MULTI-USE ACCESSORY WITH A HIDDEN DETACHABLE STORAGE POUCH

Abstract

A multi-use accessory that can be worn as a waist pouch, scarf, sarong or other accessory item that contains a removeable pouch on the inside of a non-removeable pouch. The combination of the multi-use accessory and the removable pouch provides an added measure of security for valuable items and as well as providing a wearable decorative accessory.

Description

FIELD

These embodiments relate to a clothing accessory.

More particularly, the present embodiments relate to a multi-use accessory with a hidden detachable pouch, wherein the hidden detachable pouch is totally embedded in the multi-use accessory.

The multi-use accessory can be fitted or used to different parts of a person's body, such as neck, waist, shoulder, or torso or other proper parts.

If the multi-use accessory is fitted to a person's neck, it is a scarf with a hidden pouch. If the multi-use accessory is fitted to a person's waist, it is a sarong with a hidden pouch. It could also be, for example, a waist pouch and tennis ball holder with a hidden pouch. The multi-use accessory can be fitted to various parts of a body and becomes accessories with different functional attributes.

SUMMARY OF THE EMBODIMENTS

One object and advantage of an embodiment is that people could use the multi-use accessory solely without the pouch as a decorative accessory. Moreover, the accessory could be a waist pouch with multi-uses, such as a scarf and sarong. Another object and advantage of the embodiments are that people could use the multi-use accessory with a removable pouch therein allowing the combination of the multi-use accessory and the pouch to function as a wallet for valuable items and as well as a decorative accessory. Moreover, the accessory and/or the pouch can be lined are made with material that block RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Technology), for example, carbon fiber or aluminum to block the electromagnetic signal.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

The multi-use accessory embodiments described herein could be a scarf, neckwear, sarong, or other accessories. The multi-use accessory can be fitted or used to different parts of a person's body, such as neck, waist, shoulder, or torso.

Turning now to the drawings in which like reference characters indicate corresponding elements throughout the several views. Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, which illustrate multi-use accessory as a scarf, generally designated 10. Scarf 10 includes a body 12 having opposing ends 14 and 16. A tie 18 is attached to end 14 and a tie 20 is attached to end 16. Ties 18 and 20 each include a wide end 22 and a narrow end 24 such that a pseudo elliptical form may be configured for each tie.

In a preferred embodiment, ties 18 and 20 are each approximately 20 inches long with wide ends 22 being 2.5 inches wide and narrow end 24 being 1 inch wide. Body 12 is approximately 22 inches wide and 6 inches tall, giving scarf 10 an overall length of 62 inches. It will be understood that these measurements might vary depending on the size of the scarf to be provided. In some applications, the multiuse accessory article may be between 40 to 80 inches in length such that it could be tied around any one of a user's waist, neck, shoulder or torso. Ties 18 and 20 are formed of fabrics typical for use in scarfs and soft enough to wear around the neck or other body parts without discomfort. In certain embodiments, body 12 forms a non-detachable pouch defining an interior volume and having a front side 26 and a back side 28. Thus, the non-detachable pouch formed by body 12 may be designed by fastening two layers at their edges or formed as one piece, in either case including a front layer and a back layer. The interior volume defined by the pouch is accessed by a faster (e.g., zipper) closure 30 attached to front side 26. Body 12 is preferably formed in typical scarf materials or other soft flexible material such as soft leather and the like.

Referring now to FIGS. 3 and 4, a hidden detachable pouch 40 is illustrated. Hidden detachable pouch 40 is preferably formed of soft and supple material such as lambskin leather, which provides flexibility for use in scarf 10 while providing strength to contain items within one or more pockets defined therein. Hidden detachable pouch 40 defines an interior volume and has a front side 42 and a back side 44. Thus, the detachable pouch 40 may be designed by fastening two layers at their edges or formed a one piece with a front layer and a back layer. The interior volume of hidden detachable pouch 40 is accessed by a zipper closure 46 carried by front side 42. Of course, different fasteners to open and close the pouch 40 might be used instead of a zipper.

A fastener element 48 is disposed upon back side 44 and matches a complemental fastener element 50 (shown in FIG. 5) carried within the interior volume of body 12 and attached to back side 28. Hence, a pocket-within-a pocket storage area is created that can provide better security against someone opening the fastener 30 to inspect or empty the non-detachable pouch formed by body 12. In other words, an unauthorized user such as a pick-pocket may miss the contents in detachable pouch 40.

Fastener element 48 and complemental fastener element 50 are preferably hook and loop fasteners, such as a Velcro fastener, in this embodiment, but other types of fasteners can be employed, such as snaps and the like.

