Claims
- 1. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing;
- a playing means provided within said housing, said playing means including a turntable;
- a magazine that is capable of accommodating a plurality of disks in an orderly manner substantially in a direction perpendicular to a disk-contact surface of said turntable;
- a disk pickup and transport means that selects a desired disk from said magazine and transports the same to the play position;
- said magazine including a plurality of trays for carrying the disks on their main surfaces, said trays being projectable/retractable along the respective main surfaces with respect to a body of said magazine;
- said disk pickup and transport means including a tray projecting means for projecting one of said trays, supporting the disk to be played, from said magazine, and a disk moving means for supporting said disk on a first disk surface and for moving said disk substantially in a direction perpendicular to the disk-contact surface;
- said disk moving means including a depressing member contacting said first surface of said disk opposite to said turntable for performing a disk clamping action in cooperation with said turntable, and a depressing member moving mechanism for rotatably supporting said depressing member and separating said depressing member from said turntable; and
- means for maintaining parallelism between said disk and said disk-contact surface of said turntable during the movement of the disk from said tray to said turntable, said parallelism keeping means including a disk holding member contactable with a second surface of the disk opposite to said first surface and facing said disk-contact surface of said turntable, and said parallelism keeping means being subjected to a drive force by said disk pickup and transport means.
- 2. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing;
- a playing means provided within said housing, said playing means including a turntable having a disk-contact surface;
- a magazine having a body and being capable of accommodating a plurality of disks stacked in an orderly manner substantially in a direction perpendicular to said disk-contact surface of said turntable;
- a disk pickup and transport means for selecting a desired disk form said magazine and transporting the same to the play position;
- said disk pickup and transport means including a support member extending in the stack direction of the disks, a first moving member movable in the stack direction within the respect to said support member; a disk projecting member in engagement with one of said disks for projecting the disk from said body of said magazine; a disk projecting member moving means for moving said disk projecting member together with said first moving member to a position where the disk projecting member is engaged with a desired disk; and a disk projecting member driving means for driving said disk projecting member so as to project the disk from the body of said magazine;
- said disk projecting member moving member including at least three cam grooves for engagement with a part of said first moving member, a second moving member provided for movement substantially in a predetermined direction perpendicular to said disk stack direction, and a drive force supply means for imparting a drive force to said second moving member;
- said cam grooves being so formed that when said second moving member is moved, said first moving member is moved, and said cam grooves being formed with a plurality of linear portions extending in the moving direction of said second moving member and slant portions contiguous with the respective linear portions and slanted with respect to said linear portions, to form cam grooves of a stepped shape, said cam grooves allowing for the proper positioning of said disk projecting member relative to said desired disk.
- 3. The player according to claim 2, wherein said first moving member is guided by the engagement of said part of said first moving member with a first guide groove extending in the disk stacking direction in the support member, and wherein said second moving member is mounted on said support member by means providing a movable engagement between a part of said support member and a second guide groove extending in said predetermined direction on one side of said second moving member in the moving direction, at least one of said cam grooves being formed between the other side of said second moving member and said second guide groove, and said at least one cam groove and said first guide groove being in alignment with each other at their ends.
- 4. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing;
- a playing means provided within said housing, said playing means including a turntable having a disk-contact surface;
- a magazine capable of accommodating a plurality of disks in an orderly manner stacked substantially in a direction perpendicular to said disk-contact surface of said turntable;
- a disk pickup and transport means for selecting a desired disk from said magazine and transporting the same to the play position;
- said magazine including a body, a plurality of trays for carrying the disks on their main surfaces and having a rotative end, said trays being rotatable at said rotative ends about an axis extending in a stacked direction of the disks within a body of said magazine and being projectable/retractable along the respective main surfaces with respect to the body of the magazine;
- said disk pickup and transport means including a support member extending in the stacked direction of the respective trays; a tray projecting member for projecting the tray from the body of said magazine in engagement with one of said trays at its rotative end, said tray projecting member being rotatable about the axis extending in the stacked direction; a tray projecting member moving means for moving said tray projecting member to a position where the tray projecting member is engaged with the tray on which the desired disk is carried; and a tray projecting member driving means for driving said tray projecting member so as to project the tray from the body of said magazine; and
- said tray projecting member being guided by the engagement between a part of said tray projecting member and an arcuate guide groove, and the rotative axis of said trays and the rotative axis of said tray projecting member being independent, yet coincident with each other wherein said magazine is detachable from said housing.
- 5. The player according to claim 4 wherein idle spaces are provided above and below said tray projecting member.
