Claims
- 1. A rubber member produced by using a molding die assembly comprising an upper die and a lower die having opposed surface portions separated from one another by a spacing, at least one of said upper and lower dies being provided with a cavity in an associated one of said opposed surface portions and corresponding to the shape of a rubber member to be molded and at least one of said upper and lower dies being provided with an annular projection around said cavity and projecting from an associated one of said opposed surface portions, the distance between said upper and lower dies at said annular projection being smaller than the spacing between the opposed surface portions of said upper and lower dies.
- 2. A rubber member according to claim 1, wherein said rubber member is a cylindrical rubber piston, and wherein said cavity in at least one of the upper and lower dies used to produce the rubber member is in the form of a cylinder substantially corresponding to the shape of the rubber piston.
- 3. A rubber member according to claim 1, wherein said rubber member is a cylindrical rubber closure, and wherein said cavity in at least one of the upper and lower dies used to produce the rubber member is in the form of a cylinder substantially corresponding to the shape of the rubber closure.
- 4. A rubber member according to claim 1, wherein:
in the case where the maximum diameter of said cavity is not greater than 10 mm, the closest distance between said upper and lower dies at said annular projections around each said cavity is not greater than 0.5 mm; in the case where the maximum diameter of said cavity is in the range of 10 mm to 20 mm, the closest distance is not greater than 0.8 mm; and in the case where the maximum diameter of said cavity is greater than 20 mm, the closest distance is not greater than 1.0 mm.
- 5. A rubber member which is obtained by cutting said rubber member from a connecting rubber sheet comprising at least one rubber member which is formed on said connecting rubber sheet, wherein each said at least one rubber member comprises an annular recess which is formed around each said at least one rubber member on said connection rubber sheet, and wherein each said at least one rubber member is cut from said connecting rubber sheet at said annular recess to constitute a cut surface of each said at least one rubber member; wherein:
in the case where the maximum diameter of said rubber member is not greater than 10 mm, the thickness of said cut surface is not greater than 0.5 mm; in the case where the maximum diameter is in the range of 10 mm to 20 mm, the thickness of said cut surfaces is not greater than 0.8 mm; and in the case where the maximum diameter is greater than 20 mm, the thickness of the cut surfaces is not greater than 1.0 mm.
- 6. The rubber member according to claim 5, wherein said connecting rubber sheet comprising said at least one rubber member is formed by a compression molding process.
