The present invention relates to a multi-functional window washing and wiping device, and particularly to a window washing device which may achieve the purpose of washing glass windows in buildings without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
Because glass technology is advanced, and because glass has high penetrability, and is sparkling, clean, beautiful and modern, it is well suited for exterior walls or glass shutters in buildings. After long-term exposure to wind and rain, however, glass windows may easily get soiled with grime and water stains, which may affect the outward appearance of buildings as well as city appearance. Therefore, glass windows need regular washing and maintenance. Currently, glass exterior walls or glass windows are manually cleaned in most cases. Personnel access exterior walls of a building by hanging on a platform and wash the walls on the moving platform. This existing method of window washing is highly risky because it is performed in mid-air and the platform is shaky. This is not an easy job for everyone, and therefore there is often a shortage of manpower. It is impossible for inhabitants to clean their own windows, either. In view of the foregoing, after laborious research and experiments, the applicant of the present invention has devised a multi-functional window washing and wiping device which may reduce the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
A primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a multi-functional window washing and wiping device which may achieve the purpose of washing glass windows in buildings without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
The foregoing multi-functional window washing and wiping device comprises a device body and a retractable rod connected to the device body, wherein on the device body are disposed a toothed gear assembly comprising a plurality of toothed gears and a vortex rod for driving the toothed gear assembly, whose two ends are pivotally connected to wheels disposed on two sides of the device body. At least two tube bodies are disposed above the device body. When using the present invention, assemble a cleaning tool such as a brush, a sponge, or a piece of cloth on the toothed gear assembly; input detergent and water via the tube bodies; and hold the retractable rod, place the device body on a glass window, and move the device body along the glass window. The purpose of washing glass windows in buildings is achieved by rolling the cleaning tool by driving the toothed gear assembly via wheels or a motor without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
A foregoing multi-functional window washing and wiping device, wherein the toothed gear assembly comprises at least a transmission gear meshed with the vortex rod, driven gears meshed with the transmission gear, and a driving gear meshed with the driven gear with a cleaning tool such as a brush or a sponge disposed on the driving gear.

The transmission gear 31 of the toothed gear assembly 3 is meshed with a vortex rod 36. Wheels 37 are pivotally connected on two ends of the vortex rod 36 respectively, protruding and exposed on two sides of the device body 1. When moving the device body 1 to rotate the wheels 37, the vortex rod 36 is driven to drive the entire toothed gear assembly 3 so that the cleaning tool 4 disposed on the two rotating discs 33 is rotated. Above the device body 1 is further disposed a motor 38 and a transferring member 381. By the rotating and switching of the transferring member 381, a transmission shaft of the motor 38 is pivotally connected with the transmission gear 31, which is disengaged from the vortex rod 36; or by the rotating and switching of the transferring member 381, the transmission gear 31 is meshed with the vortex rod 36 and the transmission shaft of the motor 38 is disengaged from the transmission gear 31.
A bottom end of the retractable rod 2 is pivotally connected to the protruding ear 11 disposed on the device body 1, so that the retractable rod 2 may swing at elevated and depressed angles. A handle 21 is disposed at a top end of the retractable rod 2. The tube bodies 34 and 35 disposed above the device body 1 are properly fixed to the retractable rod 2 and are pulled out along the retractable rod 2 for connecting to detergent and water.
A multi-functional window washing and wiping device is formed by assembling the foregoing components. When using the device, assemble a cleaning tool 4 such as a brush, a sponge, or a piece of cloth on the toothed gear assembly 3; input detergent and water via the tube bodies 34 and 35 and release the detergent and water through the cleaning tool 4 below the device body 1; and hold the retractable rod 2, place the device body 1 on a glass window, and move the device body 1 along the glass window. The purpose of washing glass windows in buildings is achieved by rolling the cleaning tool 4 by driving the toothed gear assembly 3 via wheels 37 without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air. It will be appreciated that the present invention may also be used for cleaning floor. In a similar manner, various cleaning tools 4 may be disposed below the device body 1 and floor cleaning is performed by a user holding the handle 21.

The foregoing preferred embodiments of the present invention are illustrated of the present invention rather than limiting of the present invention. It is intended to cover various modifications and changes included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims, the scope of which should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar structures.
In view of the foregoing, the present invention relates to a multi-functional window washing and wiping device, comprising a device body provided with a toothed gear assembly and wheels disposed on two sides of the device body. The rotation of the wheels drives the toothed gear assembly, which drives the cleaning tool disposed on the toothed gear assembly to rotate. The purpose of cleaning glass windows in buildings is achieved by easy operation of the present invention without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
