Claims
- 1. A nitrogen-containing metallic powder comprising a metal containing 50-20,000 ppm nitrogen in a form of solid solution, wherein the metal is niobium or tantalum.
- 2. A method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder, comprising reducing a niobium or tantalum compound with a reducing agent while a nitrogen-containing gas is introduced into a reaction system to thereby form niobium or tantalum, whereby nitrogen is simultaneously incorporated into the niobium or tantalum.
- 3. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to claim 2, wherein the niobium or tantalum compound is a potassium fluoride salt or a halide.
- 4. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to claim 2, wherein the niobium compound is potassium fluoroniobate.
- 5. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the nitrogen-containing metallic powder is a solid solution comprising 50-20,000 ppm nitrogen.
- 6. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the nitrogen-containing gas contains pure nitrogen gas and/or a nitrogen-generating gas which generates nitrogen gas by heating.
- 7. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the reducing agent is at least one species selected from the group consisting of sodium, magnesium, calcium, magnesium hydride, calcium hydride, and a hydrogen-containing gas.
- 8. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to claim 7, wherein the nitrogen-containing metallic powder is a solid solution comprising 50-20,000 ppm nitrogen.
- 9. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to claim 7, wherein the nitrogen-containing gas contains pure nitrogen gas and/or nitrogen-generating gas which generates nitrogen gas by heating.
- 10. A method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder, comprising reducing a volatile halide of niobium or tantalum with a hydrogen-containing gas serving as a reducing agent in the presence of a nitrogen-containing gas to thereby form niobium or tantalum, whereby nitrogen is simultaneously incorporated into the niobium or tantalum.
- 11. A method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder, comprising reducing potassium fluoroniobate in a molten salt with magnesium or sodium serving as a reducing agent while introducing a nitrogen-containing gas into the molten salt to thereby form niobium, whereby nitrogen is simultaneously incorporated into the niobium.
- 12. A method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder, comprising reducing a halide of niobium or tantalum with a reducing agent in a molten salt while introducing a nitrogen-containing gas into the molten salt to thereby form niobium or tantalum, whereby nitrogen is simultaneously incorporated into the niobium or tantalum.
- 14. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to any one of claims 10 to 13, wherein the nitrogen-containing metallic powder is a solid solution comprising 50-20,000 ppm nitrogen.
- 15. The method for producing nitrogen-containing metallic powder according to any one of claims 10 to 13, wherein the nitrogen-containing gas contains pure nitrogen gas and/or a nitrogen-generating gas which generates nitrogen gas by heating.
- 16. A porous sintered body which is produced by sintering a nitrogen-containing metallic powder as recited in claim 1.
