Abstract
A multiple function LED night light with air-freshener consist of (a) LED display unit with light-medium properties to allow the LED(s) located on LED input-ends to make majority of LED light beams travel within the said LED display and the brightness be seen from viewer from LCD display all surface. The LED display unit has preferable configuration and thickness and well assembly with said night light assembly to make the good value appearance. Incorporate with housing means to form a slot, space, room to allow the air-freshener, LED display, sealed-unit and all related electric components including heat element or fan device are dispose within the said night light housing to make said night light with air-freshener and LED display with optional added more functions on the current invention's night light.
Description
BACKGROUND

The US prior arts including U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,714,725, 6,810,204, 6,853,801, 6,871,794, 6,895,177, 6,897,381, 6,901,215, 6,902,817, D 518,883, D520,30 not are same as current invention's features.


The S. C. Johnson's US prior art U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,849,606, D433,521, 6,478,330 disclosure the incandescent light means with air fresher refill glad.


The General electric US prior art U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,302,559, D468,033 disclosure the Electro-luminescent night light with air-fresher refill piece.


The Dial corporation US prior art U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,832,794, 6,839,506, 6,885,811, 6,920,282, 6,957,012, 7,002,114 did not indicated the details of how to apply LED light means for the receptacle device.


The intermatic US prior art U.S. Pat. No. 6,854,208 disclosure the different technical for the vapor type of air fresher with lamp.


All these prior arts lack of to teach how to make light-medium to make the bright spot LED light source to surface light for area illumination. Also, do not disclosure any special treatment how to make the light-medium with low cost and less labor intensity. It also do not disclosure the simple and value appearance for illuminated front LED display as light-medium with simple install into the space between the space of front and back base. It also lack of teach the sealed-unit to meet the strict safety standard so rest of night light material can use very cheap material even a paper. It also lack of teach to apply the air-freshener unit from side or from top to install into the said slot. Especially do not teach to apply the sand-blaster or rough process light-medium with milky/frosted front sheet will get the best light photometric effects.

FIG. 5: Disclosure the major housing assembly for FIG. 1, the LED display case are insert into the slot between the base front and back. The front LED display case are assembly with back case by conventional available assembly means preferable by screw or snap tighten means.



FIG. 6: Disclosure the light-medium and its input-ends construction. The indicia, design, art work, characters, logo, marking can be 3 dimensional for more eye-catching effects and value. The plurality of LED input-ends have groove to allow the LED(s) to fit within but it not need to be a opening to make light beams to leakage to outside. It also has other concern to make the front viewing area without any holes to spoil the whole value of front viewing areas.



FIG. 7: Disclosure the details assembly for the sealed-unit into base and how the upper LED display case fit into the slot between the front and back base. Also disclosure a lot of different shape of the LED display case with proper bottom to fit into the said slot between the front and back base with proper plurality of LED input-ends.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

From FIG. 1 disclosure a multiple functions LED night light (00) with air fresher including the air-fresher (10) are insert into the slot (11) which form by the LED display case (17) and back case (16). The LED display (17) with its desired shape, configuration, thickness (T), opening (15a), window (15b), cut-out (15c) curvature (hereof as close U curvature), designs to offer the illumination on LED display surface (17) and fit into the space between the front (19) and back (18) base. From FIG. 5, The LED display (5a) has all the light-medium properties and the said light-medium (5a) has at least one of LED(s) input-ends (5f) (5e) (5N) to install the LED(s) on location and make the light beam travel within the said light-medium to make the light-medium's (5a) all surface with very even brightness to be seen by viewer.


From FIG. 3, At least one of the LED(s) (3g) (3g′) (3g″) to install on 1 light-medium's input-ends (3f) (3f′) (3f″) incorporated with LED's related circuit (3h), control means (not shown), sensor means (3R), power source to make the LED(s) for illumination under predetermined functions, period of time, colors, brightness.


