Claims
- 1. An allyl carbamate which is a reaction product of(a) an isocyanate selected from the group consisting of hexaniethylene diisocyanate (HDI), HDI biuret, HDI dimer HDI trimer, HDI allophanate, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), IPDI trimer, IPDI allophanate, bis(isocyanatocyclohexyl)methane, and mixtures thereof and (b) an alkoxylated allylic alcohol having the structure of in which R is hydrogen, a C1 to C10 alkyl group, or a C6 to C10 aryl or alkylaryl group, A is a C2-C4 oxyalkylene group, and n, which is the average number of oxyalkylene units, has a value within the range of about 1 to about 5; wherein the allyl carbamate has at least two allyl functional groups per molecule and is a liquid at 25° C.
- 2. The allyl carbamate of claim 1 wherein the oxyalkylene group is selected from oxypropylene, oxyethylene, oxybutylene, and mixtures thereof.
- 3. The allyl carbamate of claim 1 wherein the alkoxylated allylic alcohol is propoxylated allyl alcohol.
