BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Traditional utilizations of blankets have involved a large piece of fabric being draped around a person's frame for warmth. While this approach itself is sufficient, it renders an individual's arms useless as the blanket restricts access to them. When someone is enveloped in a blanket, they're unable to use their arms to perform a variety of tasks, such as typing, texting, writing, gaming, using a remote, or any action that requires the use of one or both hands. As more individuals work from home, it is desirable that they can experience the warmth of a traditional blanket while executing the aforementioned tasks with more comfort and ease.
The present invention seeks to create a multifunctional anytimewear product wherein an individual's hands and arms may still be able to execute other tasks. The product may be worn or fashioned in several ways, with the typical usage enabling a wearer's arms and hands to be comfortably positioned without restriction within the interior of the main fabric body for warmth while incorporating a carabiner loop system which enables the user to secure the geometric pouch included to a variety of locations, thus providing the additional wearer functionality beyond the scope of the main multifunctional anytimewear product.
Additionally, these layers are insulated and have a securely stored geometric holder used for a variety of purposes. The user may employ the geometric holder to carry objects and items, insert it within the hood to provide extra padding for the back or side neck roll, and be used as a foot pouch or a decorative pillow when the anytimewear product is stored within. One or more anytimewear products may also be conjoined to create an even larger expanse of fabric by connecting two or more anytimewear products via closures or fasteners located along the length (vertical) edge sides to create a maxi blanket.
The multifunctional product and article may also be used as a wearable wrap, beach or camping changing product, a sleeved product with a cocoon hood covering with attached hand receptacles for warmth, a multifunctional product with sleeves and attached neck support, or used as a whole or half body multi-layer stretch of material for warmth. The user can connect the multifunctional anytimewear product to a secondary unit or more to create a maxi blanket for additional ground coverage while in a reposed position, then be attached and folded into the geometric case for portability.
The geometric case can also be attached via the carabiner mechanism and loop system to the multifunctional anytimewear product as a handwarmer, footwarmer, or even a decorative and functional pillow when the anytimewear product is folded and stored within making the multifunctional anytimewear product a tidy alternative for the consumer to other blankets or wearables on the market.
There are other market alternatives, but they do not prove to be successful in various environmental types or offer secure backing that may be configured accordingly. They also implement one usage; for example, they may function only as a blanket, robe, or jacket instead of a multifunctional anytimewear product. Another example is that one may have sleeves and drapery for warmth, but they do not have vertical fixtures on the open edges for closure, accessibility, or continuity. They may also lack compartments for those trying to limit the number of personal belongings they carry while traveling, as well as utility pockets and pouches, which can be interchanged to carrying locations on the main product as the user dictates. Similarly, they may not even be able to use them as anything other than a source of warmth. Other hooded alternatives are wrapped around the body but must be held closed by pouches within the product's interior. The wearer cannot use their hands without sacrificing warmth. A strong gust of wind will leave the wearer fighting to cocoon themselves. Additional alternatives are limited in size and functionality for a large population segment due to them being enclosed and akin to oversized sweatshirts. In other adaptations, the wearable is useable only as a front body blanket with sleeves and is too long to ambulate safely. In addition, these items do not supply coverage for the wearer's back.
Moreover, the present invention offers a cocoon hood to better assist with neck support. Rolling the cocoon hood creates a comfortable neck roll, perfect for individuals who are traveling. The six primary adaptions of the singular invention allow the product to transition from a decorative pillow, a wearable poncho, a full-body length blanket, a double-ply shoulder wrap blanket, and a double-ply lap blanket to a hooded, sleeved, wearable expanse of fabric to which the user can safely ambulate while having full-body access. This is all executed with space, tact, and multifunctionality at the forefront, ensuring that the product is foldable and compressible to fit within the geometric case and attachable to luggage for ease of movement while traveling. There is minimal clutter as it can be modified to an array of environments, as an anytimewear product, due to its multifaceted and functional nature. The present invention also offers more versatility, such as various fabrics for different conditions, such as a medical environment, usage at the beach, while boating, warming yourself after surfing, keeping warm in a tree stand while hunting, hiking, walking, lounging poolside, as well as camping, all in a single, portable, and configurable design.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a geometric holder that maintains a deployable, multifunctional anytimewear product that a user may configure in accordance with various embodiments. The main body of the deployable multifunctional product has double-layered panels, which consist of back and front members; these panels may be joined to one another or be a continuous panel of fabric that transitions from front to back by way of a fold at the midway point along the width of the panel. These panels consist of two bottoms width edges in opposition, with one at the base of the back panel and another at the front base, which mutually extends right to the left at the end. These panels feature two vertical edges juxtaposed, extending from the front panel to the back panel at the bottom edge. The vertical edges, which extend from the front bottom edge to the back bottom edge, feature tape fasteners that run congruently along both edges with opposed male and female connectors. These connectors may be but are not limited to velcro, snap tape, or other fasteners, which offer quick release and connect features, and interconnectivity abilities with products of the same brand family.
