Claims
- 1. A multi-functional surgical forceps instrument for use in performing endoscopic procedures within an anatomical cavity comprising
- an elongate member having a proximal end coupled with a handle for being disposed externally of the anatomical cavity and a distal end for being disposed within the anatomical cavity and carrying a pair of opposed, relatively movable forceps members,
- said forceps members carrying means operable by manipulation of said handle for clamping tissue and means operable by manipulation of said handle for cutting tissue.
- 2. A multi-functional surgical forceps instrument for use in performing endoscopic procedures within an anatomical cavity as recited in claim 1 wherein said elongate member is tubular.
- 3. A multi-functional surgical forceps instrument for use in performing endoscopic procedures within an anatomical cavity as recited in claim 1 wherein said tissue cutting means includes biopsy means.
- 4. A multi-functional surgical forceps instrument for use in performing endoscopic procedures within an anatomical cavity as recited in claim 1 wherein said tissue cutting means includes knife blades.
- 5. A multi-functional surgical forceps instrument for use in performing endoscopic procedures within an anatomical cavity as recited in claim 1 wherein said tissue cutting means includes scissor blades.