From FIG. 1, At least one of the prong means (12) to connect with LED's related circuit (13′″) to connect to the wall outlet to get the power source to offer the power to the said LED related electric parts and components (13′″) and heater element (19) or fan device (not shown) to make air flow to spread the fragrance to wide areas as design with illumination. The heat element has very high power consumption so preferable to get power from wall outlet. The fan device may have much smaller power consumption so it can be drive by wall outlet power source, battery power source, or solar power source while use the different motor for the fan.


From FIG. 1, A proper housing assembly (00) to allow the said slot (11), LED(s), light-medium in the form of LED display (17), LED related electric parts (13′″) and components (19), prong means (12), heater means (19), receptacle means (14), Sensor means (13″), Second light source (13), switch means (13′) disposed within for a finish Multiple function LED night light (00).


From FIG. 1, The front base (19) has openings (14) to form a grounded receptacle function. The front base (19) has at least one of windows (13″) to install the 2nd light source (13′″), or sensor means. The said multiple functions may selected from group combination from plurality of receptacles, motion sensor, more than one LED as light source for other direction illumination, time delay after trigger, fan device, heater elements to get N-functions LED night light with air fresher. The said prong means can be fix on the location or swivel type


From FIG. 3, The multiple functions LED night light (000) with air-freshener has a slot (3a) to allow the air-fresher to install inside. The front LED display (3) has a lot of opening (3b) (3N), window (3c), cut-out (3d) to allow the fragrance can spread out to open air quickly and wider. The front LED display has extended portion with LED input-ends (3f) (3f′) (3f″) to allow the LED(s) (3g) (3g′) (3g″) to position and let majority light beams travel within the LED display and let brightness be seen on all surface by viewer. The LED(s) (3g) (3g′) (3g″) are install on the LED related circuit. The heat element (3i) also connect with the circuit to get heat occur and make the hot air flow up to create the air flow to bring the fragrance spread out quickly and to big area. It also can use the fan device (not shown) to replace the heat element because the fan can design on proper rotating times/per minute (rpm) with super lower power consumption motor to drive the fan blade to make big air flow to far distance to spread out the air-freshener's fragrance to board area. Because some of motor with very small power consumption, it can be drive by solar power system. It will be good to has solar for free energy. However, which power source to use for heat element and fan device will be determined by the power consumption. It may use wall outlet power source, battery power source, or solar power source for different heat element and fan device specification. The said fan device which can use super compact size with super low power consumption model selected from conventional market available items. The said heat means may be in the form of resistor unit, resistor film, or the other beater means selected from conventional market place available model.


From FIG. 3, The front base (3e) has several opening (3j) (3L) (3m) which have inner metal components positioned respectively and connect to the power source. The openings (3j) (3L) (3m) form a grounded receptacle which offer people to have receptacle to connect with other electric device. This is very convenient to all consumers.


From FIG. 4, The LED display case (49) has close “U” shape with light-medium property to allow the LED (43) located on the LED input-end (44) to make majority of light beams travel within the LED display case (49) and make the brightness be seen by view of its all surface. The heat element (42b) located on the bottom of the slot (400) which between the LCD display case (49) and back case (49′) to allow the air-freshener unit can well install into slot and adapter the at least one of the heat elements (42a) (42b) (42c) to make heat occurred and cause the hot air flow up to make air flow quickly to bring the air freshener's fragrance to spread out to board area. The heat element is not limited to the resistor unit, it also can use the other market skill such as the US prior art U.S. Pat. No. 7,002,114 device for more advanced technical with adjustable heat element. It also can use the fan device with super low power consumption motor to drive the fan blades to make big and quickly airflow instantly to spread out the air freshener fragrance to wide area instantly.


From FIG. 4, the lower front base (47) and back base (47′) have the space to allow the LED display bottom (400′) to tightly install on this space. It also offer the room to allow LED(s), Recetacles metal piece (46) and LED related circuit (46′), and prong means (46′) to well install within this room. The other opening, window, or cut-out on front base may put the other electric parts (13″) which may selected from group combination of 2nd light source, motion sensor, photo sensor or other type to increase the extra functions. The said air freshener unit may be in form of gel, liquid, solid unit flower, potpourri, dry flower, dry plants, or paper type as long as can have the air fragrance, or smell and spread out for a period of time.


