The present invention is generally related to clamp devices, and more particular to a multi-functional clamp device for outdoor activities.
Camping is a popular leisure activity these days, allowing people to get close to nature. However, people may still require the convenience of various devices when engaging in outdoor activities, such as umbrellas or cloth curtains for shading. Taking cloth curtains as an example, they often need to be suspended from high places, and it may be challenging to find suitable hanging spots at the right height in natural environments. Hanging cloth curtains or other items from high places outdoors can be troublesome.
A major objective of the present invention is to provide a multi-functional clamp device having out-stretching hanging rods for hanging items from a high place.
To achieve the objective, the multi-functional clamp device is mounted to a pole and includes a base, a fastening element, and at least one hanging rod. The base has a recess to a side, where the pole is fitted inside the recess. The fastening element is joined to a bottom side of the base and detachably fastened to the pole. The at least one hanging rod has a first end pivotally joined to the base and a second end has a through hole.
The multi-functional clamp device is fixed to the pole at an appropriate height. The hanging rods are turned and oriented away from the pole and their lengths can be adjusted. Item such as a cloth curtain can be hung by the through holes. Each hanging rod is adjustable in length by retracting or extending telescopically.
The hanging rods are radially arranged around the recess, and a hung cloth curtain creates a private space for changing clothes.
In an embodiment, at least a pivotal element is provided on a top side of the base. The first send of a hanging rod is pin-joined to the pivotal element. In an unfolded state of the multi-functional clamp device, the hanging rods are turned away from the pole and the hanging rods rest on the top side of the base. In a collapsed state of the multi-functional clamp device, the hanging rods are oriented towards the pole at a substantially perpendicular angle to the top side of the base.
In an embodiment, the fastening element is configured beneath the recess. The fastening element is a clamp by which the multi-functional clamp device can be conveniently mounted to or dismounted from the pole.
In an embodiment, an auxiliary fastening element can be extended from the bottom side of the base. The auxiliary fastening element is an S-shaped hook hooking onto the pole to further enhance the stability of the multi-functional clamp device's positioning on the pole.
In an embodiment, the multi-functional clamp device includes a base, a fastening element, and at least one hanging rod. The base has a recess to a side and a curved and slant circumferential face, where the pole is fitted inside the recess, the circumferential face gradually increases its radius from top to bottom, at least one hinge element is configured along the circumferential face, the at least one hinge element has two hinge pieces perpendicularly extended from the circumferential face and tilted towards each other, each hinge piece has a front notch along a front edge and a top notch on a top edge of the hinge piece, and the top notches are above the front notches. The fastening element is joined to a bottom side of the base and detachably fastened to the pole. The at least one hanging rod has a pair of pins laterally extended from a first end of the hanging rod and tilted upward and a locking ring pivotally joined to a middle section of the at least one hanging rod, the pins are for embedment in the front notches of a hinge element, a front edge of the locking ring is for embedment in the top notches of a hinge element, the at least one hanging rod is detachably locked to a hinge element through the pins and the locking ring, and a second end of the at least one hanging rod that is away from the base has a through hole.
The foregoing objectives and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.
The following descriptions are exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
As shown in
At least a pivotal element 12 is provided on a top side of the base 1. The first send of a hanging rod 3 is pin-joined to the pivotal element 12. In the present embodiment, there are four hanging rods 3 and, therefore, there are four pivotal elements 12. In the present embodiment, each hanging rod 3 is adjustable in length by retracting or extending telescopically. In a collapsed state of the multi-functional clamp device, the hanging rods 3 are oriented towards the pole A at a substantially perpendicular angle to the top side of the base 1 (as shown in

When not in use, the multi-functional clamp device can be collapsed by turning the hanging rods 3 perpendicular to the top side of the base 1, as shown in

A C-shaped fastening element 2 is joined to a bottom side the base 1 beneath the recess 11. The pole A may be fitted inside the recess 11 of the base 1 and the fastening element 2. At least a hanging rod 3 has a pair of pins 32 laterally extended from a first end of the hanging rod 3 and tilted upward. The pins 32 are for embedment in the front notches 161 of a hinge element 15. A locking ring 33 is pivotally joined to a middle section of each hanging rod 3. A front edge of the locking ring 33 is for embedment in the top notches 162 of a hinge element 15. Each hanging rod 3 is detachably locked to a hinge element 15, as described above, through the pins 32 and the locking ring 33. A second end of each hanging rod 3 that is away from the base 1 has a through hole 31.
In the present embodiment, there are four hanging rods 3 arranged radially around recess 11 as the center. Therefore, there are four hinge elements 15 disposed along the circumferential face 14. In the present embodiment, each hanging rod 3 is adjustable in length by retracting or extending telescopically. To install the hanging rods 3, the pins 32 of each hanging rod 3 are embedded into the front notches 161 of a hinge element 15, and the locking ring 33 of each hanging rod 3 is rotated and embedded into the top notches 162 of the hinge element 15, so that the hanging rods 3 are securely and laterally extended from the base 1 at an appropriate angle.
In the present embodiment, each locking ring 33 is a rectangle-shaped C ring. Each locking ring 33 has the mouth of its C ring pin-joined to a hanging rod 3, and the front edge of the C ring is embedded into the top notches 162 of a hinge element 15. In the present embodiment, as the hinge pieces 16 of each hinge element 15 tilt towards each other, the front notches 161 and the top notches 162 of each hinge element 15 also tilt towards each other. This design facilitates the joining of the hanging rods 3 to the hinge elements 15.
