Claims
- 1. A multi-purpose hook comprising:
- a first member having a generally flat shape,
- a hook formed integrally with and extending from a first end of said first member, said hook having a half-cylindrical cross-sectional shape, and
- a grip formed integrally with a second end of said first member.
- 2. The multi-purpose hook of claim 1, wherein said first member, said hook and said grip comprise an extrudable material.
- 3. The multi-purpose hook of claim 2, wherein said extrudable material is a plastic.
- 4. The multi-purpose hook of claim 1, wherein said grip has a substantially "C" shape for attaching to an edge of a fixed member to thereby attach said multi-purpose hook to the fixed member.
- 5. The multi-purpose hook of claim 4, wherein said grip is attachable to front and rear channels of a fixed strip extending along the edge of the fixed member.
- 6. The multi-purpose hook of claim 1, wherein said grip comprises a lip and a tip extension for engaging a front channel and a rearwardly extending corner extending along a fixed strip of a fixed member to which the grip is attached.
- 7. The multi-purpose hook of claim 4, further comprising a visual display device resting upon said hook.
- 8. The multi-purpose hook of claim 6, wherein said visual display device comprises a plurality of sheets held together by a binding member.
- 9. The multi-purpose hook of claim 8, wherein at least one of said plurality of sheets comprises a dry erase surface.
- 10. The multi-purpose hook of claim 9, wherein each of said plurality of sheets comprises a calendar.
- 11. The multi-purpose hook of claim 8, wherein said binding member comprises a double spiral binding.
- 12. A visual display comprising:
- at least one attachment mechanism having
- a first member having a generally flat shape, and
- a hook formed integrally with and extending from a first end of said first member, said hook having a half-cylindrical cross-sectional shape,
- a binding member resting upon the hook of said at least one attachment mechanism, and
- at least one sheet attached to and hanging from said binding member attached to the hook of said attachment mechanism.
- 13. The visual display of claim 12 wherein said binding member comprises a spiral binding.
- 14. The visual display of claim 12, further comprising a plurality of sheets attached to and hanging from said binding member.
- 15. The visual display of claim 14, wherein each of said plurality of sheets comprises a dry erase surface.
- 16. The visual display of claim 15, wherein each of said plurality of sheets comprises a calendar.
- 17. The visual display of claim 12, further comprising a retaining grip formed integrally with said at least one attachment mechanism, said retaining grip having a generally "C" shape for attaching to an edge of a fixed member to thereby attach said visual display to the fixed member.
- 18. The visual display of claim 17, wherein said retaining grip is attachable to front and rear channels of a fixed strip extending along the fixed member.
- 19. The visual display of claim 17, wherein said retaining grip comprises a lip and a tip extension for engaging a front channel and a rearwardly extending corner extending along a fixed strip of the fixed member.
- 20. A multi-purpose hook, comprising:
- an extension member having first and second ends,
- a grip extending from said first end of said extension member, said grip including a substantially flat portion extending between front and rear portions of said grip, and
- a curved hook extending from said second end of said extension member, said hook curving in a plane oriented substantially perpendicular with respect to said front portion of said grip.
- 21. The multi-purpose hook of claim 20, wherein said extension member has a generally flat shape extending substantially parallel to said front portion of said grip.
- 22. The multi-purpose hook of claim 21, wherein said hook has a "C" shape.
- 23. The multi-purpose hook of claim 22, wherein said hook has a substantially half-cylindrical cross-sectional shape.
- 24. The multi-purpose hook of claim 20, wherein said grip extends substantially perpendicular from said first end of said extension member.
- 25. The multi-purpose hook of claim 20, wherein said grip is attachable to a fixed member having front and rear channels, and wherein said grip comprises a lip and a tip extension on said front and rear portions for engaging the front and rear channels.
- 26. The multi-purpose hook of claim 25, wherein the fixed member comprises a front surface and an edge with the front and rear channels therein, and wherein said hook is oriented substantially towards the front surface of the fixed member when said lip and said tip extension engage the front and rear channels.
- 27. A multi-purpose hook for a message board having an edge along a front surface thereof, the multi-purpose hook comprising:
- a retaining grip detachably mountable to the edge of the message board, said retaining grip having front and rear portions, and
- an extension member extending from said front portion of said retaining grip, and terminating in a curved hook, the curved hook having a substantially half-cylindrical cross-sectional shape.
- 28. The multi-purpose hook of claim 27, wherein said retaining grip has a substantially "C" shape for detachably engaging the edge of the message board.
- 29. The multi-purpose hook of claim 27 wherein the message board comprises front and rear channels extending along the edge of the message board, and wherein said front and rear portions of said retaining grip detachably engage the front and rear channels.
- 30. The multi-purpose hook of claim 27, wherein said front and rear portions of said retaining grip include a lip and a tip extension for engaging a front channel and a rearwardly extending corner of a frame extending along the edge of the message board.
