Claims
- 1. A protease variant comprising replacing an amino acid at the residue position corresponding to residue position 232 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 2. The protease variant of claim 1, wherein said variant is A232V.
- 3. The protease variant of claim 1 further including, substitution of the amino acid residue at one or both of positions 62 and 230.
- 4. The protease variant of claim 1 further including, substituting one or more amino acids at residue positions selected from the group consisting of residue positions corresponding to positions 1, 9, 12, 61, 62, 68, 76, 97, 98, 101, 102, 103, 104, 109, 130, 131, 159, 183, 185, 205, 209, 210, 212, 213, 217, 230, 236, 245, 248, 252, 257, 260, 270, and 275 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 5. The protease variant of claim 1 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 103 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 6. The protease variant of claim 1 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 104 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 7. The protease variant of claim 5 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 104 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 8. The protease variant of claim 1 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 236 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 9. The protease variant of claim 1 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 245 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 10. The protease variant of claim 1 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 252 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 11. The protease variant of claim 1 further comprising, substituting an amino acid residue at residue position corresponding to position 257 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 12. The protease variant of claim 1 further including, substituting one or more amino acids at residue positions selected from the group consisting of residue positions corresponding to positions 101, 103, 104, 159, 236, and 248 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 13. The protease variant of claim 1 further including, substituting one or more amino acids at residue positions selected from the group consisting of residue positions corresponding to positions 101, 103, 104, 159, 236, 245, 248 and 252 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin.
- 14. A protease variant comprising replacing the amino acid at the residue position corresponding to position 212 of the Bacillus amyloliquifaciens subtilisin with a proline, wherein said variant is a substitution set selected from the group consisting of N76D/S103A/V104I/S212P/E271V; N76D/S103A/V104I/S212P/G258R; N76D/S103A/V104I/S212P/V268F/E271V; N76D/S87R/S103A/V104I/S212P/E271V; and N76D/S103A/V104I/T134S/S141N/S212P/E271V.
- 15. The protease variant according to claim 1, which is derived from a Bacillus subtilisin.
- 16. The protease variant according to claim 15 which is derived from Bacillus lentus subtilisin.
- 17. A DNA encoding a protease variant of claim 1.
- 18. An expression vector encoding the DNA of claim 1.
- 19. A host cell transformed with the expression vector of claim 18.
- 20. A cleaning composition comprising the protease variant of claim 1.
- 21. An animal feed comprising the protease variant of claim 1.
- 22. A composition for treating a textile comprising the protease variant of claim 1.
