Claims
- 1. An oxidation colorant composition for coloring keratin fibers comprising, in a medium suitable for coloring:
(a) at least one secondary intermediate comprising at least one m-phenylenediamine derivative compound corresponding to formula (I) or a physiologically compatible salt thereof: 8wherein R1 is a branched or unbranched C1-8 alkyl group and R2 is a branched or unbranched C1-8 alkyl group or a phenyl group, the phenyl group being optionally substituted by one or more C1-4 alkyl groups or by one or more halogen atoms; and (b) a combination of at least one first primary intermediate and at least one second primary intermediate that is different from the first primary intermediate, wherein the first and second primary intermediates are selected from p-phenylenediamine derivatives, p-aminophenol derivatives, binuclear primary intermediates or pyrazole derivatives, or combinations thereof.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the compound corresponding to formula (I) comprises 1-methyl-2-methoxy-3,5-diaminobenzene or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 3. The composition of claim 1 wherein the first or second primary intermediate comprises one or more p-phenylenediamine derivatives corresponding to formula (II):

The composition of claim 3, wherein the p-phenylenediamine derivatives comprise one or more compounds selected from p-phenylenediamine, p-toluylenediamine, 2-chloro-p-phenylenediamine, 2,3-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, 2,6-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, 2,6-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine, 2,5-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine, N,N-dipropyl-p-phenylenediamine, 4-amino-3-methyl-(N,N-diethyl)-aniline, N,N-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 4-N,N-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-amino-2-methylaniline, 4-N,N-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-amino-2-chlooroaniline, 2-(β-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-fluoro-p-phenylenediamine, 2-isopropyl-p-phenylenediamine, N-(β-hydroxypropyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-hydroxymethyl-p-phenylenediamine, N,N-dimethyl-3-methyl-p-phenylenediamine, N,N-(ethyl-β-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, N-(β,γ-dihydroxy-propyl)-p-phenylenediamine, N-(4′-aminophenyl)-p-phenylenediamine, N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine, 2-(β-hydroxyethyloxy)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-(β-acetylaminoethyloxy)-p-phenylenediamine, N-(β-methoxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine or 5,8-diaminobenzo-1,4-dioxane, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 5. The composition of claim 4, wherein the p-phenylenediamine derivatives comprise one or more compounds selected from p-phenylenediamine, p-toluylenediamine, 2-(β-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine or N,N-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 6. The composition of claim 1 wherein the first or second primary intermediate comprises one or more binuclear primary intermediates corresponding to formula (III) or a physiologically compatible salt thereof:

The composition of claim 6 wherein the compound corresponding to formula (III) comprises one or more compounds selected from N,N′-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-N,N′-bis-(4′-aminophenyl)-1,3-diamino-propanol, N,N′-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-N,N′-bis-(4′-aminophenyl)ethylenediamine, N,N′-bis-(4-aminophenyl)-tetramethylenediamine, N,N′-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-N,N′-bis-(4′-aminophenyl)-tetramethylendiamine, N,N′-bis-(4-methylaminophenyl)-tetramethylenediamine, N,N′-bis-(ethyl)-N,N′-bis-(4′-amino-3′-methylphenyl)-ethylenediamine, 1,8-bis-(2,5-diaminophenoxy)-3,5-dioxaoctane, bis-(2-hydroxy-5-aminophenyl)-methane, 1,4-bis-(4-aminophenyl)-diazacycloheptane or 1,10-bis-(2,5-diaminophenyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecane, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 8. The composition of claim 7, wherein the compound corresponding to formula (III) comprises one or more compounds selected from N,N′-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-N,N′-bis-(4′-aminophenyl)-1,3-diaminopropanol, bis-(2-hydroxy-5-aminophenyl)-methane, N,N′-bis-(4-aminophenyl)-1,4-diazacycloheptane or 1,10-bis-(2,5-diaminophenyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecane, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 9. The composition of claim 6 wherein the C1-14 alkylene bridging group is linear, branched, or cyclic, or a combination thereof.
- 10. The composition of claim 1 wherein the first or second primary intermediate comprises one or more p-aminophenol compounds corresponding to formula (IV) or addition salts of the compounds corresponding to formula (IV) with an acid:

The composition of claim 10 wherein the p-aminophenol compounds of formula (IV) comprise one or more compounds selected from p-aminophenol, N-methyl-p-aminophenol, 4-amino-3-methylphenol, 4-amino-3-fluorophenol, 2-hydroxymethylamino-4-aminophenol, 4-amino-3-hydroxymethylphenol, 4-amino-2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-phenol, 4-amino-2-methylphenol, 4-amino-2-hydroxymethylphenol, 4-amino-2-methoxymethylphenol, 4-amino-2-aminomethylphenol, 4-amino-2-(β-hydroxyethyl-aminomethyl)phenol, 4-amino-2-fluorophenol, 4-amino-2-chlorophenol, 2,6-dichloro-4-aminophenol, or 4-amino-2-((diethylamino)methyl)phenol, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 12. The composition of claim 11, wherein the p-aminophenol compounds of formula (IV) comprise one or more compounds selected from p-aminophenol, 4-amino-3-methylphenol, 4-amino-2-aminomethyl phenol or 4-amino-2-((diethylamino)methyl)phenol, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 13. The composition of claim 1 wherein the first or second primary intermediate comprises one or more pyrazole derivatives selected from 4,5-diamino-1-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-(β-hydroxyethyl)-pyrazole, 3,4-diaminopyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-(4′-chlorobenzyl)-pyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1,3-dimethylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-methyl-3-phenylpyrazole, 4-amino-1,3-dimethyl-5-hydrazinopyrazole, 1-benzyl-4,5-diamino-3-methyl pyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-tert.butyl-1-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-tert.butyl-3-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-(β-hydroxyethyl)-3-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-ethyl-3-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-ethyl-3-(4′-methoxyphenyl)-pyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-ethyl-3-hydroxymethylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-hydroxymethyl-1-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-hydroxymethyl-1-isopropylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-methyl-1-isopropylpyrazole, 4-amino-5-(2′-aminoethyl)-amino-1,3-dimethylpyrazole, 3,4,5-triaminopyrazole, 1-methyl-3,4,5-triaminopyrazole, 3,5-diamino-1-methyl-4-methylaminopyrazole or 3,5-diamino-4-(β-hydroxyethyl)-amino-1-methylpyrazole.
- 14. The composition of claim 1 further comprising at least one substantive dye.
- 15. The composition of claim 1 wherein the p-phenylenediamine derivatives comprise one or more compounds selected from p-phenylenediamine, p-toluylenediamine, 2-(β-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine or N,N-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof, wherein the binuclear primary intermediates comprise one or more compounds selected from N,N′-bis-(β-hydroxyethyl)-N,N′-bis-(4′-aminophenyl)-1,3-diamino-propanol, bis-(2-hydroxy-5-aminophenyl)-methane, N,N′-bis-(4-aminophenyl)-1,4-diazacycloheptane or 1,10-bis-(2,5-diaminophenyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecane, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof, wherein the p-aminophenol derivatives comprise one or more compounds selected from p-aminophenol, 4-amino-3-methylphenol, 4-amino-2-aminomethylphenol or 4-amino-2-((diethylamino)methyl)phenol, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof, and wherein the pyrazole derivatives comprise one or more compounds selected from 4,5-diamino-1-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-(β-hydroxyethyl)-pyrazole, 3,4-diaminopyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-(4′-chlorobenzyl)-pyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1,3-dimethylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-methyl-3-phenylpyrazole, 4-amino-1,3-dimethyl-5-hydrazinopyrazole, 1-benzyl-4,5-diamino-3-methyl pyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-tert.butyl-1-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-tert.butyl-3-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-(β-hydroxyethyl)-3-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-ethyl-3-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-ethyl-3-(4′-methoxyphenyl )-pyrazole, 4,5-diamino-1-ethyl-3-hydroxymethylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-hydroxymethyl-1-methylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-hydroxymethyl-1-isopropylpyrazole, 4,5-diamino-3-methyl-1-isopropylpyrazole, 4-amino-5-(2′-aminoethyl)-amino- 1,3-dimethylpyrazole, 3,4,5-triaminopyrazole, 1-methyl-3,4,5-triaminopyrazole, 3,5-diamino-1-methyl-4-methylaminopyrazole or 3,5-diamino-4-(β-hydroxyethyl)-amino-1-methylpyrazole.
- 16. The composition of claim 15 wherein the compound corresponding to formula (I) comprises 1-methyl-2-methoxy-3,5-diaminobenzene or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 17. The composition of claim 16 wherein the first primary intermediate comprises one or more of the p-phenylenediamine derivatives, and the second primary intermediate comprises one or more of the p-aminophenol derivatives, the binuclear primary intermediates, or the pyrazole derivatives, or combinations thereof.
- 18. The composition of claim 1 wherein the first primary intermediate comprises one or more of the p-phenylenediamine derivatives, and the second primary intermediate comprises one or more of the p-aminophenol derivatives, the binuclear primary intermediates, or the pyrazole derivatives, or combinations thereof.
- 19. A method of coloring keratin fibers comprising applying to keratin fibers the oxidation colorant composition of claim 1.
- 20. The method of claim 19 wherein the compound corresponding to formula (I) comprises 1-methyl-2-methoxy-3,5-diaminobenzene or a physiologically compatible salt thereof.
- 21. The method of claim 20 wherein the first primary intermediate comprises one or more of the p-phenylenediamine derivatives, and the second primary intermediate comprises one or more of the p-aminophenol derivatives, the binuclear primary intermediates, or the pyrazole derivatives, or combinations thereof.