The fasteners and carabiner loop system facilitate with ease the multifunctional anytimewear product's extension capabilities to a maxi blanket, which is two separate units or more connected side by side or foot to foot.
Approximately where the central vertical axis intersects with the central horizontal axis is an opening through which the user may draw their head to access the cocoon hood or don the multifunctional anytimewear product. The neck opening consists of two diagonal seams located on the right and left opposing sides of the neck opening, and each seam extends to its base where the sleeve is inset. These fissures connect to the armhole opening, but we reserve the right to modify the structure to accommodate a variety of openings.
Another element of the product is a configuration with a chest opening, which may provide discreet access for medical professionals to evaluate and treat patients and babies who are nursing. The chest opening may consist of two opposing flanges on the front panel, which overlap and connect via fasteners, such as but not exclusively snap tape or velcro. However, we reserve the right to modify the structure to accommodate a variety of openings.
Moreover, the user can transition the product from a wearable product to a person-sized blanket when laid flat, with the ability to expand upon its functionality through the carabiner mechanism and loop system to a maxi blanket. The carabiner mechanism and loop system provide the flexibility needed for a wearer to configure the product into multiple embodiments.
The loop system helps secure the hand warmer within the multifunctional anytimewear's kangaroo pocket, where it can be stored until it is used for another embodiment. The multifunctional anytimewear product's capabilities enable efforts such as connecting the geometric case to combiner loops via the carabiner mechanism to various locations, which allows for usage for hand and foot warmth, storing the anytimewear product to convert the geometric case into a decorative, yet functional pillow, and facilitating simple connections to handbags, backpacks, or carry-on luggage.
The carabiner mechanism gives the user freedom to create a variety of configurations by joining one or more loops together or utilizing the mechanism independently. Individuals may remove and connect the geometric holder to various localities for hand and foot warmth, store the anytimewear product and convert it into a functional pillow, latch it to luggage, and create wrap multiple wrap configurations by joining two or more loops together.
The front face of the product maintains two sleeves, which are inset at the opening of the armhole by two opposing seams, which are positioned diagonally from the neck to the top of the armhole opening. The sleeves of the present invention are generous in size but may conform to the size of the wearer, who may be of various weights and heights. They may also feature cinching or latching mechanisms at the cuffs. The deployable sleeves allow users to insert their arms and maintain them within the multifunctional, anytimewear product. Furthermore, to the outer right and left of the armholes may be vertical welted pockets with corresponding securing fixtures located on the front chest region. These securing fixtures are used to affix the internal pouch pocket to the exterior of the anytimewear product for two purposes. Firstly, to cover the void armholes when the sleeves are inserted into the body. Second place creating two interior/exterior utility pockets, which the wearer can use while the product is used as a wearable poncho, a full-body length blanket, a double-ply shoulder wrap blanket, and a double-ply lap blanket. When not in use on the exterior, they can be hidden utility pouch pockets on the far right-and-left-hand side of the armholes of the multifunctional anytimewear product.
In additional embodiment, the sleeve openings are loose, but they can have additional cinching or clasping mechanisms that can regulate the sleeve openings and lengths. Moreover, the sleeves may be configured within the multifunctional product in one iteration of its usage as a poncho. Wherein, a user, may place their arms through the distal side openings to utilize their hands and arms without impediment while also easily accessing the hand receptacle on the front of the product for storage or warmth. Also, to the outer right and left of the armholes may be vertical welted pouch pockets. These are hidden utility pouch pockets on the far right-and-left-hand side of the armholes of the multifunctional anytimewear product. When the pouch pockets within the interior of the welts are pulled out from within the product, the user can fasten them to cover the void armholes when the sleeves are inserted into the body.
Located on the opposing ends of the welt pocket openings, at the base of the pouch pocket are exterior pocket entrances which are secured by zipper, velcro, snaps, etc. Thus, creating two additional exterior/interior utility pockets.
