The present general inventive concept relates generally to a seasoning shaker, and specifically, to a multi-sectional seasoning shaker.
When cooking a big meal for friends and family, chefs are always keeping in mind the quality of their meal. To slip up and forget either one of the cornerstones of most savory dishes, specifically salt and pepper, can potentially diminish the quality of a meal and make for a disappointing culinary experience. Also, salt and pepper shakers can often be misplaced during cooking.
Furthermore, chefs also tend to use multiple different types of seasonings during cooking, but are required to bring multiple different seasoning shakers to a cooking station.
Therefore, there is a need for a seasoning shaker that allows for multiple different types of seasonings to be included therein.
The present general inventive concept provides a multi-sectional seasoning shaker that allows a user to fill the shaker with different types of seasonings such that the seasoning remain separated.
Additional features and utilities of the present general inventive concept will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the general inventive concept.
The foregoing and/or other features and utilities of the present general inventive concept may be achieved by providing a multi-sectional seasoning shaker, including a body, a lid disposed on a top portion of the body to be rotatable with respect to the body, the lid comprising dispenser holes, and a divider disposed within the body to form a first section to store a first seasoning and a second section to store a second seasoning, such that rotation of the lid allows either the first seasoning or the second seasoning to be dispensed from the dispenser holes when the dispenser holes are disposed over the first section or the second section.
The divider may be removable from the body.
The multi-sectional seasoning shaker may further include another divider to replace the divider when the divider is removed from the body, such that the another divider forms a first section to store a first seasoning, a second section to store a second seasoning, and a third section to store a third seasoning.
The lid may be removable from the body when the lid is first pressed downward and then subsequently rotated in a counter-clockwise direction.
The lid may be rotatable in a clockwise and a counter-clockwise direction with respect to the body without being removed.

The multi-sectional shaker 100, and all components therein, may be made from at least one of glass, plastic, metal, rubber, and ceramic, but is not limited thereto.
The lid 110 may be attachable to a top portion of the body 101, may be rotatable clockwise and counter-clockwise with respect to the body 101, and may provide a water-proof seal when attached to the body 101. Also, the lid 110 may be removable from the body 101. More specifically, the lid 110 may be removed from the body 101 by being pressed down toward the base 140 prior to being turned, similarly to a child-proof medicine container. In other words, to remove the lid 110 from the body 101, a user may push down on the lid, and then turn the lid counter-clockwise until the lid 110 is removed from the body. Otherwise, if the lid 110 is not pushed down, the lid 110 may freely rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise with respect to the body 101.
The lid may include dispenser holes 111 that allow seasoning stored within the multi-sectional seasoning shaker 100 to be poured out.
The first divider 120 may be removably installed within the body 101, and may function to divide a first section 102 from a second section 103, which each may house a different seasoning. As such, when the lid 110 is rotated, the dispenser holes 111 may selectively move to be over either the first section 102 or the second section 103, in order to allow one of the seasonings to be poured out of the dispenser holes 111.
The first divider 120 may be removable from the body 101 so that a user may replace the first divider 120 with a different divider having more sections, such as 3, 4, 5, or 6 sections, but is not limited thereto. Therefore, depending on a type of divider inserted within the body 101, many different types of seasonings may be provided within the body 101 to be separately pourable from the dispenser holes 111.
