The subject matter herein generally relates to a mounting apparatus for mounting a storage device.
Many electronic devices, such as All-In-ONEs, include data storage devices such as hard disk drives (HDDs), floppy disk drives, and compact disc-read only memory (CD-ROM) drives.
Implementations of the present technology will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the attached figures.
It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.
Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.
The term “coupled” is defined as connected, whether directly or indirectly through intervening components, and is not necessarily limited to physical connections. The connection can be such that the objects are permanently connected or releasably connected. The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other feature that the term modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising,” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like.
The present disclosure is described in relation to a mounting apparatus. The mounting apparatus includes a mounting tray, a bracket, and a sliding member received in the bracket. The mounting tray includes a mounting plate. The bracket is secured to the mounting plate and used to secure a storage device. A securing member is located on the storage device, and a clipping member is located on the bracket. The sliding member is received in the bracket and is slidably located between the bracket and the mounting tray. The sliding member is slidable by the storage device relative to the mounting plate to engage the securing member with the clipping member.
The mounting tray 10 can include a mounting plate 11 and a limiting member 13 secured to the mounting plate 11. Two protruding posts 112, two first hooks 114, two first limiting portions 116, and two second limiting portions 117 are located on the mounting plate 11. In at least one embodiment, each of the two first limiting portions 116 and the two second limiting portions 117 are substantially L-shaped.
The bracket 20 can include a main body 21 and a clipping member 24 secured to the main body 21. The main body 21 can include a bottom plate 211, two side plates 213 extending from opposite edges of the bottom plate 211, and a rear plate 215. The bottom plate 211, the two side plates 213, and the rear plate 215 cooperatively define a receiving space 60 configured for receiving the storage device 50. A sliding piece 2131 extends from each side plate 213. A through hole 2151 is defined in the rear plate 215, and an extending plate 216 extends outwardly from the rear plate 215 and is substantially parallel to the bottom plate 211.
The clipping member 24 is secured to the extending plate 216 by means such as screws, jointing, or clips. In at least one embodiment, the clipping member 24 can be integrated with the extending plate 216. The clipping member 24 can include a clipping piece 241 and an operating piece 243 coupled to the clipping piece 241. In at least one embodiment, the clipping piece 243 is substantially perpendicular to the clipping piece 241. Two clipping portions 2411 are located on the clipping piece 241, and a limiting hole 2431 is defined in the operating piece 243 configured for receiving the limiting member 13.
The sliding member 30 can include a base plate 31, two flanges 33, and a coupling plate 35 coupled to each flange 33 and the base plate 31. A guiding way 36 is defined the base plate 31 and in each coupling plate 35. In at least one embodiment, each flange 33 is substantially perpendicular to each coupling plate 35, and each coupling plate 35 is substantially parallel to the base plate 31. A first sliding slot 311 is defined in the base plate 311, and two driving portions 313 are located on an edge of the base plate 31. In at least one embodiment, each driving portion 313 is a piece that is substantially perpendicular to the base plate 31. A second sliding slot 351 is defined in each coupling plate 35, and a second hook 353 is located on each coupling plate 35, configured to secure a second end of the resilient member 40.
A securing member 70 is secured to the storage device 50 by means such as screws, jointing, or clips. In at least one embodiment, the securing member 70 can be integrated with the storage device 50. A securing hole 71 is defined in the securing member 70 and corresponds to the clipping portions 2411. That is, the securing member 70 can extend through the through hole 2151 to engage the clipping portions 2411 in the securing hole 71.
The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Many details are often found in the art such as the other features of an electronic device. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to and including the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.