The large hand receptacle with openings on opposite vertical sides may be attached to the front panel of the main body in a central location by way of example and not limitation. The large hand receptacle's approximate location is on the horizontal plane under the left armhole underseam and the right armhole underseam. Housed within the large hand receptacle is the geometric-shaped case, which is attached to the body and secured by the carabiner mechanism, carabiner loop [8] on the lower left interior. The carabiner loop [5] on the receiving end is attached to the geometric-shaped case's corner, preferably at the top left corner. The carabiner mechanism, which joins these two independent loops, is composed of two carabiners/clasps on opposing ends connected by an expandable cording, elastic, bungee, etcetera, for example.
The geometric case or pouch is a hand warmer when attached within the hand receptacle. It may also be employed to secure items of value within the hand receptacle, acting as yet another utility pocket for the product. The geometric case has functionality as storage for the multifunctional anytimewear product. When the product is folded within the case, it is camouflaged as an attractive, practical pillow, which can fit within any décor.
The cocoon hood or head covering is typically comprised of double-layered material and generally extends from both sides of the jawline that extends beyond the center front of the product's main body. Furthermore, under the carabiner loop [2] on the center back panel, a large horizontal welted pouch pocket with corresponding securing fixtures, which may be located on front central area of the neckline. When the welt pouch pocket is released and pulled out from within the product's interior. The interior pouch becomes an exterior utility pocket and a secured cover that the wearer can use to conceal the void created when the cocoon hood is tucked within the product. For example, during instances when the wearer chooses to use the product as a full-body length blanket, a double-ply shoulder wrap, or a double-ply lap blanket. Located at the base of the newly exposed pouch pocket is the exterior pocket entrance, which is secured by a zipper, velcro, snaps, etc. Otherwise, it can be a hidden utility pocket on the rear panel of the multifunctional anytimewear product. The securing fixtures that connect the internal pouch pocket to the anytimewear product's exterior expand the utility and aesthetics when using the product, as a full-body length blanket, a double-ply shoulder wrap, etcetera.
The cocoon hood may also feature cinching or clasping mechanisms which the wearer can utilize to adjust or tighten the cocoon hood opening or convert the cocoon hood into a neck gaiter to cover the face and neck during inclement weather.
The geometric case may be attached to the cocoon hood/head covering at the center back neck seam, carabiner loop [2]. Corresponding carabiner loops are located across the entire product, where the user can interchange the carabiner mechanism and loops formations to adjust the functionality of the multifunctional anytimewear. The carabiner loops mentioned in this document do not preclude us from expanding the carabiner loop system to additional unmentioned locations. The user can relocate the carabiner mechanism to many locations on the product. The carabiner mechanism connects all sewn carabiner loops. In the above embodiment, the geometric case may be molded into a neck rest or holder through the hood.
Once rolled, the geometric case or pouch can create additional neck support for the wearer. The geometric case, when attached to the base of the head covering at carabiner loop [2] of the multifunctional, anytimewear product, can be fashioned, and converted into a neck roll. To present this configuration, a wearer must roll the geometric holder upwards into thirds. After it is rolled and lined up to the carabiner system by way of linking carabiner loop [2] to the carabiner mechanism against the nape of the hood. The carabiner mechanism should then be coiled byway of its shock cord, or bungee etcetera, to encompass the rolled case. With one end of the carabiner mechanism dangling from the carabiner loop [2] and the other carabiner end hanging after the shock cord or bungee etcetera, has be coiled around the rolled geometric case, connect the loose carabiner onto the shock cord above the rolled case. This action will secure the geometric case in position, which is suspended by the carabiner mechanism directly below the hood. Then the hood should be turned inside out, flipped towards the rear to be aligned with the suspended geometric case. Then the user tucks the cocoon hood into itself in an upward motion carefully entrapping the suspended geometric holder. Wrapping the rolled geometric holder tightly within the hood until locked in position. Once locked, the rolled case is repeatedly tucked within the hood, and a neck roll has formed.
A side neck roll may also be configured by attaching the carabiner mechanism to carabiner loop [3] or [4] located within the front neckline of the product upon the diagonal seam at its start. The shock cord must be coiled around the rolled case and then locked into position by interlocking one of the carabiners locks into the other, then attaching the loose carabiner to carabiner loop [3] or [4] the user's preference. Once connected to a carabiner loop on either side and wholly tucked into the hood's front inside opening, the side neck roll is ready to be formed. Direct the hood inward tucking under the rolled case, repeatedly tucking, and rolling the hood fully encasing the rolled case and a neck roll has formed.