Turning now to FIG. 5, hidden detachable pouch 40 is insertable into the interior volume of body 12 through an opened zipper closure 30. Fastener element 48, carried by back side 44 of pouch 40, is engaged to complemental fastener element 50 within the interior volume of the non-detachable pouch of body 12. In this manner a scarf is provided which includes a hidden and detachable or removable pouch 40 that can include lining being a signal blocking material, such as a RFID Faraday material inside the pouch that blocks signals intended to retrieve financial and private information. The fastener element 48 and complemental fastener element 50 could be designed as Velcro, snap or zipper. The material of the zipper could be plastic or metal.

Ties 18 and 20 allow the scarf to be broadly used as a pouch 6 for tennis balls, a sports pouch in general and merges into usages, as an everyday wear for casual attire, as well as an after-five accessory convenience. Usages are determined by the fabric choices used and secretly used to hold and carry small valuables like ID, credit cards, hotel keys, a passport and money, will all be kept closely to the body in a stealth fashion for privacy.

Referring to FIG. 6, the multi-use accessory of present embodiment with a hidden detachable pouch inside can be fitted or used to different parts of a person's body, such as neck, waist, shoulder, torso, or other proper parts if applicable. The multi-use accessory can be used without the inner hidden detachable pouch as a casual attire. The multi-use accessory can be used with the inner hidden detachable pouch so as to hold and carry small and valuables like ID, credit cards, hotel keys, a passport and money, which will all be kept closely to the body in a stealth fashion for privacy.

The inner hidden detachable pouch and outer multi-use accessory could be made by transparent material for ID transparent purpose events. So that the ID could be checked directly without pulling the inner pouch from the multi-use accessory, and then pulling ID out from the inner pouch.

Referring to FIG. 7, the interior of the pouch for an embodiment can be lined in a soft RF ID Faraday material, for example. Such material blocks theft intention signals, intended to retrieve valuable information from credit cards chip insets and other personal identification. Thus, valuables can be kept protected with signal blocking and conveniently kept close to the body in stealth fashion.

Various changes and modifications to the embodiments herein chosen for purposes of illustration will readily occur to those skilled in the art. To the extent that such modifications and variations do not depart from the spirit of the embodiment, they are intended to be included within the scope thereof.

Claims

1. An apparatus for the storage of valuables comprising: a detachable storage pouch comprising: a front pouch layer,a back pouch layer,a first fastener across the front pouch layer, wherein the first fastener is configured to open or close the front pouch layer,a second fastener attached to an exterior surface of the back layer; anda multi-use accessory article comprising: a body, which encloses a space defining a non-detachable pouch within the body,a third fastener attached on an inner surface of the body, wherein the third fastener is configured to be coupled with the second fastener of the back layer, anda fourth fastener disposed upon an exterior surface of the body;wherein the body is coupled to a tie at each end.

2. The apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the tie at each end of the body includes a wide end and a narrow end.

3. The apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the non-detachable pouch is lined or made with material that blocks Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

4. The apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the detachable pouch is lined or made with material that blocks Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

5. The apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein both the non-detachable pouch and the detachable pouch are lined or made with material that blocks Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

6. The apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the second fastener and the third fastener are comprised of a hook and loop fastener.

7. The apparatus as described in claim 6, wherein the first fastener and the fourth fastener are comprised of a zipper fastener.

8. The apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the multiuse accessory article is configured to tie around a user's waist, neck, shoulder or torso by being 40 to 80 inches in length.

An apparatus for the storage of valuables comprising: a detachable storage pouch comprising: a front pouch layer,a back pouch layer,a first fastener across the front pouch layer, wherein the first fastener is configured to open or close the front pouch layer,a second fastener attached to an exterior surface of the back layer; anda multi-use accessory article comprising: a body, which encloses a space defining a non-detachable pouch within the body,a third fastener attached on an inner surface of the body, wherein the third fastener is configured to be coupled with the second fastener of the back layer, anda fourth fastener disposed upon an exterior surface of the body;wherein the body is coupled to a pseudo elliptical shaped tie at each end.

10. The apparatus as described in claim 9, wherein the tie at each end of the body includes a wide end proximal to the body and a narrow end distal to the body.

11. The apparatus as described in claim 9, wherein the non-detachable pouch is lined or made with material that blocks Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

12. The apparatus as described in claim 9, wherein the detachable pouch is lined or made with material that blocks Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

13. The apparatus as described in claim 9, wherein both the non-detachable pouch and the detachable pouch are lined or made with material that blocks Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

14. The apparatus as described in claim 9, wherein the second fastener and the third fastener are comprised of a hook and loop fastener.

15. The apparatus as described in claim 14, wherein the first fastener and the fourth fastener are comprised of a zipper fastener.

16. The apparatus as described in claim 9, wherein the multiuse accessory article is configured to tie around a user's waist, neck, shoulder or torso by being 40 to 80 inches in length.
