Abstract
The present invention discloses a multi-functional all in one eating utensil, combining a fork, knife and bottle opener into one utensil. In an embodiment of the present invention, the utensil is cutlery device which features sharp ridge, serrated/way tine side edges on exterior surfaces of a first outer tine, a second outer tine, or both the first and second outer tines, allowing users to cut or slice food into smaller portions with the knife like designs embedded onto the outer tines of the fork. This invention is usable with either hand, and benefits those with disabilities. The handle portion executes as bottle opener, wherein a bottle opener slot is cut, embedded, or situated onto the handle of the fork. A handle bottle opener lifts crown caps from bottle mouths constituting as a lever so that the opener of beverage caps can be lifted and removed for user drinking purposes.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to the field of combined cutlery, silverware, utensils, tableware, and pertains particularly to an apparatus and method for eating functionality with regards to a fork.

Description of the Prior Art

In cutlery or kitchenware, a fork is a utensil, usually made of metal, whose long handle terminates in a head that branches into several narrow and often slightly curved tines with which one can spear food either to hold them to cut with a knife or to life them to mouth.

Forks are used for poking, stabbing and cutting soft-ish foods. They are commonly used for eating with as well as for splitting food into smaller pieces. Spoons are predominantly used for scooping, unless the individual is eating pie with one, which is a rare case when he/she might use spoon for cutting the crust. Knives, however, are strictly used for cutting, slicing, and dicing and are frowned upon when used as tools for transporting food from one's plate to one's mouth.

A bottle opener is a device that enables the removal of metal bottle caps from glass bottles. A metal bottle cap is affixed to the rim of the neck of a bottle by being pleated or ruddles around the rim. A bottle opener is a specialized level inserted beneath the pleated metalwork, which uses a point on the bottle cap as a fulcrum on which to pivot.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention discloses a multi-functional all in one eating utensil/silverware is disclosed, combining the fork, knife and bottle opener into one utensil.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the utensil is cutlery device which features a sharp ridge, serrated/way tine side edges on both sides or either left or right side. Dual-sided serrated/wavy edge tine pattern on the exterior side of a standard measurement fork, additionally features include a bottle opener on the handle of the utensil.

In an embodiment of the present invention, the multi-functional cutlery device may be made of all metal, stainless steel, plastic or PLA.

The aforesaid as well as other objects and advantages of the invention will be hereinafter from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings in which:

FIG. 1 is a front view of a multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener according to one or more aspects of an illustrative embodiment of the invention;

FIG. 2 is a front perspective view of a multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener according to an embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of serrated tine edge of multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener according to an embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 4 is perspective view of the multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener according to an embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 5 is a left side view of the multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener according to an embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 6 is a right side view of the multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener according to an embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Additional features and advantages of the invention will be set forth in the description which follows, and in part will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by the practice of the invention. These and other features of the present invention will become more fully apparent from the following description, or may be learned by the practice of the invention as set forth hereinafter.

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIG. 1 to FIG. 6 hereof, an apparatus for multi-functional fork knife utensil with bottle opener embodying the principles and concepts of the present invention is described.

Reference is made now to FIG. 1, illustrating a front view of an_embodiment 100 of the present invention wherein the multi-functional fork comprises of a bottle opener slot 101 at the end of the handle.

Reference is made now to FIG. 2, illustrating an enlarged view of an embodiment 200 of the bottom portion of multi-functional fork wherein the utensil comprises of serrated tine side edges 201 thus making dual-sided serrated edge tine pattern on the exterior sides of the multi-functional fork.

Reference is made now to FIG. 3, illustrating a close-up view of an embodiment 300 of the serrated tine side edge 201 of the multi-functional fork. Serrated edges with their scalloped, toothlike edge, are ideal for cutting through foods with a hard exterior and softer interior, such as a loaf of crusty bread. The teeth of the blade catch and then rip as the serrated edge smoothly slides through the food. It cuts cleanly through the resistant skin and juicy flesh of ripe food without crushing it.

Reference is made now to FIG. 4, illustrating a perspective view of an embodiment 400 of the multi-functional fork comprising of serrated tine side edges 201 and bottle opener 101.

Reference is made now to FIG. 5, illustrating a left side view of an embodiment 500 of the multi-functional fork comprising serrated tine side edge on the left side of the multi-functional fork.

Reference is made now to FIG. 6, illustrating a right side view of an embodiment 600 of the multi-functional fork comprising serrated tine side edge on the right side of the multi-functional fork.

By virtue of implementing the above embodiments, the invention provides a multi-functional utensil that offers multitude of advantages including but not limited to—eating food, splitting food into smaller pieces/portions, and open bottles using the bottle opener embedded into the handle of the fork utensil.

While the exemplary embodiments of the present invention are described and illustrated herein, it will be appreciated that they are merely illustrative. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications in form and detail may be made therein without departing from or offending the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims. Additionally, the invention illustratively disclosed herein suitably may be practiced in the absence of any element which is not specifically disclosed herein.
