areas. The body has a graded stitch density. The reinforcement area or areas have increased stitch density with resultant shorter stretch and higher modulus formed by shortening the stitch lengths during the knitting process. The garment also has a waist band and leg bands formed using a turned welt. The garment may also have a knitted-in stitch pattern design in the body and reinforcement areas formed using miss positive float combination stitching.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,787,512 entitled, “Maternity Garment, Blanks and Method for Making Same” issued to Knox on Aug. 4, 1998 discloses a garment having integrally knit underabdominal and back support panels. The garment desirably has a rear panel and a front panel which includes a substantially U-shaped support panel which is more resistant to stretch than the portion of the front panel which the substantially U-shaped panel surrounds, i.e. the abdominal section. The garment can be knit from a single or a pair of circularly knit tubular blanks, and preferably is formed so that the support panels are integrally knit with the garment. The abdominal section desirably has additional courses provided therein, in order to form a pouch area for accommodating the expanded abdominal region of a wearer. The garment also desirably includes an integrally knit back support panel which has a greater resistance to stretch than the abdominal section. In this way, when the garment is worn, the weight of the wearer's expanded abdominal region can be supported and distributed over a greater portion of his or her body. The garment can also include leg portions, to form a long-line panty, pantyhose, or the like.
U.S. Pat. No. 9,456,637 entitled, “Maternity Support Garment” issued to Fliegel on Oct. 14, 2016 discloses a maternity support garment for encircling the torso of the wearer, including the belly. The garment includes a seamless non-cylindrical stretchable knit fabric body with a non-uniform circumference, spaced top and bottom bands and a front panel, a rear panel, and side panels extending between the bands. The height of the front panel is larger than the height of the rear panel so as to create a pouch adapted to receive and support the belly of the wearer and to accommodate the belly of the wearer as the size of the belly changes. The front panel includes Jersey stitching. The back panel is formed of micro-ribbed knitted fabric. The side panels are formed of 1×1 mesh stitching. The top and bottom bands are made of 2×1 ribbed fabric including 215 denier elastane (Spandex®).
U.S. Pat. No. 7,305,717 entitled, “Clothing For Autistic Children” issued to Brown on Dec. 11, 2007, discloses a specially designed clothing for autistic children. It may however also be used for children or adults who are physically or mentally infirm and provides a means to secure the clothing and provide a means to shorten the clothing.
U.S. Pat. No. 4,549,315 entitled, “Fireman's Bib Overall”, issued to English on Oct. 29, 1985, discloses a heat-resistant bib overall for use by a fireman that includes a lower trouser portion and an upper bib portion, the lower trouser portion providing right and left outer (side) seams, the bib portion including separate right front and left front and rear bib sections, said bib sections being continuously sewn along their bottom edges to a high waistband formed by a hem along the upper edge of the trouser portion, the rear bib portion extending forwardly to the respective right and left outer (side) seams and the right and left front bib sections extending rearwardly past the respective right and left outer (side) seams, such that the respective front bib sections will overlap the rear bib section along the opposite sides of the bib overall.
U.S. Pat. No. 8,701,213 entitled, “Body-shaping Intimacy Garment” issued to Cronan on Apr. 22, 2014, discloses a body-shaping intimacy garment for a woman that has an upper portion that supports or at least contacts undersides of the breasts while leaving the breasts exposed, a torso portion extending from the upper portion, a lower portion that encircles the waist, buttocks and hips while defining a crotch opening through the garment for access during intimate encounters, and leg portions that extend to below the knee. The torso portion, lower portion and leg portions each include respective portions of inner and outer layers of stretchable fabrics. The inner layer fabric is worn stretched about the torso, waist, buttocks, hips and legs, with tension in shoulder straps maintaining some inner layer stretch along the torso portion while worn. The outer layer fabric has a lesser elasticity than the inner layer fabric, and the two fabric layers are connected at the bust but are otherwise disconnected throughout front and sides of the torso and lower portions, and throughout the leg portions to at least below the knee, such that the outer layer is configured to slide over the inner layer, and to flow over local curvature fluctuations of the inner layer, during movement.
The present invention is modified clothing for avoiding exposure of lower human anatomy. The clothing comprises a lower human anatomy covering. This covering has an elastic waist band. The covering has an additional extending material that has a lower end and an upper end. The lower end is fixedly attached to the elastic waistband of the lower human anatomy covering. The additional extending material has an elastic band fixedly attached to the upper end.
In another embodiment, there is modified clothing wherein, in addition, there is a tightener associated with the upper end elastic band. The modified clothing additional extending material has a length in the range of 3 to 18 inches.
In other embodiments, are the modified clothing wherein the upper elastic band has a width in the range of from 0.5 to 6 inches; the modified clothing wherein the lower elastic band has a width in the range of from 0.25 to 5 inches.
The modified clothing wherein the lower human anatomy covering can be, for example, undershorts, walking shorts, trousers, swimming wear, and the like. Thus, any article of clothing that is intended to cover the lower anatomy of the human body is included within the scope of this invention.
The upper elastic band 14 of the modified clothing 2, has a width in the range of from 0.5 to 6 inches. The lower elastic band 6 has a width in the range of from 0.25 to 5 inches.
It has been discovered that the use of two separate elastic waist bands, elastic waist band 6 and elastic waist band 14 prevents the slippage of the modified clothing 2.
All of the modified clothing articles can have a tightener 16 incorporated therein for extra protection from slippage.
The modified clothing 2 has extending material that has a length in the range of 3 to 18 inches. The modified clothing has the upper elastic band with a width in the range of from 0.5 to 6 inches. The modified clothing has the lower elastic band with a width in the range of from 0.25 to 5 inches.
The modified clothing 2 is designed for any article of clothing that covers the lower human anatomy not limited to those specifically disclosed.
