Claims
- 1. A method of inhibiting atherosclerotic plaque formation in a mammal which comprises administration thereto a therapeutically effective amount of a compound having the formula: ##STR11## wherein: R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 trifluoroalkoxy;
- R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl;
- R.sup.4 is hydrogen, methyl or hydroxy;
- R.sup.5 is hydrogen, --NH.sub.2, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, or --N.dbd.C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 ;
- X and Y are independently O or S; and n is 0 or 1; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
