Claims
- 1. A catalytic cracking catalyst comprising a physical mixture of separate particles of:
- a) a bulk conversion cracking catalyst containing at least one component with an equivalent pore size of at least about 7 angstroms in a matrix, said bulk conversion cracking catalyst having physical properties which permit use in a fluidized or moving bed catalytic cracking reactor;
- b) a light paraffin upgrading catalyst comprising at least one zeolite having a constraint index of 1-12 and paraffin cracking/isomerization activity; and,
- c) a light paraffin upgrading catalyst comprising at least one zeolite having a constraint index of 1-12 and paraffin aromatization activity; and
- wherein said upgrading catalysts have substantially the same physical properties as the bulk conversion cracking catalyst.
- 2. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the bulk conversion cracking catalyst comprises a large pore zeolite selected from the group of zeolite beta, zeolite L, zeolite Y, Dealuminized Y, Ultrastable Y, and Ultrahydrophobic Y.
- 3. The mixture of claim 2 wherein the large pore molecular sieve is rare earth, Ultrastable Y zeolite.
- 4. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the bulk conversion cracking catalyst comprises a large pore zeolite comprising at least 12 membered rings.
- 5. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the bulk conversion catalyst comprises at least one member of the group of VPI-5, SAPO-37 and pillared clays.
- 6. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the zeolites having a constraint index of about 1-12 are selected from the group of ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-22, ZSM-23, ZSM-35 and ZSM-57.
- 7. The mixture of claim 6 wherein the shape selective zeolite having paraffin cracking/isomerization activity is selected from the group of ZSM-5 and ZSM-11.
- 8. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the zeolite having paraffin cracking/isomerization activity is in the hydrogen form.
- 9. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the paraffin cracking/isomerization zeolite is ZSM-5, and the ZSM-5 contains 0.05 to 1.0 wt % gallium.
- 10. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the paraffin cracking/isomerization zeolite is HZSM-5.
- 11. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the aromatization zeolite is gallium ZSM-5.
- 12. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the light paraffin upgrading component comprises 10-100 wt % shape selective zeolite.
- 13. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the particles are fluidizable particles usable in a fluidized catalytic cracking unit and have average particle diameters within the range of 3-5 mm.
- 14. The mixture of claim 1 wherein the particles are suitable for use in a moving bed cracking unit and have an average particle diameter within the range of 3-5 mm.