Allowing the hood to be neatly rolled inward in the direction of the specific area of support desired by the user is optimal for travel, in the instance, a user wants a comfortable neck rest on the right side, left side, or centrally located while simultaneously enjoying the warmth of a blanket.
When the attached cocoon hood and sleeves are inverted towards the underside side of the main body, the product adapts into a whole-body length of material. Additionally, a horizontal welted pocket may be below the center back of the neckline, and when the welted pouch pocket is released and pulled out from within the product's interior, the pouch now becomes an exterior utility pocket which can be used to cover the void created when the cocoon hood is tucked within the product. Located at the base of the newly exposed back pouch pocket is the exterior pocket entrance, which is secured by a zipper, velcro, snaps, etc.
The multifunctional product may also modify the into an expansive stretch of material with complete body coverage. When the multifunctional product is folded at the halfway point along the horizontal axis (width) and then secured along the vertical edges by way of fasteners such as snaps but not excluding velcro, buttons, or other vehicles to secure one flaccid edging to another, the product becomes a double layer lap blanket. In another embodiment of the preferred invention, the product may be utilized as a shoulder wrap, using the method as follows; by tucking the hood and sleeves towards the underside of the anytimewear product. Then the multifunctional product is folded at the central point along the vertical axis (length). Both long vertical edges are secured by way of fasteners such as snaps but not excluding velcro, buttons, or other vehicles to secure one flaccid edging to the other. Once completed, the wearer can toss the double-ply wrap over their shoulders. Securing by connecting the carabiner mechanism to carabiner loop [1] and [2]. Once the anytimewear product is attached, they can wrap any excess wherever they choose. The multifunctional anytimewear product may also be utilized as a changing robe, a poncho, a hospital gown, or utility coat.
To convert the geometric shaped case into a hand warmer, one must lay the case flat, facing front-ward, then, fold the bottom edge in an upward direction ⅔rds towards the flange as shown in Step 1. Then in Step 2, tuck the folded edge upward into overlap flange creating a tube of such. Allowing in Step 3, the wearers hands to slide into the tubular openings, thus creating a handwarmer.
In addition to being utilized as an insert for a neck roll, a hand warmer, and external storage for the multifunctional anytimewear, the geometric holder may be used as a travel foot pouch. In order to configure the geometric case into a foot pouch, a wearer must turn the flange of the geometric case towards the rear of the case, which will become the underside of the footwarmer. Then, attach carabiner loop [1] to carabiner loop [6] via the carabiner loop mechanism. Then while wearing the anytimewear product, the wearer can slide their feet inside the open pouch attached to the bottom center front of the product, for cozy warmth while traveling or simply relaxing at home.
Each carabiner loop is part of a system with at several other locations. Each carabiner loop is situated in the following areas: at the front center hem for loop [1], at the center back at the neck for loop [2], on the right at loop [3] and left [4] inner necklines. Carabiner loops are located on and within the geometric case, such as carabiner loop [5] positioned on the top left corner, carabiner loop [6] which is located inside the case centered on the top seam, and carabiner loop [7] inside the case centered on the bottom seam. Within the kangaroo pocket attached to the main body, carabiner loop [8] is located on the lower left corner, which secures the geometric case to the main body for storage or usage as a handwarmer. To configure the geometric holder into a hand warmer, the pouch must be rolled upwards into thirds and the secure carabiner loop [8] to carabiner loop [5] with the carabiner mechanism within the kangaroo pocket.
The geometric case may be used as a storage vehicle for the multi-functional anytimewear product by using the carabiner mechanism as a means to connect carabiner loop [6] located within the case centered on the top seam at carabiner loop [2] positioned at the center back neckline of the product. Whilst the case and anytimewear product are connected, fold the product horizontally in thirds. The first third fold from right to center, second third fold from left to center. Now the product should be vertically aligned to the opening of the case. Then fold the product into thirds vertically, with the final third being tucked into the geometric case. Once the product is folded into the case the carabiner mechanism can be removed and relocated to another application point. To close the geometric case with the anytimewear product folded within, the flange at the top opening of the case may be flipped from the rear to the front, with the carabiner loop mechanism stored within the case. Finally, the flange is stabilized by the fastenings located on the inner edge of the flange, which corresponds to the mating fasteners on the corresponding lower edge of the case. Once closed the filled geometric pillow becomes a decorative, yet functional pillow that can adorn a bed, sofa, or favorite armchair.