- 6. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing;
- a playing means provided within said housing, said playing means including a turntable having a disk-contact surface;
- a magazine having a body and being capable of accommodating a plurality of disks stacked in an orderly manner substantially in a direction perpendicular to the plane disk-contact surface of said turntable;
- a disk pickup and transport means for selecting a desired disk from said magazine and transporting the same to the disk-contact surface;
- said magazine including a plurality of trays for carrying the disks on their main surfaces, said trays being rotatable about an axis extending in a stack direction of the disks within a body of said magazine and being projectable/retractable along the respective main surfaces with respect to the body of the magazine;
- said disk pickup and transport means including a tray projecting member for projecting a tray from the body of said magazine, said tray having a disk desired to be played; and a disk moving means for moving the disk carried on the projected tray, substantially in the direction perpendicular to the disk-contact surface;
- said disk moving means including a support member extending in the stack direction of the respective tray and a moving member movably provided in the stack direction in said support member and provided with a tray guide portion for guiding said tray, said moving member carrying thereon said playing means; and wherein a tray guide member in which tray guide grooves engageable with said respective trays are formed is provided between a tray guide path of the body of the magazine and said tray guide portion.
- 7. The player according to claim 6, wherein a pivot support of said moving member for said support member is disposed in the vicinity of a connecting portion between said tray guide portion and said tray guide grooves.
- 8. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing;
- a playing means provided within said housing, said playing means including a turntable;
- a magazine having a body and being capable of accommodating a plurality of disks stacked in an orderly manner substantially in a direction perpendicular to a disk-contact surface of said turntable, said magazine being detachable from said housing;
- a lock means for locking said magazine at a loaded position relative to said housing; and
- a disk pickup and transport means for selecting a desired disk from said magazine and transporting the same to the disk-contact surface;
- said disks being projectable/retractable along respective main surfaces thereof with respect to the body of the magazine;
- said disk pickup and transport means including a disk projecting member for projecting the disk to be played from the body of said magazine, and a disk moving means for moving the disk, substantially in the direction perpendicular to the disk-contact surface;
- said disk moving means including a depressing member contacting the opposite surface of the disk to the turntable, and cooperating with the turntable to clamp the disk; support means for supporting said depressing member, said support means being movable substantially in a plane perpendicular to the disk-contact surface; a moving member mounted for movement in a predetermined direction and connected to said support means for driving said support means; and a drive force supply means for imparting a drive force to said moving member, wherein the locked condition of said magazine by the lock means is released by the movement of the moving member.
- 9. The multi-disk player according to claim 5, wherein said magazine further includes a plurality of trays for carrying, respectively disks on main surfaces thereof.
- 10. The player according to claim 2, wherein said magazine further comprises a plurality of trays for carrying respectively, disks on main surfaces thereof, and means for supporting said trays within said magazine for projection and retraction along respective main surfaces with respect to said body of said magazine.
- 11. The player according to claim 2, further comprising means for moving said at least three cam grooves in mechanical synchronism.
- 12. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing (2);
- a playing means (23, 24) provided within said housing (2), said playing means including a turntable (23);
- a magazine (5) that is capable of accommodating a plurality of plate-like trays each of which carries a disk on its main surface, said trays being projectable and retractable along the main surface, said magazine being detachably mounted at a predetermined mount portion within said housing (2);
- a disk pickup and transport means (53) that selects a disk carried on a desired one of said trays from said magazine (5) and transports the same to a disk carrying surface of said turntable;
- said disk pickup and transport means including a moving member (18) movable in the stack direction of said plurality of trays; a tray drive means (53) for engaging with said trays one by one, for projecting said trays from said magazine and for receiving said trays in said magazine, said tray drive means being arranged on said moving member (18); a positioning means for positioning said moving member (18) so that said tray drive means (53) confronts one of said trays that carries thereon the disk to be played;
- and a disk transport means (79) for carrying the disk, carried on said one tray projected from said magazine, separating the disk away from the last-mentioned tray and transporting said disk to said turntable (23);
- wherein said playing means (23, 24), said tray drive means (53) and said disk transport means (79) are carried on said moving member (18); said moving member (18) causes said playing means, said tray drive means and said disk transport means to move together in a confronted position with said tray carrying thereon the disk to be played; after the position of said moving member (18) has been determined by said positioning means, the disk on said one tray is transported to said turntable, and the disk is clamped onto said turntable by said disk transport means (79).
- 13. The player according to claim 12, wherein said disk transport means (79) is swingably supported on said moving member.
