Claims
- 1. A method of synthesizing a compound of the formula ##STR10## where R.sub.1 is hydrogen, loweralkyl, aryl, or arylloweralkyl; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are independently hydrogen or loweralkyl, or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 taken together are aryl; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are independently hydrogen or loweralkyl, or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 taken together are aryl; X is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, loweralkyl, loweralkoxy, trifluoromethyl or ##STR11## where Y is hydrogen, halogen or loweralkyl; m is an integer of 1 to 3; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof and where applicable the geometrical and optical isomers and racemic mixtures thereof which comprises reacting a ##STR12## where Hal is halogen with a compound of the formula ##STR13## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are as previously defined in a loweralkanol solvent or 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone.
- 2. A method of synthesizing a compound of the formula ##STR14## where R.sub.1 is hydrogen, loweralkyl, aryl, or arylloweralkyl; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are independently hydrogen or loweralkyl, or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 taken together are aryl; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are independently hydrogen or loweralkyl, or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 taken together are aryl; X is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, loweralkyl, loweralkoxy, trifluoromethyl or ##STR15## where Y is hydrogen, halogen or loweralkyl; m is an integer of 1 to 3; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof and where applicable the geometrical and optical isomers and racemic mixtures thereof which comprises reacting a compound of the formula ##STR16## where Hal is halogen, with at least two moles of a compound of the formula ##STR17## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are as previously defined in a loweralkanol solvent or 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone.
