Claims
- 1. A motorized joystick, comprising:
- a housing;
- a control handle;
- a support supporting said handle in said housing for universal movement;
- a first motor; and
- a first connector connecting said control handle to said first motor; said first connector connects rotation of said control handle to said first motor; and further comprising a second motor, a second connector connecting said control handle to said second motor, to connect front and back movement of said control handle to said second motor; and a third motor, a third connector connecting said control handle to said third motor to connect right and left movement of said control handle to said third motor, wherein each of said motors is arranged for controlling movement of the control handle and at least one of said motors includes a linear output for driving the control handle.
- 2. The motorized joystick set forth in claim 1 wherein said first connector includes a flexible cable.
- 3. A motorized joystick set forth in claim 1 including manual override means for disabling the motors from controlling the joystick.
- 4. The motorized joystick set forth in claim 1 wherein said first motor is a motorized fader.
- 5. The motorized joystick set forth in claim 1 wherein said support is a three dimensional support supporting said control handle for right and left movement, front and back movement, and rotational movement.
- 6. The motorized joystick set forth in claim 1 wherein each of said first, second and third motors includes a memory allowing each said motor to be preprogrammed.
- 7. A three dimensional motorized joystick for controlling the movement of an animated character; comprising:
- a control handle;
- a universal support;
- said control handle mounted in said universal support for universal three dimensional movement;
- a first motorized fader with memory;
- a first connector connecting movement of said control handle in a first direction to said first motorized fader with memory;
- a second motorized fader with memory;
- a second connector connecting movement of said control handle in a second direction to said second motorized fader with memory; a third motorized fader with memory; and
- a third connector connecting movement of said control handle in a third direction to said third motorized fader with memory, wherein each of said motorized faders is arranged for controlling movement of the control handle.
