Claims
- 1. A 5-fluoronicotinic acid derivative of the formula: ##STR99## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a carboxyl protecting group; R.sup.2 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an azido group, C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, phenylthio, naphthylthio, substituted phenylthio, substituted naphthylthio, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfinyl, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfinyl, benzenesulfinyl, naphthalenesulfinyl, substituted benzenesulfinyl, substituted naphthalenesulfinyl, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyl, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyl, benzenesulfonyl, naphthalenesulfonyl, substituted benzenesulfonyl, substituted naphthalenesulfonyl, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, benzenesulfonyloxy, naphthalenesulfonyloxy, substituted benzenesulfonyloxy, substituted naphthalenesulfonyloxy, di-C.sub.1-5 -alkoxyphosphinyloxy, substituted di-C.sub.1-5 -alkoxyphosphinyloxy diphenoxyphosphinyloxy, or substituted diphenoxyphosphinyloxy, wherein the substituent groups are selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy, a 3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl group in which the amino group may be protected or a 1-piperazinyl group in which the imino group may be protected; and X represents a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, or a salt of the derivative or a reactive derivative, in the carboxyl group thereof, selected from the group consisting of acid halides, acid anhydrides, mixed acid anhydrides, active esters and active acid amides.
- 2. A 5-fluoronicotinic acid derivative or a salt thereof according to claim 1, wherein R.sup.2 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a 3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl group in which the amino group may be protected, a 1-piperazinyl group in which the imino group may be protected or C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, phenylthio, naphthylthio, substituted phenylthio, substituted naphthylthio, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, benzenesulfonyloxy or naphthalenesulfonyloxy, wherein said substituents are selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy.
- 3. A 5-fluoronicotinic acid derivative or a salt thereof according to claim 1, wherein X represents a fluorine atom.
- 4. A 5-fluoronicotinic acid derivative or a salt thereof according to claim 3, wherein R.sup.2 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a 3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl group in which the amino group may be protected or C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, benzenesulfonyloxy, naphthalenesulfonyloxy, substituted benzenesulfonyl or substituted naphthalenesulfonyloxy, wherein said substituents are selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy.
- 5. A 2-(5-fluoronicotinoyl)acetic acid derivative of the formula: ##STR100## wherein R.sup.1a represents a carboxyl-protecting group; R.sup.2 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an azido group, C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, phenylthio, naphthylthio, substituted phenylthio, substituted naphthylthio, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfinyl, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfinyl, benzenesulfinyl, naphthalenesulfinyl, substituted benzenesulfinyl, substituted naphthalenesulfinyl, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyl, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyl, benzenesulfonyl, naphthalenesulfonyl, substituted benzenesulfonyl, substituted naphthalenesulfonyl, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, benzenesulfonyloxy, naphthalenesulfonyloxy, substituted benzenesulfonyloxy, substituted naphthalenesulfonyloxy, di-C.sub.1-5 -alkoxyphosphinyloxy, substituted di-C.sub.1-5 -alkoxyphosphinyloxy diphenoxyphosphinyloxy, or substituted diphenoxyphosphinyloxy, wherein the substituent groups are selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy, a 3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl group in which the amino group may be protected or a 1-piperazinyl group in which the imino group may be protected; and X represents a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, or a salt thereof.
- 6. A 2-(5-fluoronicotinoyl)acetic acid derivative or a salt thereof according to claim 5, wherein R.sup.2 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a 3-amino-pyrrolidinyl group in which the amino group may be protected, a piperazinyl group in which the imino group may be protected or C.sub.1-12 alkoxyl, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkylthio, phenylthio, naphthylthio, substituted phenylthio, substituted naphthylthio, C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, substituted C.sub.1-5 alkanesulfonyloxy, benzenesulfonyloxy, naphthalenesulfonyloxy, substituted benzenesulfonyloxy or substituted naphthalenesulfonyloxy, wherein said substituents are selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy.
- 7. A 2-(5-fluoronicotinoyl)acetic acid derivative or a salt thereof according to claim 6, wherein X represents a fluorine atom.
- 8. A 2-(5-fluoronicotinoyl)acetic acid derivative or a salt thereof according to claim 7, wherein R.sup.2 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a 3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl group in which the amino group may be protected or C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, substituted C.sub.1-12 alkoxy, benzenesulfonyloxy, naphthalenesulfonyloxy, substituted benzenesulfonyloxy or substituted naphthalenesulfonyloxy, wherein said substituents are selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy.
