Claims
- 1. A process for conversion of a hydrocarbon feedstock, comprising the steps of:
- providing a hydrocarbon feedstock;
- contacting said hydrocarbon feedstock under conversion conditions with a zeolite catalyst having a surface area of greater than or equal to about 300 m.sup.2 /g and an average particle size of less than or equal to about 1 micron so as to provide an end product having increased fractions of olefins and isoparaffins, wherein said zeolite catalyst exhibits an x-ray diffraction pattern as follows:

- wherein W represents a weak relative intensity, M represent a medium relative intensity and VS represents a very strong relative intensity.
- 2. A process according to claim 1, wherein said hydrocarbon feedstock is a naphtha feedstock having a boiling point range of between about 36.7.degree. C. to about 201.7.degree. C.
- 3. A process according to claim 1, wherein said hydrocarbon feedstock comprises n-paraffins having between 2 to 15 carbon atoms.
- 4. A process according to claim 3, wherein said hydrocarbon feedstock further comprises aromatics having between 7 to 10 carbon atoms.
- 5. A process according to claim 1 wherein said hydrocarbon feedstock comprises aromatics having between 7 to 10 carbon atoms.
- 6. A process according to claim 1, wherein said feedstock comprises an LPG having 2 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 7. A process according to claim 1, wherein said zeolite catalyst is a ZSM-12 catalyst.
- 8. A process according to claim 1, wherein said conversion conditions include a temperature of between about 400.degree. C. to about 550.degree. C., and a space velocity of between about 10 to about 250 h.sup.-1.
