Claims
- 1. A multi-channel information signal reproducing apparatus for reproducing information signals from a tape-shaped record bearing medium having a plurality of areas which respectively extend longitudinally in parallel with each other, comprising:
- (a) a rotary head for obliquely tracing said tape-shaped record bearing medium;
- (b) designating means for designating one of said plurality of areas;
- (c) reproduced signal processing means for taking only the information signal reproduced from an area designated by said designating means out of the information signals reproduced by said rotary head and processing said information signal; and
- (d) control means for controlling said designating means based on signals reproduced by said rotary head.
- 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein time base compressed audio signals are recorded on said record bearing medium.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said reproduced signal processing means includes means for time base expanding the time base compressed audio signals which have been reproduced by said rotary head from the area designated by said designating means.
- 4. A multi-channel information signal reproducing apparatus for reproducing information signals from a tape-shaped record bearing medium having a plurality of areas which respectively extend longitudinally in parallel with each other, comprising:
- (a) a rotary head for obliquely tracing said tape-shaped record bearing medium;
- (b) designating means for designating one of said plurality of areas;
- (c) gate means which has signals reproduced by said rotary head applied thereto and has its gate timing determined according to the area designated by said designating means;
- (d) reproduced signal processing means for processing said information signals included in signals gated by said gate means; and
- (e) control means for controlling said designating means by using signals gated by said gate means.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 4, wherein said gate means is so arranged that signals reproduced by said rotary head are gated at a timing at which said rotary head is tracing the area designated by said designating means.
- 6. A multi-channel information signal reproducing apparatus for reproducing information signals from a tape-shaped record bearing medium having a plurality of areas which respectively extend longitudinally in parallel with each other, comprising:
- (a) a rotary head obliquely tracing said tape-shaped record bearing medium;
- (b) designating means for designating one of said plurality of areas;
- (c) gate means for gating signals reproduced by said rotary head with a timing at which said rotary head is tracing the area designated by said designating means;
- (d) reproduced signal processing means for processing said information signals included in signals gated by said gate means; and
- (e) moving means for longitudinally moving said record bearing medium; and
- (f) control means for controlling a moving direction of said record bearing medium by said moving means by using signals gated by said gate means.
- 7. An apparatus according to claim 6, further comprising control means for controlling said designating means based on the signals gated by said gate means.
- 8. A multi-channel information signal recording and reproducing apparatus for recording information signals on a tape-shaped record bearing medium having a plurality of areas which respectively extend longitudinally and parallel with each other, and for reproducing said information signals from the recording medium, comprising:
- (a) a rotary head for obliquely tracing said tape-shaped record bearing medium;
- (b) designating means for designating one of said plurality of areas;
- (c) recording signal processing means for supplying record signals to said rotary head while the rotary head is tracing the area designated by said designating means;
- (d) reproduced signal processing means for taking only the information signals reproduced from an area designated by said designating means out of the information signals reproduced by said rotary head and processing said information signals; and
- (e) control means for controlling said designating means based on signals reproduced by said rotary head.
- 9. An apparatus according to claim 8, further comprising manually operable means for producing commands to determine a mode of said apparatus.
- 10. An apparatus according to claim 9, further comprising marking means for generating a mark signal being supplied to said rotary head together with said record signals for a predetermined period, in response to the commands produced by said manually operable means.
- 11. An apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said marking means generates said mark signal for the predetermined period in response to a command produced by said manually operable means to start recording said record signals by said rotary head.
- 12. An apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said marking means generates said mark signal for the predetermined period in response to a command produced by said manually operable means to change the area designated by said designating means.
- 13. An apparatus according to claim 10, further comprising superimposing means for superimposing four different kinds of pilot signals, having frequencies different from each other, over said record signals one after another, in a rotating manner.
- 14. An apparatus according to claim 13, further comprising tracking control means for controlling relative positions of said record bearing medium and said rotary head based on said pilot signals out of the signals reproduced by said rotary head.
- 15. An apparatus according to claim 14, wherein said marking means includes means for superimposing a fifth pilot signal, having a frequency different from any one of said four kinds of pilot signals, over said record signals in response to the commands produced by said manually operable means.
- 16. An apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said control means includes detecting means for detecting said mark signal included in the signals reproduced by said rotary head from the area designated by said designating means, thus controlling said designating means according to the mark signal detected by said detecting means.
- 17. An apparatus according to claim 16, further comprising moving means for longitudinally moving said record bearing medium.
- 18. An apparatus according to claim 17, wherein said control mans controls a moving direction to the record bearing medium by said moving means according to the mark signal directed by said detecting means.
- 19. A multi-channel information signal recording and reproducing apparatus for recording information signals on a tape-shaped record bearing medium having a plurality of areas which respectively extend longitudinally and parallel with each other, and for reproducing said information signals from the recording medium comprising:
- (a) a rotary head for obliquely tracing said tape-shaped record bearing medium;
- (b) designating means for designating one of said plurality of areas;
- (c) gate means which has signals reproduced by said rotary head applied thereto and has its gate timing determined according to the area designated by said designating means;
- (d) record signal processing means for supplying record signals to said rotary head when said rotary head is tracing the area designated by said designating means;
- (e) reproduced signal processing means for processing said information signals included in signals gated by said gate means; and
- (f) control means for controlling said designating means by using signals gated by said gate means.
- 20. An apparatus according to claim 19, further comprising manually operable means for producing commands to determine a mode of said apparatus.
- 21. An apparatus according to claim 20, further comprising marking means for generating a mark signal being supplied to said rotary head together with the record signals for a predetermined period in response to the commands produced by said manually operable means.
- 22. An apparatus according to claim 21, wherein said control means includes detecting means for detecting said mark signal included in the signal gated by said gate means, said control means controlling said designating means according to the mark signal detected by said detecting means.
- 23. A multi-shaped information signal recording and reproducing apparatus for recording information signals in a tape-shaped recording bearing medium having a plurality of areas which respectively extend longitudinally and parallel with each other, and for reproducing said information signals from the recording medium, comprising:
- (a) a rotary head obliquely tracing said tape-shaped record bearing medium;
- (b) designating means for designating one of said plurality of areas;
- (c) gate means for gating signals reproduced by said rotary head with a timing at which said rotary head is tracing the area designated by said designating means;
- (d) record signal processing means for supplying record signals to said rotary head when said rotary head is tracing the area designated by said designating means;
- (e) reproduced signal processing means for processing said information signals including signals gated by said gate means;
- (f) moving means for longitudinally moving said record bearing medium; and
- (g) control means for controlling a moving direction of said record bearing medium by using signals gated by said gate means.
- 24. An apparatus according to claim 23, further comprising manually operable means for producing commands to determine a mode of said apparatus.
- 25. An apparatus according to claim 24, further comprising marking means for generating a mark signal being supplied to said rotary head together with said record signals in response to the commands produced by said manually operable means.
- 26. An apparatus according to claim 25, wherein said control means includes detecting means for detecting said mark signal included in the signal gated by said gate means, said control means controlling a moving direction of said record bearing medium according to the mark signal detected by said detecting means.