From FIG. 7, disclosure the up grade construction of FIG. 1. The night light have very strict safety regulation to use specify plastic material with certain flammable standard such as V-0 Grade under certain plastic supplier with fix wall thickness. Basing on this strict requirement, the most cost saving design is to put the prong means and LED related circuit sealed into a sealed-unit. Hence, all the parts connected with live wire will be sealed within the said safety plastic material. All other night light material do not need any requirement because those will not have any connection with live wire. From FIG. 7, the all LED related circuit and prong means (7b) (7b′) are sealed within the safety plastic material box (7a). Only the LED's resin head expose to outside (LED's metal legs can not be seen from outside the box) so this is meet all safety standard requirement. This sealed-unit box is well fit into the room (7e) of the base housing (7K). The LED(s) (7d) (7f) are well position the LED Input-ends (7i) (7h) respectively to make the LED's light beams travel within the LED display (7j). The LED display (7j) are press tight fit into the space (7g) between the front base (7K) and back base (7L). The LED display can have variety shape and curvature as convex shape (71), U-shape (72), Oval-shape (73), curve-shape (74) but each of these shapes with same bottom (72′) (73′) (74′) (75′) to flit into the base tightly and can offer a interchangeable LED display while needed.


From FIG. 2, disclosure the 2nd preferable embodiment of the multiple functions LED night light with air fresher. LED(s) (26) (26′) incorporated with its related electric circuit means (not shown) to make the said LED(s) turn on under predetermined functions and period of time, color, brightness. The light-medium as LED display (40) between the front housing (50) and back housing (20) with desired configuration (hereof preferable is a rectangular), shape, opening (2a′) (2b′) (2c′), cut-out (hereof preferable a lot of cut-out holes for arrange Fiber optics wires) (29a), window, curvature, designs (hereof preferable as flower and leaf), stencils, drawing, or 3 dimensional artwork (hereof preferable A) on its surface to offer the illumination on its whole surface.


The said light-medium as the LED display (40) fix between the front (50) and back housing (20) to form a slot (200) to install the air-freshener unit (not shown).


The front (50) and back housing (20) not only offer a space to allow the LED display to fix but also offer a room (200′) to install the prong means (24) (24′), LED(s) (26) (26′), LED's related electric parts and components (hereof only show the Circuit board) (25), sensor means, switch means, control means, other device, receptacle means to make the said LED display with attractive light functions and effects while prong means (26) (26′) connected with power source.


At least one of heat element (60) or fan device (not shown) disposed within the housing's room (200′) to make the air-fresher unit's fragrance to be wide spread out to wider area.


From FIG. 6, disclosure the LED display (666) with 3-dimensional design (6b) on its surface which is flower (6b) and leaves (6K) (6L) made of the poly material with very nice color and painting by hand made. These very alive flower (6b) and leaves (6K) (6L) can not make by plastic injection process. However, In order to meet the strict safety standard, the preferable sealed-unit (FIG. 2 #30) are adapted and created by current inventor as above discussion. Hence, the LCD display can made of any material because all parts which connect with live wire already sealed within the sealed-unit (30 of FIG. 2). This is the most simple example for the value of the sealed-unit concept.


From FIG. 6, The LED display (666) also has the Logo A (6d) with 3-dimensional configuration. The plurality of LED input-ends (6e) (6f) as groove arrangement which can see from AA′, the LED (6j) will fit into the input-ends (6i). The alternative arrangement for LED input-end design can see from AA drawing, the LED input-end (6g) have 4 side around material to install the said LED (6h). The LED input-ends (6e) (6f) on the LCD display of this application preferable to use the groove as the (6j) so the front viewing angle will not have broken holes. The said the light medium (6a) material can be selected from group combination of plastic resin, poly, pottery, porcelain, PS, PP, PET, PVC, PC, Acrylic or any material which can allow the light beams travel within the said medium with special treatment on its surface. The said light medium (6a) may be in any shape, configuration, curve, thickness as long as can make the light beams travel within and brightness can be seen on its surface.


