Claims
- 1. A motor fuel composition comprising:
- (a) a major portion of a hydrocarbon fuel boiling in the range between 90.degree. F. and 370.degree. F.; and
- (b) a minor amount, sufficient to reduce the formation of deposits on intake valves, of an allophonate ester comprising a compound of formula ##STR7## where R is a C.sub.9 -C.sub.25 alkyl group, R.sup.2 is a C.sub.2 to C.sub.4 oxyalkylene group, m is 0 or 1, and n is a number between about 5 and about 30.
- 2. The motor fuel composition of claim 1 where R is a C.sub.9 to C.sub.21 alkyl group and m=1.
- 3. The motor fuel composition of claim 1 where R is a C.sub.12 to C.sub.21 alkyl group and m=0.
- 4. The motor fuel composition of claim 1 where R.sup.2 is an oxypropylene group.
- 5. The motor fuel composition of claim 1 where n is a number between about 9 and about 15.
- 6. The allophonate ester of claim 1 where R is a nonyl group, R.sup.2 is an oxypropylene group, m is 1 and n is about 12.
- 7. The motor fuel composition of claim 1 wherein the allophonate ester is present in an amount of between about 50 and about 125 PTB.
- 8. The motor fuel composition of claim 1 wherein the allophonate ester is present in an amount of between about 80 and 100 PTB.