- 14. The player according to claim 12, wherein each of said trays has an opening (4') at its central portion, and the disk carrying portion of said disk transport means (79) is inserted into said opening to carry and transport the disk to said turntable (23), said opening (4') of said tray having a closed and continuous opening edge.
- 15. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a housing (2);
- a playing means (23, 24) provided within said housing (2), said playing means including a turntable (23) and a pickup;
- a magazine (5) that is capable of accommodating a plurality of plate-like trays each of which carries a disk on its main surface and is projectable and retractable along the main surface, said magazine being detachably mounted at a predetermined mount portion within said housing (2); and
- a disk pickup and transport means (53) that selects a disk carried on a desired one of said trays from said magazine (5) and transports the same to a disk carrying surface of said turntable;
- wherein each disk is mounted on a disk mount portion of each of said trays with its recording surface, to be played back, facing away from the disk mount portion of each of said trays;
- wherein one of said disks carried on one of said trays is transported in a direction perpendicular to the disk surface and is mounted on the turntable such that the surface opposite to the recording of said one disk is directed toward said disk pickup and transport means;
- wherein said one disk placed on the turntable is played by the pickup of said playing means on the disk carrying surface of said turntable.
- 16. The player according to claim 15, wherein said disk pickup and transport means includes a moving member movable in a vertical direction with respect to said plurality of trays; a positioning means for positioning said moving member; and a disk transport means for carrying the disk carried on the tray projected from said magazine, separating the disk away from the last-mentioned tray and transporting said disk to said turntable;
- wherein said playing means and said transport means are carried on said moving member; said moving member causing said playing means and said disk transport means to move together to a confronted position with said tray carrying thereon the disk to be played; after the position of said moving member has been determined by said positioning means, the disk on the tray is transported to said turntable and the disk is clamped onto said turntable by said disk transport means.
- 17. The player according to claim 2, wherein the linear portions have a predetermined length so as to enable the position of said first moving members to be positively determined.
- 18. A multi-disk player comprising:
- a base structure;
- means for issuing a movement command;
- a moving member movable between a first reciprocating position and a second reciprocating position in a predetermined direction with respect to said base structure; and
- a drive force supply means for imparting a drive force to said moving member;
- said multi-disk player further comprising a positioning means, said positioning means including:
- a first sensor for detecting said second reciprocating position of said moving member;
- an address plate having a plurality of slits aligned along the moving direction of said moving member, said slits being formed in said address plate;
- a second sensor provided in correspondence to said slits of said address plate and providing an output signal upon sensing a slit within said address plate movable past said second sensor;
- a counter means for counting direction signals obtained from said second sensor; and
- a control means for detecting a stop position of said moving member in accordance with the counted value of said counter means;
- wherein when said movement command is issued in the case where said second sensor outputs a slit detection signal, the moving member is moved by a distance corresponding to a difference between a present address and a desired address, whereas when the movement command is issued in the case where said second sensor does not output a slit detection signal, the moving member is moved only after the moving member first has been moved in accordance with said detection signal from said first sensor.
- 19. A multi-disk player comprising:
- means for issuing playing commands;
- a magazine that is capable of accommodating a plurality of disks;
- a playing means for playing one of said plurality of disks;
- positioning means for positioning said magazine and said playing means relative to each other; and
- disk moving means for moving said disk between said magazine and said playing means;
- said positioning means comprising a movable member for carrying one of said magazine and said playing means, a drive mechanism for driving said movable member, and a control means for controlling said drive mechanism so as to move said movable member to a predetermined position corresponding to said disk that is designated by said playing commands;
- said control means comprising a present position detecting means for detecting a present position of said movable member, a search operating means for operating said drive mechanism for searching until said present position is identified with said predetermined position, and an initially operating means for operating said drive mechanism for initially positioning said movable member to said predetermined position prior to the search operation of said drive mechanism.
- 20. The multi-disk player according to claim 19, wherein said movable member includes a carrying member that carries one of said magazine and said playing means, and a moving member that is subjected to a drive force by said drive mechanism and that is reciprocatingly movable in a predetermined direction to engage with said carrying member through a cam means.
- 21. The multi-disk player according to claim 20, wherein said present position detecting means includes a sensor for detecting a group of distinction marks, on said movable member a counter means for counting a distinction mark detection signal outputted from said sensor, and another sensor for detecting the condition that said movable member is located at said predetermined position.
- 22. The multi-disk player according to claim 21, wherein said group of distinction marks comprises slits, and said sensors comprise photocouplers.
