The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
The present invention relates generally to the field of exercise devices of existing art and more specifically relates to jogging dumbbells.
Responsible pet owners may carry a plurality of pet supplies wherever they take their pets. These pet supplies will always vary depending on the duration and location of where an owner takes a pet. Commonly traveled with pet supplies include: medications, waste bags, sanitary wipes and food. Regardless of what provisions are required, pet supplies are cumbersome to manage and carry from location to location. Pets require planning and effort to keep comfortable.
A common activity an owner has with a pet is to take the pet on a walk or a jog. Dogs are animals that require frequent walks. An owner is expected to clean up after a pet excretes waste as a commonly understood etiquette. This requires an owner to carry a stash of empty bags on each walk, and carry the full bags to a proper receptacle for disposal. A pet owner may prefer to not be seen carrying a bag of dog excrement. An owner may choose to return home to dispose of the bag of pet waste instead of proceeding to enjoy the outdoors with the pet. A suitable method to discreetly and efficiently carry pet waste and supplies is needed.
U.S. Pat. No. 7,506,615 to Mary M. Sansone relates to an animal waste collection and disposal system. The described animal waste collection and disposal system includes a portable carrying housing with a plurality of separately sealable compartments, an integral ergonomic handle and integral apparatus to mount a leash. The collection and disposal system includes an animal waste collection tongs device having an integral protective shield, and also includes a waste disposal device having a biodegradable bag and a catalyst pouch integral to the bag.

These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and methods of use for the present disclosure, a multi-function hand weight, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present disclosure.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to pet waste container and more particularly to a multi-function hand weight as used to improve the discreet carrying of pet supplies.
Generally, the multi-function hand weight is a multi-function hand weight that allows a user to carry pet supplies such as bags, food and sanitary wipes as well as provide a storage location for pet waste. The multi-function hand weight also serves as adjustable weight jogging dumbbell and lighting system.
The multi-function hand weight includes a handle having a grip axis, a first end and a second end opposite the first end along the grip axis. The handle circumscribes the grip axis for a first maximum radial distance. The handle includes a first handle compartment inside the handle and proximate the first end. The first handle compartment contains a spindle configured to receive and store pet waste bags. A first access panel is configured to provide access to the first handle compartment. The first access panel is pivotably connected to the first handle compartment and pivots between a latched state and an unlatched state, where the latched state creates a fluid-proof seal with the first handle compartment. The handle further includes a second handle compartment inside the handle and proximate the second end. A second access panel is configured to provide access to the second handle compartment. The second access panel is pivotably connected to the second handle compartment and pivots between a latched state and an unlatched state, where the latched state creates a fluid-proof seal with the second handle compartment. A first stowage compartment is located on the first end of the handle. A first weight affixes to the first stowage compartment and creates a seal to close the first stowage compartment. A second weight affixes to the second stowage compartment and creates a seal to close the second stowage compartment. The first stowage compartment, the first weight, the second stowage compartment, and the second weight circumscribe a center axis by a second maximum radial distance. The second maximum radial distance is greater than the first maximum radial distance, giving the device a profile of a dumbbell.
A plurality of weights included in the multi-function hand weight to increase the heaviness at the users' discretion. Additional weights stacked onto the first weight and second weights. The third weight is affixable to the first weight and the fourth weight is affixable to the second weight. A fifth weight is affixable to the third weight, such that the third weight is located between the fifth weight and the handle along the center axis. A sixth weight is affixable to the fourth weight such that the fourth weight is located between the sixth weight and the handle along the center axis. Each of the six weights includes a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) lights distributed about the center axis. LED lights on the weights are powered by a rechargeable energy source and controlled by a user interface that allows a user to toggle the lights on and off as well as control the flashing modes and brightness. The apparatus allows for further functionality through a plurality of clips configured to removably couple other items including carabiners and D-rings to the multi-function hand weight.
