Claims
- 1. A multi-pole composite magnet comprising:
- a first section having a first hub having a first axis about which said first hub is capable of rotating, said first hub having a first plurality of members integrally formed with said first hub and radially extending away from said first axis in a plane perpendicular to said first axis; and
- a second section having a second hub having a second axis about which said second hub is capable of rotating, said second axis coinciding with said first axis, said second hub having a second plurality of members integrally formed with said second hub and radially extending away from said second axis in a plane perpendicular to said second axis, wherein said first and second plurality of members are permanently magnetized in opposite directions parallel to either said first or second axis, wherein said first and second sections are rigidly mated together, and wherein each member of said first plurality of members is located between a pair of members of said second plurality of members and wherein each member of said second plurality of members is located between a pair of members of said first plurality of members.
