Claims
- 1. A custom liquid cosmetic dispensing system, comprising:
a) a cosmetic dispensing system; and b) a computer for interacting with a retail customer to select a liquid cosmetic formulation and communicating information about a selection for use in controlling said dispensing system.
- 2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a personal viewing station interfaced with said computer for providing virtual feedback to a user about how a particular selection will look on said user.
- 3. The system of claim 2, wherein said personal viewing station includes a visual information input device for capturing an image of said user and transporting information about said image to said computer.
- 4. The system of claim 2, wherein said custom cosmetic dispensing system, said computer and said personal viewing station are integrated into a single pod for point of sale dispensing.
- 5. The system of claim 1, wherein said dispensing system includes a plurality of chambers each having an outlet with a nozzle.
- 6. The system of claim 1, wherein said dispensing system includes a plurality of chambers that dispense to a common chamber, which dispenses to an external receptacle for receiving a nail polish.
- 7. The system of claim 1, wherein said dispensing system is operated manually.
- 8. The system of claim 1, wherein said dispensing system is automated.
- 9. The system of claim 1, wherein said computer controls said dispenser.
- 10. The system of claim 1, wherein said liquid cosmetic dispensing system includes means for moistening at least one nozzle tip associated with said dispensing system.
- 11. The system of claim 10, wherein said means for moistening includes a sealable receptable for containing a volume of liquid that is moveable between an open and closed position.
- 12. The system of claim 11, wherein said receptacle further includes a porous substrate for saturation with a liquid.
- 13. A custom nail polish dispensing system, comprising:
a) a nail polish dispensing system; and b) a computer for interacting with a user at a remote location to select a color, effect or mixture thereof desired for a nail polish.
- 14. The system of claim 13, further comprising a personal viewing station interfaced with said computer for providing virtual feedback to a user about how a particular color or effect selection will look on said particular user.
- 15. The system of claim 14, wherein said personal viewing station includes a visual information input device for capturing an image of said user and transporting information about said image to said computer.
- 16. The system of claim 14, wherein said computer controls said nail polish dispensing system over the internet.
- 17. The system of claim 13, wherein said dispensing system includes a plurality of chambers each having an outlet with a nozzle.
- 18. The system of claim 13, wherein said dispensing system includes a plurality of chambers that dispense to a common chamber, which dispenses to an external receptacle for receiving a nail polish.
- 19. The system of claim 13, wherein said dispensing system is operated manually.
- 20. The system of claim 13, wherein said dispensing system is automated.
- 21. The system of claim 13, wherein said liquid cosmetic dispensing system includes means for moistening at least one nozzle tip associated with said dispensing system.
- 22. The system of claim 21, wherein said means for moistening includes a sealable receptable for containing a volume of liquid that is moveable between an open and closed position.
- 23. The system of claim 22, wherein said receptacle further includes a porous substrate for saturation with a vaporizable liquid.
- 24. The system of claim 13, wherein said computer is adapted for retrieving information about specific proportions of shades, tints or hues necessary for dispensing for achieving a point of sale color selection, and outputting the data associated with the color choice to a controller for dispensing.
- 25. A custom nail polish dispensing system, comprising:
a) point of sale nail polish dispensing system, including
i. a fluid supply; ii. a fluid supply line from said fluid supply; iii. a nozzle associated with said fluid supply; and iv. a fluid delivery mechanism for transporting fluid from said supply to said nozzle for dispensing through said nozzle at said point of sale; and b) a computer for interacting directly with a retail customer at said point of sale to select a color, effect or mixture thereof desired for a nail polish, said computer being in controlling communication with said dispensing system for controlling dispensing of specific predetermined proportions of ingredients to obtain said color, effect or mixture thereof selected by said user.
- 26. The system of claim 25, further comprising a personal viewing station interfaced with said computer for providing virtual feedback to a user about how a particular color or effect selection will look on said particular user.
- 27. The system of claim 26, wherein said personal viewing station includes a visual information input device for capturing an image of said user and transporting information about said image to said computer.
- 28. The system of claim 26, wherein said nail polish dispensing system, said computer and said personal viewing station are integrated into a single pod for point of sale dispensing.
- 29. The system of claim 25, wherein said dispensing system includes a plurality of chambers each having an outlet with a nozzle.
- 30. The system of claim 25, wherein said dispensing system includes a plurality of chambers that dispense to a common chamber, which dispenses to an external receptacle for receiving a nail polish.
- 31. The system of claim 25, wherein said dispensing system also includes a valve for diverting unused quantities of fluid in said supply line back to said supply.
- 32. The system of claim 25, wherein said dispensing system is automated.
- 33. The system of claim 25, wherein said liquid cosmetic dispensing system includes means for moistening at least one nozzle tip associated with said dispensing system.
- 34. The system of claim 33, wherein said means for moistening includes a sealable receptable for containing a volume of liquid that is moveable between an open and closed position.
- 35. The system of claim 33, wherein said receptacle further includes a porous substrate for saturation with a liquid.
