FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to a device that is used to store and organize a plurality of items in a plurality of resealable storage compartments. More specifically, the present invention is a bag that is made up of a plurality of multi-sized resealable compartments that is joined by perforated edges. The present invention allows the user to store items in different compartments which can be separated from nearby compartments and discarded when needed.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Organizing and storing items can many times be a hassle. Issues arise when items are misplaced in different areas of an office or household. While those traditional one compartment resealable bags present one possible solution by storing away certain items, the user needs to use up all stored items inside those bags before discarding it. This simply creates another organizational issue. Furthermore, a user needs to separately buy different sized resealable bags to maximize the storage capacity within and/or to accommodate different sized items. For example, a larger resealable bag is generally utilized to store pizza slices due to the size of the pizza slices. However, when storing a handful of berries, a smaller or medium size resealable bag can be utilized because they takes up less storage space. In the event when a properly sized resealable bag is not available, users tend to use larger resealable bags thus wasting money due to the higher cost of the larger resealable bags and aiding the plastic pollution.
The present invention solves all issues mentioned above by providing a plurality and reduce time spent in organizing those items. A plethora of items of different consistencies, shapes, textures, and sizes can all be assorted and carried in the same bag. With the present invention, the user is able to detach and discard the resealable storage compartments when needed. This helps create space needed for other items and lightens the load of the bag to be carried throughout the day. The present invention is preferably made from a biodegradable plastic to avoid burdening the environment; however, the present invention can also be any other types of durable and flexible material such as plastic.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is a resealable storage bag with multiple compartments with detachable edges constructed with a perforation. The detachable edge connects each of the resealable storage compartments into a single bag unit. Each bag compartment is detachable by tearing at the perforation. The opening of each bag is positioned at the top of each compartment and allows the user to introduce items into the storage compartments. The opening consists of interlocking lips that lie on either side of the storage bag. The storage bags is preferably constructed of a biodegradable material to reduce the environmental burden associated with regular plastics.

DETAIL DESCRIPTIONS OF THE INVENTION
All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
The present invention is a multi-compartment plastic storage bag that has a combination of a plurality of resealable compartments. Each of the plurality of resealable compartments varies in size and provides multiple storage options for a user. Furthermore, each of the plurality of resealable compartments can be separated from each other upon user's preference to maximize the functionality. Each of the plurality of resealable compartments comprises an opening so that a corresponding storage area for each of the plurality of resealable compartments can be easily accessed independently of the other bag compartments. The present invention is made from a food grade and environmentally friendly plastic thus allowing the user to store edible items into the storage compartments without worrying about foreign chemicals leaching into stored food, eating utensils, baby items such as a pacifier, and makeup supplies. However, the preferred material for the present invention is a biodegradable plastic that has a long lifespan and does not disintegrate while it is in use. The present invention comprises a front bag surface 1, a rear bag surface 2, a left outer seal 3, a right outer seal 4, a bottom edge 5, at least one inner seal 6, at least one inner perforated line 9, and a plurality of fastening mechanism 12 as shown in FIG. 1.
In reference to the general configuration of the present invention that is shown in FIG. 1, the front bag surface 1 and the rear bag surface 2 are perimetrically connected to each other by the left outer seal 3, the right outer seal 4, and the bottom edge 5. In order to provide the parametric connection, dimensions of the front bag surface 1 and the rear bag surface 2 are identical to each other. More specifically, the left outer seal 3 and the right outer seal 4 are positioned parallel to each other as the bottom edge 5 is positioned perpendicular to the left outer seal 3 and the right outer seal 4. Furthermore, the left outer seal 3, the right outer seal 4, and the bottom edge 5 delineate the general outline of the present invention while the plurality of resealable compartments is positioned within the general outline. In other words, the plurality of resealable compartments is defined via the at least one inner seal 6 and the at least one inner perforated line 9. More specifically, the front bag surface 1 and the rear bag surface 2 are connected to each other through the at least one inner seal 6 thus delineating the plurality of resealable compartments. The at least one perforated line 9 traverses along the at least one inner seal 6 so that the user can individually separate the plurality of resealable compartments through the at least one perforated line 9. The plurality of fastening mechanism 12 is positioned parallel to the bottom edge 5 and integrated in between the front bag surface 1 and the rear bag surface 2 so that the opening can be opened to access the storage area and/or closed to keep the stored material within the storage area.
In reference to FIG. 1, the plurality of fastening mechanism 12 comprises a front interlocking lip 13 and a rear interlocking lip 14. The front interlocking lip 13 is connected onto the front bag surface 1. The rear interlocking lip 14 is connected onto the rear bag surface 2. The front interlocking lip 13 and the rear interlocking lip 14 are oriented towards each other and are configured to create a leak-proof seal when they are interfaced correctly. The front interlocking lip 13 and the rear interlocking lip 14 are in a closed position when the user properly engages and externally applies pressure to the front bag surface 1 and the rear bag surface 2 by pinching both surfaces together. The user must continuously apply pressure along the entire length of the front interlocking lip 13 and the rear interlocking lip 14 to properly seal the opening. The closed position of the front interlocking lip 13 and the rear interlocking lip 14 prevent evaporation or leaking of any substances stored in each of the plurality of resealable compartments. To introduce additional components into each of the plurality of resealable compartments, the user may pinch and pull the front bag surface 1 and the rear bag surface 2 in opposite directions so that the front interlocking lip 13 and the rear interlocking lip 14 can be in an opened position.
In reference to FIG. 1, the present invention further comprises a tab 16 to ease the separation of the front interlocking lip 13 and the rear interlocking lip 14. More specifically, the tab 16 is integrated onto the front bag surface 1 and adjacently positioned to each of the plurality of fastening mechanism 12.
