Claims
- 1. A kit for screening for a modulator of a motor protein, comprising(a) the motor protein, wherein the motor protein (i) comprises an amino acid sequence having greater than 90% amino acid sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:4 as measured using a sequence comparison algorithm, and (ii) has microtubule stimulated ATPase activity; and (b) instructions for testing for ATPase activity of the motor protein.
- 2. The kit of claim 1, wherein the motor protein has greater than 95% amino acid sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:4 as measured using a sequence comparison algorithm.
- 3. The kit of claim 1, wherein the motor protein has greater than 98% amino acid sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:4 as measured using a sequence comparison algorithm.
- 4. The kit of claim 1, wherein the motor protein comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2.
- 5. The kit of claim 1, wherein the motor protein comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4.
- 6. The kit of claim 1, further comprising reaction tubes.
- 7. The kit of claim 1, further comprising a stationary multiwell plate.
- 8. The kit of claim 7 wherein the stationary multiwell plate is a 384-well microtiter plate.
- 9. The kit of claim 1, further comprising an enzyme system for monitoring ADP or phosphate level.
- 10. The kit of claim 9, wherein the enzyme system comprises pyruvate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase.
- 11. The kit of claim 9, wherein the enzyme system comprises a luciferin-luciferase system.
