Claims
- 1. A toy, comprising:
a body adapted to be grasped by a user to propel the toy along a support surface; a motion detector coupled to said body; said motion detector configured to detect motion of said body relative to the support surface; a visual display configured to selectively produce a visual output, the visual display including
an enclosure mounted on said body; an actuator configured to actuate in response to the motion; and an object in said enclosure configured to be agitated by said actuator; and an audio system configured to selectively produce an audible output associated with said visual output.
- 2. The toy of claim 1, wherein said visual output includes the agitation of said object and said audible output is a spoken pronunciation of the number of times said object has been agitated.
- 3. The toy of claim 1, said audible output being a first audible output, wherein said motion detector is configured to output a first signal associated with a first speed of said body, and a second signal associated with a second speed of said body different from said first speed, the second signal operative to cause said audio system to produce a second audible output.
- 4. The toy of claim 3, wherein said second audible output is a musical composition.
- 5. The toy of claim 1, wherein the object is one object from a plurality of objects.
- 6. A push toy, comprising:
a body; a roller coupled to said body for rotation with respect to said body; a visual display including
an enclosure mounted on said body, an actuator configured to actuate in response to motion of said body, and an object in said enclosure configured to be agitated by said actuator; and an audio generator configured to output a spoken pronunciation of a number of times said object is agitated.
- 7. The push toy of claim 6, wherein said roller includes a first wheel and a second wheel coupled by an axle.
- 8. The push toy of claim 6, wherein said actuator is a spring-loaded actuator configured to cyclically actuate in response to the motion of the roller.
- 9. The push toy of claim 6, wherein the audio generator outputs the spoken pronunciation in response to actuation of a switch.
- 10. The push toy of claim 6, wherein the audio generator outputs the spoken pronunciation in response to actuation of a switch, the switch configured to be contacted by an element disposed on an axle of the roller adjacent to the switch.
- 11. A toy, comprising:
a housing defining a cavity; a roller coupled to said housing and configured to rotate with respect to said housing; an actuator coupled to said housing, said actuator configured to be actuated based on movement of said roller; an object disposed within the cavity, the object configured to be agitated based on movement of the roller; and an audible output generator configured to output a first audible output associated with a first movement of the roller and a second audible output associated with a second movement of the roller, the second audible output being different from the first audible output.
- 12. The toy of claim 11, wherein the first audible output is a spoken pronunciation of a number and the second audible output is a spoken pronunciation of a second number.
- 13. The toy of claim 11, wherein the audible output generator is configured to output a third audible output when a speed of the movement of the roller exceeds a predetermined threshold.
- 14. The toy of claim 11, further comprising a light source coupled to the housing, the light source configured to illuminate based on movement of the roller.
- 15. The toy of claim 11, wherein the object is one object from a plurality of objects.
