Claims
- 1. A multi-element quantum dot superlattice device comprising:
a first quantum dot superlattice element; and a second quantum dot superlattice element, said second quantum dot superlattice element disposed in a pre-determined physical orientation selected to match sample geometries of said first and second quantum dot superlattice elements and to reduce a radiation loss factor of said device, said second quantum dot superlattice element in thermal communication with said first quantum dot superlattice element.
- 2. The multi-element quantum dot superlattice device of claim 1 wherein said pre-determined physical orientation comprises an orientation wherein said second quantum dot superlattice element is disposed adjacent to and in physical contact with said first quantum dot superlattice structure.
- 3. The multi-element quantum dot superlattice device of claim 1 wherein said pre-determined physical orientation comprises an orientation wherein said second quantum dot superlattice structure is disposed directly above and in physical contact with said first quantum dot superlattice element.
- 4. The multi-element quantum dot super device of claim 2 wherein said device provides a maximum temperature difference of approximately thirty-eight degrees Celsius.
- 5. The multi-element quantum dot superlattice device of claim 4 wherein said device provides said maximum temperature at approximately 1.1 amperes.
- 6. The multi-element quantum dot superlattice device of claim 3 wherein said device provides a maximum temperature difference of approximately forty-three degrees Celsius.
- 7. The multi-element quantum dot superlattice device of claim 4 wherein said device provides said maximum temperature at approximately 1.4 amperes.