From FIG. 8, show the preferable night light (800) has the slot (86) to install the air-freshener unit (not shown) from side instead of from top of the said night light. The front base have plurality openings (87), window (88), cut-out (82) to install more than one LED(s), Sensor means, or other electric device within for multiple functions. It also may have receptacle with grounded design to offer the other electric device as power source. The said air freshener unit can use conventional market available items to fit into the said slot.


From Fig. S, disclosure the sealed-unit (S2) (S12) (S22) with pre-designed opening (S2′) (S12′) (S22′) to allow the universal type of the sealed-unit (S2) (S12) (S22) can fit into the opening (S2′) (S12′) (S22′) which can use the conventional market method to fasten with the base (S1) (S10) (S20) which may assemble with the said night light by screw (S23) (S24), welding, sonic sealing, glue, solvent, rivet, catcher, or equivalent fix-means skill from the convention market to allow the sealed-unit be fix on position. The sealed-unit (S2) (S12) (S22) preferable to use the plastic with certain thickness to pass the 94-V-0 flammable grade to meet the safety standard and all other housing part (S1) (S10) (S20) without any limitation because without touching the live wires. The base (S1) (S10) (S20) can be any shape, configuration, design, curvature, thickness, material, dimension with build-in or separated receptacle means. The sealed-unit has LED related circuit, control means, prong means disposed within, this can design for super slim and wider unit or thicker for small unit which depend on the market requirement. For convenience, It also can make a desired unit which can fit into different base shape such as boat shape (S1), tube shape (S10), Rectangular shape (S20) for different night light application.


The Boat Base (S1) has opening (S2′) to allow the sealed-unit (S2) can fit into the space. The sealed-unit (S2) has the LED related circuit (S8) and its components (S9) and prong means (S7) (S7′) are sealed within the case (S2). The top of the case have two LEDs (S3) (S4) which are connected with the inner circuit (S8) but all the LEDs' electric legs can not be touched by test equipment to make sure the kid finger will not touch these live wires to cause dangerous condition. The LED (S5) can be use the conductive wires (S6) to pull to far away the unit's housing (S2) for other illumination arrangement.


The LEDs (S3) (S4) also fit into the base opening (S3′) (S4′) and a wall (S2″) will cover the LEDs after the assembly with base housing. After the assembly, The LED light beams can be passing though the base's opening area (S) to make the good light effects to the upper display unit.


From the tube base (S10) has the opening (S12′) to allow the sealed-unit (S12) to fit into with two or more LED on desired position and orientation and wiring arrangement so can allow the light beams emit out from the base top opening (S18) and lower window (S18′) for desired illumination.


From the Rectangular base (S20), This is special for the Surface light arrangement. The LED spot light beams though a light-medium (S28) to allow the LED light beam to travel within the light-medium (S28) and majority of light beam to be seen by viewer from light-medium (S28) surface. It will not see any hot spot of LED light brightness but see a very soft and even photometric area light for special illumination. From the Rectangular base (S20) has opening (S22′) to allow the sealed-unit (S22) can be fit into tightly with glue or solvent of other adhesive means, sonic means, welding means, catcher means, or hook means to assembly with rectangular house (S20). The LED will fit into the light-medium's thickness to get the best result.


It is appreciated that all the above discussed description, embodiment, prior art, co-inventor's disclosure is not limited to these discussion. Any of the equivalent function, replacement, alternative process, treatments, experiments, and arrangements still belong and within the scope of the current invention.

A sealed-unit for LED light device, comprising: at least one of prong means, LED(s) and related circuit means are sealed into a safety standard material housing, and the said unit meet related safety standard and has its safety standard certification issued by test laboratory of the said sealed unit itself without any decorative piece or parts add on the said unit;at least one of the LED(s) to connect with the said LED related circuit and prong means to get the power and functions under predetermined features for illumination, the said LED may disposed of the said sealed-unit, connected by conductive wire, or install on the surface of sealed-unit without see the electric metal legs;the said prong means can be fix on the location or swivel type;the sealed-unit can be assembly with the said light device by conventional available skill of the art to make a final product.