In another embodiment, once the flange is fastened, the carabiner loop mechanism can be relocated to the left top corner of the case at carabiner loop [5]. With the product stored within the case its ready to be attached to the handle or straps of various travel cases, handbags, backpacks, or luggage systems.
In one embodiment, the multifunctional anytimewear product may be used in a medical setting. As the back is accessible, it is optimal to use the product for procedures wherein access to a specific bodily region is a necessity. For example, it may be used for significant medical procedures such as a CAT scan, or checking a person's vitals, as the edges are not enclosed when worn. It may also be used for childbirth delivery, gynecological appointments, surgery, chemotherapy, etcetera. When a patient is in the emergency room being treated or has been admitted to a hospital, the multifunctional anytimewear can be donned for warmth, comfort, and discretion instead of standard medical gowns, which for the most part are, ill-fitting, lacking insulation and modesty. In another embodiment, configuration, and environments, there is accessibility to the chest region, by way of a flange opening, beneficial for, by way of example and not limitation, dialysis treatment, mammograms, chemotherapy chest ports or cardiac related treatments, surgeries, etc. In addition, individuals may also use the chest opening to allow access for breastfeeding.
The material of the multifunctional product may be modified, it may be crafted with, but not limited to a soft, warm, plush textile. Or, two-layers of water-repellant, waterproof, wind proof membrane fabric, such as gortex, or recycled fibers for example and not exclusion. Sandwiched between both layers may be a layer of thermal insulation for loft, insulation and packability, or natural fiber fabrics which are compact, super absorbent, sand resistant, moisture wicking, with exceptional softness. It may also be used with tactile textiles that are robust and fit for various environmental conditions, such as travel by land, air, or sea. The invention may also be converted into a blanket, or an expansive piece of fabric that can be used for utility.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG. 1 is a ¾ left front embodied view of the multifunctional, configurable product 100. The product 100 has two sleeves 106 for the wearer's arms, in the event they would like to wear it in its sleeved configuration as opposed to its poncho configuration. The cocoon hood 104 is upright and intact, and it meets along the wearer's jawline. Below the hood 104 may be, in some embodiments, a vertical opening to allow the wearer to put on the product easily or a panel for chest access 102. Below the chest is a kangaroo pocket 110 which provides warmth for hands, by way of access to a geometric holder, which may be configured into contrivances for the multi-functional configurable product, such as a neckroll, hand warmer, foot warmer, or extra storage. The sides of the product 100 are open 118, but they may be snapped or fastened shut in the event the wearer wants more privacy or coverage. Note that that the measurement may be altered to be suited for the product and its wearer and is subject to alterations and customizations if need be; for example, the closure may also consist of buttons or Velcro. The body of the product 100 consists of two divergent sides which are distal openings and two opposing bottom hems. The sleeves 106 consist of fabric of various sizing, dependent on the wearer. Cinching mechanisms 108 may be featured within the sleeves to adjust the length and sleeve opening to a wearer's preference. The cocoon hood 104 of the product is double ply and is reinforced. The product also features carabiner loop [1] 112, which is a part of the overall carabiner loop system. It is visible at the front and bottom center front hem edge. The hood 104 can also be configured into a back neck roll, and side (left and right) neck roll, whichever placement the user chooses.
The neck opening has a diagonal seam, 114 on the front panel of the main body located on opposing sides. Which creates the armhole openings, to which the opposing sleeves are attached. These diagonal seams remove excess fabric from the chest area creating a smooth line and surface for the chest and armhole openings. In some embodiments the chest panel 102 has a flange opening 116, which may be fastened closed and opened as the user chooses. Note that the fastening vehicle may be snaps, velcro or other implements to connect one independent component to another independent component. When the user modifies the multi-functional anytimewear product into a poncho or multifunctional, configurable product, the left and right vertical edges to create vertical side openings 118 on the right and left. Within the hood along the inside edge, cinching mechanisms 120 may be featured to adjust the cocoon hood opening or convert the neck opening into a neck gaiter for the wearer's preference.
FIG. 2 is an embodied view of the back of the multifunctional, configurable product 200. It is a large expanse of fabric; when the user wears the product as a poncho or multifunctional, configurable product using the sleeves, the left, and right vertical edges fold to create vertical side openings 206 on the right and left. If the hood 204 and sleeves are tucked towards the underside, the multifunctional, configurable product can be utilized as a full-size-length blanket. The hood 204 of the multifunctional anytimewear product is double-ply and reinforced.
