Claims
- 1. A flexible insert adapted for simple installation within and simple removal from a container of generally rectangular configuration having a generally planar floor wall, a roof wall, a pair of generally planar side walls, a generally planar front end wall and a generally planar closeable rear door wall extending upwardly from said floor wall;
- said container having cargo rings mounted about the periphery of the roof and the floor walls;
- said insert comprising insert portions constructed and arranged to fit within said container and to be unfolded into a floor portion facing said floor wall, a roof portion facing said roof wall, a pair of side wall portions facing said side walls and extending within said side walls, a front end portion facing said front end wall and extending within said front end wall and a rear door portion facing said rear door wall and extending upwardly from said floor portion within said door wall;
- said insert being constructed and arranged to receive means to secure at least one of said insert portions to a facing container wall to prevent relative movement therebetween; and
- insert suspension means comprising suspension means elements carried by said insert and cooperating suspension means elements carried by said container;
- (a) longitudinal reinforcing straps extending along the full length of the lower edges of the insert side walls and extending beyond the front wall of the insert;
- (b) first attachment means at the free edges of said longitudinal reinforcing straps adapted to be secured to the lower front corners of said container;
- (c) obliquely extending side wall reinforcement straps sewn to longitudinal straps substantially at the midpoint of the container;
- (d) free end portions of said oblique side wall reinforcement straps extending forwardly of the insert front wall; and
- (e) second attachment means at the free edges of said oblique reinforcement straps adapted to be secured to said front wall above the connections thereto of said longitudinal straps.
- 2. The insert of claim 1, in which
- (a) rearwardly extending reinforcing straps are sewn to said longitudinal straps at the same point as said side wall reinforcement straps.
- 3. The insert of claim 1, in which
- (a) said longitudinal reinforcing straps are sewn into said insert.
- 4. A flexible cargo liner insert adapted for simple installation within and simple removal from a hollow container body of generally rectangular parallelpiped configuration having a generally planar floor wall, an optional roof wall, a pair of generally planar side walls, a generally planar front end wall and a generally planar closeable rear door wall extending upwardly from said floor wall;
- said container body having cargo ring means mounted about the periphery of the roof and the floor walls;
- said cargo liner insert comprising flexible fabric wall portions constructed and arranged to fit within said container and to be deployed into a floor portion facing and proximate to said floor wall, a roof portion facing and proximate to said roof wall, a pair of side wall portions facing and proximate to said side walls, a front end portion facing and proximate to said front end wall, and a rear door portion facing and proximate to said rear door wall;
- said insert liner including suspension means for cooperating with said cargo ring means to secure at least one of said fabric wall portions to said container body to prevent relative movement therebetween; and
- (a) longitudinal reinforcing straps extending along the length of the lower edges of the insert liner side walls and extending beyond the front wall of the insert liner;
- (b) first attachment means at the free edges of said longitudinal reinforcing straps adapted to be secured to the lower front corners of said container body;
- (c) obliquely extending side wall straps sewn to longitudinal reinforcement straps substantially at the midpoint of the container body;
- (d) free end portions of said oblique side wall reinforcement straps extending forwardly of the insert liner front wall;
- (e) second attachment means at the free edges of said oblique reinforcement straps adapted to be secured to said front wall of said container body above the connections thereto of said longitudinal straps.
- 5. The insert liner of claim 4, in which
- (a) at least one obliquely oriented rear wall reinforcing strap extends between the rear wall of the insert liner and the midpoint of said longitudinal straps.
- 6. The insert of claim 4, in which
- (a) said longitudinal reinforcing straps extend for the full length of the lower edges of the insert side walls.
