Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a hairbrush with a interchangeable bristles, and a soft body. In particular, the bristles of the hairbrush may be removed from the body of the brush. The body of the brush imitates a container of some sort allowing it to hold hair products, such as conditioner, shampoo, oil or water in it. Allowing the product to be distributed between the bristles. The interchangeable heads are used for the different type or hair and hair needs.

Description of the Related Art

The following background information may present examples of specific aspects of the prior art (e.g., without limitation, approaches, facts, or common wisdom) that, while expected to be helpful to further educate the reader as to additional aspects of the prior art, is not to be construed as limiting the present invention, or any embodiments thereof, to anything stated or implied therein or inferred thereupon.

Hairbrushes and other hair care implements having detachable handles are well known. Such products have long been used where it is desirable to have several interchangeable heads with varying properties and purposes. Such products have also been used as an effective and efficient means for inserting rollers or curlers into the hair. When used for this purpose, the handle and roller are attached and the roller is tightly curled into the hair. Once inserted, the handle is removed from the roller, inserted into another roller, and the process is repeated. However, although devices of this type are known, certain deficiencies in the prior art designs exist.

U.S. Pat. No. 3,871,391 to Boudal discloses a hair roller having a central cylindrical support on which are mounted tufts of bristles. The patent envisions a handle which may be removably attached to the roller, but no disclosure is made as to how such attachment can be accomplished.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,603,339 to Brazeal et al. discloses a motorized rotating comb device. The comb includes a polygonal bit which engages a corresponding thuck in the rotating means. A spring-loaded ball detent projects from a side of the polygonal bit and engages a detent recess within the chuck. The patent does not disclose, however, a bristle hairbrush or curler.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,463,390 to Jacobowitz et al. discloses a hairbrush which includes interchangeable recurling implements attached to a handle by a mating male and female thread arrangement. U.S. Pat. No. 5,479,951 to Denebeim discloses a bendable, extendable hairbrush with a removable brush head. The brush head is attached to the handle either by a bayonet connection or by a conical friction connection. A disadvantage of Jacobowitz and of the bayonet connection embodiment of Denebeim is that the handle cannot be easily separated from the brush head. When one is attempting to roll multiple curlers into the hair, quick and easy separation of the handle is desirable. Most desirable is the ability to separate the handle from the brush head with one hand so that another brush head can be held ready in the other hand. This cannot be accomplished with Jacobowitz or with the bayonet connection embodiment of Denebeim. A disadvantage of the conical friction connection embodiment of Denebeim is that the brush head may be rotable and/or become detached from the handle before detachment is desired. To properly act as curlers, the brush heads must be wound tightly into the hair. A conical friction connection may allow for rotation of the roller due to the tangential forces exerted by the hair upon the roller. These same tangential forces may lead to the premature and unintentional separation of the brush head from the handle.

What is needed is a hair brush that solves one or more of the above noted problems with conventional hair brushes. None of the prior art methods have been found to be completely suitable to meet these needs and are cumbersome. The present invention provides such a method and the overall combination of these features is nowhere disclosed in the prior art cited above which appears to be representative of the general art in this area although it is not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of pertinent prior aft patents.

SUMMARY

In light of the disadvantages of the prior art, the following summary is provided to facilitate an understanding of some of the innovative features unique to the present invention and is not intended to be a full description. A full appreciation of the various aspects of the invention can be gained by taking the entire specification, claims, and abstract as a whole.

In order to solve the above problems, the method and system of this invention focuses on a hair bush that comes with inter changeable heads. It also has the ability to apply different products to the hair. The invention helps with detangling. and in application for moisture applications.

Another object is to provide novel interchangeable bristles that have holes in between to allow the product to evenly be disbursed through the head of the brush. The body of the brush holds the product. It is also soft and squeezable so that user can manually dispense the amount of product by pressing.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a hairbrush having the above characteristics and which allows for quick and easy separation of the handle and the brush head.

Briefly, it is a principal object of the invention to provide a kit that may comprise different heads that can be used with a single handle. By interchanging different heads the user can be provided with the functionality of several different brushes without the cost and size of so many brushes.

It is an object of this invention to provide a brush that can hold any type of product which user puts in the brush. Squeeze it to allow the product to come through the bristles to be applied all over the hairs.

This Summary is provided merely for purposes of summarizing some example embodiments, so as to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the subject matter described herein. Accordingly, it will be appreciated that the above-described features are merely examples and should not be construed to narrow the scope or spirit of the subject matter described herein in any way. Other features, aspects, and advantages of the subject matter described herein will become apparent from the following Detailed Description, and Claims.
