Claims
- 1. A noise absorbing apparatus comprising:
- a noise absorbing unit constituted by a pair of ferrite members and a pair of covers covering said ferrite members, said ferrite members being positioned to oppose each other to be in tight contact with each other to sandwich a cable; and
- a fixing base which is fixed on a chassis where said cable extends and which fits on said noise absorbing unit, thereby fixing the noise absorbing unit on said chassis,
- said covers of said noise absorbing unit being formed cylindrically, a thick walled portion being formed on one end face of one of said covers, a fit-in groove and wing pieces being formed in and on said thick walled portion respectively, and an upright wall portion having fitting grooves to fit on said wing pieces and a locking piece having an engaging projection engageable with one edge portion of said fit-in groove formed on said fixing base.
- 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a band support arm having a locking projection to fit in said fit-in groove is provided, and said cable extending through said noise absorbing unit is integrally fastened on said noise absorbing unit with a fastening band inserted in said band support arm.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein clips are formed on said fixing base, and are fitted in holes formed in said chassis, thereby fixing said fixing base on said chassis.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said clips are formed each into a U shape which is elastically deformable, and when said clips are fitted in said holes in said chassis, a distal end portion of each of said clips is fitted in an inner edge of a corresponding one of said holes to be in elastic contact therewith.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said covers of said noise absorbing unit are formed cylindrically and each has fitting grooves extending from an outer circumferential surface thereof in a substantially radially inward direction, locking pieces engageable with part of a corresponding one of said ferrite members at inner-diameter side end portions of said fitting grooves to support said ferrite members in said covers, and a fitting portion formed on at least one axial end face of one of said covers, and a fit-in piece capable of fitting in a corresponding one of said fitting grooves and a fitting piece to fit with said fitting portion extend upright on said fixing base.
- 6. An apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said fitting grooves and said locking pieces of said noise absorbing unit are formed on each of two end portions in the axial direction of said noise absorbing unit, said fitting portion is formed on one axial end portion of said noise absorbing unit, and said fit-in piece of said fixing base is formed at a position to fit in a corresponding one of said fitting grooves of said noise absorbing unit where said fitting portion is formed.
- 7. An apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said fitting grooves are formed along a release direction of a mold used for molding said locking pieces when molding said covers from a resin.
