Claims
- 1. An improved, high energy, fluorine containing oxidizer consisting of a compound having NiF.sub.6.sup.-- as an anion, and an energetic cation.
- 2. The compound (NF.sub.4).sub.2 NiF.sub.6.
- 3. An improved solid propellant NF.sub.3 -F.sub.2 gas generator compound consisting of (NF.sub.4).sub.2 NiF.sub.6.
- 4. A process for the production of (NF.sub.4).sub.2 NiF.sub.6, comprising the steps of combining Cs.sub.2 NiF.sub.6 and NF.sub.4 SbF.sub.6 in a mol ratio of 1:2.0-2.30 in anhydrous HF and removing the CsSbF.sub.6 precipitate by filtration at -78.degree. C.
