DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To understand the technical solutions provided by the present invention, the present invention will be further described in detail below with reference to some embodiments.

A multifunctional insulated container, comprising a reinforcement assembly 1, a first interlayer 2, a second interlayer 3, a first outer layer 4, and a second outer layer 5.

The reinforcement assembly 1 comprises a container body frame 11 and a cover frame 12, both made of hard material, and also a sealing ring 13; a storage space 111 is formed inside the container body frame 11; a rear side of the cover frame 12 and a rear side of the container body frame 11 are hinged so that an opening of the storage space 111 can be sealed or unsealed by the cover frame 12; a locking mechanism is provided between a front side of the cover frame 122 and a front side of the container body frame 11; the sealing ring 13 is provided at a contact area between the container body frame 11 and the cover frame 12 when the cover frame 12 closes against the container body frame 11.

Both the first interlayer 2 and the first outer layer 4 wrap around an outer side of the container body frame 11, with the first interlayer 2 positioned between the outer side of the container body frame 11 and the first outer layer 4.

The second interlayer 3 is positioned on the cover frame 12 and faces towards the opening of the storage space 111.

The second outer layer 5 is provided on an outer side of the cover frame 12.

FIGS. 1 to 9 illustrate the embodiments of the present invention.

Hinging between the cover frame 12 and the container body frame 11 is achieved by rotational shafts, or by conventional hinges, depending on the actual needs.

An annular flange 112 extends outwardly opposite to the storage space from an upper end of the container body frame 11; a bottom surface of the annular flange 112 is provided with a first annular mounting groove 113; an upper end of the first interlayer 2 is fitted into the first annular mounting groove 113; the first outer layer 4 wraps around an outer side of the first interlayer 2; an upper end of the first outer layer 4 is sealed with the bottom surface of the annular flange 112.

A plurality of position limiting projections 114 are protruded outwardly from a bottom surface of the container body frame 11; the position limiting projections 114 are embedded into the first interlayer 2 so that the first interlayer 2 is fixed in position with respect to the container body frame 11.

A protruded portion 121 removably inserted into the opening of the storage space 111 is provided on the cover frame 12. The protruded portion 121 is provided with a second mounting groove 122; the second interlayer 3 is embedded in the second mounting groove 122 so that the second interlayer 3 is fixed in position in the cover frame 12 to follow the same movement of the cover fame 12 as the cover frame 12 closes or opens with respect to the container body frame 11.

According to an embodiment, a separation layer 6 is disposed on a surface of the second interlayer 3 facing towards the storage space to prevent contamination of the second interlayer 3 by preventing the objects stored in the insulated container from contacting the second interlayer 3 directly.

According to some embodiments, a platform 115 is provided on an upper end surface of the container body frame 111 adjacent to the opening of the storage space 111; a surface of the platform 115 is provided with an annular rim 116 extending towards the protruded portion 121; the sealing ring 13 is disposed on the annular rim 116; when the cover frame 12 closes against the container body frame 11, the protruded portion 121 is in contact with the sealing ring 13 and presses to deform the sealing ring 13 to achieve sealing between the protruded portion 121 and the platform 115, thereby also achieving sealing between the container body frame 11 and the cover frame 12. The sealing ring 13 is fixedly disposed on the annular rim 116 so that when the reinforcing assembly 1 opens or closes, the sealing ring 13 will not be easily loosened. The annular rim 116 abuts against the sealing ring 13 upon closing of the reinforcing assembly so that the sealing ring 13 deforms; due to small contact areas between the annular rim and the sealing ring, the sealing ring 13 can be deformed more sufficiently to achieve better sealing effect.

Further, the sealing ring 13 is adhered to the annular rim 116.

Further, the sealing ring 13 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), thermoplastic rubber (TPR), rubber or silicone.

The first outer layer 4, the second outer layer 5 and the separation layer 6 are all made of cloth; said cloth is made of composite material consisting of a textile material and one of the following: PVC, TPU, (ethylene-vinyl acetate) EVA or polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA); the first layer 2 and the second layer 3 are made of a shaping material which is has an insulation property, such as polyethylene (PE) foam, EVA, TPR, foam material or nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR).

The locking mechanism comprises a buckle 7 provided at the front side of the cover frame 12 and a buckle receiver 117 at the front side of the container body frame 11; when the cover frame 12 closes against the container body frame 11, the buckle 7 buckles to the buckle receiver 117 to achieve buckling connection between the front side of the cover frame 12 and the front side of the container body frame 11. According to an embodiment, the buckle 7 is hinged with the front side of the cover frame 12; an accommodating groove 118 is provided at the front side of the container body frame 11; the buckle receiver 117 is positioned inside the accommodating groove 118; when the cover frame 12 closes against the container body frame 11, the buckle 7 is positioned inside the accommodating groove 118 and flushes with the front side of the cover frame 12 and the front side of the container body frame 11 such that the insulated container has a flat and smooth front surface.

Said hard material is a plastic material which can be injection molded.

According to the above given technical solutions, the cover frame 12 and the container body frame 11 both made of hard material are provided as an internal framing structure of the insulated container to provide sufficient mechanical strength for the insulated container so that the insulated container can bear heavier weights. The overall structure of the insulated container is stable and will not deform even if some heavy objects are placed on top of the insulated container. Accordingly, the present invention on one hand serves the purpose of insulation, and on the other hand can be used as a chair or a platform on which objects can be placed. The insulated container of the present invention can be carried during outdoor activities to provide convenience for users by achieving multi-purposes.

The embodiments described above and the accompanying drawings are not intended to limit the form and shape of the present invention. Any adaptive changes or modifications by a person skilled in the art should fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
