Claims
- 1. A food processing apparatus, comprising a housing, a power source in the housing and having an upright rotary output shaft, a bowl removably mounted on said housing and having an open top and a bottom portion with an opening for receiving the output shaft, a rotatable blade assembly mountable on the shaft, wherein the blade assembly includes a main hub having two opposed horizontally cutting blades fixed to the main hub and an upper blade assembly formed with a hollow cylindrical hub having two opposed substantially horizontal cutting blades mounted on the cylindrical hub, wherein the cylindrical hub of upper blade assembly fits on the main hub and is selectively removable from the main hub and the lower of the said two independent blade assemblies is capable of functioning alone as the cutting means.
- 2. The food processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein the main hub includes two opposed substantial horizontal cutting blades spaced about in elevation and the blades on the cylindrical hub are spaced apart in elevation.
- 3. The food processing apparatus of claim 2, wherein each blade in each assembly is spaced apart between about 12 to 30 mm from each other.
- 4. The food processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein the hollow cylindrical hub includes means for securely engaging the main hub.
- 5. The food processing apparatus of claim 4, wherein the means for securely affixing the cylindrical hub to the main hub is at least one projection and a cooperating slot.
- 6. The food processing apparatus of claim 5, wherein the at least one key is located on the interior surface of the cylindrical hub and at least one cooperating slot is located on the main hub.
- 7. The food processing apparatus of claim 6, wherein the at least one slot is inclined towards the rear of the blade cutting surfaces.
- 8. The food processing apparatus of claim 6, wherein the slot on the main hub includes a substantially vertical opening for receiving the projection on the upper blade assembly and a horizontal slot region at the bottom of the vertical opening to prevent the upper assembly from lifting out of the vertical opening.
- 9. The food processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein the cutting blades are curved cutting blades.
- 10. An industrial blade with a multi-point center and multi-wings which can be used with any driven, electric-powered, cutter-parting, stirrer blender, robot and mixer etc. devices either house type or industrial type, positioned at every possible angle with respect to each other and locked to middle axis.
- 11. A blade assembly for a food processing apparatus comprising, a main hub having two opposed horizontally cutting blades fixed to the main hub and an upper blade assembly formed with a hollow cylindrical hub having two opposed substantially horizontal cutting blades mounted thereon, wherein the cylindrical hub of upper blade assembly fits on the main hub and is selectively removable from the main hub and the lower of the said two independent blade assemblies is capable of functioning alone as the cutting means.
- 12. The blade assembly of claim 11, wherein the main hub includes two opposed substantial horizontal cutting blades spaced about in elevation and the blades on the hollow cylindrical hub are spaced apart in elevation.
- 13. The blade assembly of claim 12, wherein each blade in each assembly is spaced apart between about 12 to 30 mm from each other.
- 14. The blade assembly of claim 11, wherein the hollow cylindrical hub includes means for securely engaging the main hub.
- 15. The blade assembly of claim 14, wherein the means for securely affixing the hollow cylindrical hub to the main hub is at least one key projection and one cooperating key slot.
- 16. The blade assembly of claim 15, wherein the at least one projection is located on the interior surface of the hollow cylindrical hub and the at least one cooperating slot is located on the main hub.
- 17. The blade assembly of claim 16, wherein the at least one slot is inclined towards the rear of the blade cutting surfaces.
- 18. The blade assembly of claim 16, wherein the slot on the main hub includes a substantially vertical opening for receiving the projection on the upper blade assembly and a horizontal region towards the rear of the cutting surfaces at the bottom of the vertical opening to prevent the upper assembly from lifting out of the vertical opening.
- 19. The blade assembly of claim 11, wherein the cutting blades are curved cutting blades.
