Claims
- 1. An isolated, crystallized composition consisting essentially of a compound produced from the reaction of a phosphoric acid ester compound of the formula: where R1 and R2 are H or a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 hydrocarbon group, a —(R3—O)m—R4 group, a —R5—O—(R3—O)m—R4 group or a group,where R3 is a C2-C6 alkylene group, R4 is H or a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 group, a group or a group, R5 is a C2-C18 alkylene group, R6 is a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 hydrocarbon group and m is an integer from 0 to 150, R7 is H or a linear, cyclic or branch-chained saturated or unsaturated C1-C22 hydrocarbon group or a C1-C22 alcohol group and R8 is a C1-C22 linear, cyclic or branched chain saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, and an active boron salt neutralizing agent, with the proviso that when R1 is H, R2 cannot also be H.
- 2. The composition according to claim 1, wherein said neutralizing agent is selected from the group consisting of sodium tetraborate tetrahydrate, sodium tetraborate decahydrate and mixtures thereof.
- 3. The composition according to claim 1 where R1 is a C12-C22 hydrocarbon group and R2 is H.
- 4. The composition according to claim 3 wherein R1 is a C16H33 alkyl group.
- 5. The composition according to claim 4 wherein said neutralizing agent is sodium tetraborate decahydrate.
- 6. The composition according to claim 3 wherein said active boron salt is selected from the group consisting of sodium tetraborate decahydrate and sodium tetraborate tetrahydrate.
- 7. The composition according to claim 6 wherein R1 is a C16H33 alkyl group.
- 8. An isolated, crystallized composition consisting essentially of a phosphoric acid ester compound according to the structure: where R1 and R2 are H or a linear, cyclic or branched chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 hydrocarbon group, a —(R3—O)m—R4 group, a —R5—O—(R3—O)m—R4 group or a group, where R3 is a C2-C6 alkylene group or a mixture of ethylene and propylene groups, R4 is H or a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 group, a group or a group, R5 is a C2-C18 alkylene group, R6 is a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 hydrocarbon group and m is an integer from 0 to 150, R7 is H or a linear, cyclic or branch-chained saturated or unsaturated C1-C22 hydrocarbon group or a C1-C22 alcohol group and R8 is a C1-C22 linear, cyclic or branched chain saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, and X is Na2B4O7, with the proviso that when R1 is H, R2 cannot also be H.
- 9. The composition according to claim 8 where R1 is a C12-C22 hydrocarbon group and R2 is H.
- 10. The composition according to claim 9 wherein R1 is a C16H33 alkyl group.
- 11. An isolated, crystallized composition consisting essentially of the reaction product of a phosphoric acid ester compound of the formula: where R1 and R2 are H or a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 hydrocarbon group, a —(R3—O)m—R4 group, a —R5—O—(R3—O)m—R4 group or a group,where R3 is a C2-C6 alkylene group, R4 is H or a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 group, a group or a group, R5 is a C2-C18 alkylene group, R6 is a linear, cyclic or branch chained saturated or unsaturated C8-C40 hydrocarbon group and m is an integer from 0 to 150, R7 is H or a linear, cyclic or branch-chained saturated or unsaturated C1-C22 hydrocarbon group or a C1-C22 alcohol group and R8 is a C1-C22 linear, cyclic or branched chain saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, and a neutralizing agent selected from the group consisting of sodium tetraborate tetrahydrate, sodium tetraborate decahydrate and mixtures thereof, with the proviso that when R1 is H, R2 cannot also be H.
- 12. The composition according to claim 11 where R1 is a C12-C22 hydrocarbon group and R2 is H.
- 13. The composition according to claim 12 wherein R1 is a C16H33 alkyl group.
- 14. The composition according to claim 13 wherein said neutralizing agent is sodium tetraborate decahydrate.
- 15. The composition according to claim 14 wherein R1 is a C16H33 alkyl group.
- 16. The composition according to claim 11 wherein said neutralizing agent is sodium tetraborate tetrahydrate.
- 17. The composition according to claim 16 wherein R1 is a C16H33 alkyl group.
- 18. An isolated, crystallized phosphoric acid ester composition consisting essentially of a compound according to the structure: where R1 and R2 are H or a C16H33 group and X is Na2B4O7, with the provison that R1 and R2 are not both H.
