The present invention relates to a noise reduction device of air compressor, and in particular, to a noise reduction device utilizing pipes with various diameters sleeving with one another to change the moving paths of the gas.
It is noted that air compressor is mainly utilized for producing high-pressure gas, and then a pneumatic tool can be driven by the high-pressure gas to perform the machining operation. For example, Taiwan Patent No. M325394, entitled “Improvement of Air Compressor Structure”, provides a general and common air compressor. However, when the conventional air compressor is compressed upon inhalation of external gas, the gas flow rate of inlet end of the air compressor is fast, rendering very large gas noise and consequently causing noise pollution in its working environment. In order to effectively reduce the noise, the industry has come out some relative technologies. For example, U.S. Patent Application, US20180283367A1, entitled “Air Compressor Noise Dampener”, changes the gas travel path through having the gas to hit a baffle, so as to reduce the gas moving speed, thereby achieving the purpose of reducing gas noise. Therefore, the technology of reducing the noise of the air compressor has been increasingly important and the present invention aims to provide an alternative novel device for reducing noise in order to provide an applicable option for the users.
Hence, an object of the present invention is to provide a noise reduction device of air compressor that is capable of effectively reducing the inlet noise of gas.
Accordingly, the present invention provides a noise reduction device of compressor, such as an air compressor, configured to be arranged at an inlet end of the compressor, so as to reduce the noise of the intake gas, such as air, wherein the air compressor comprises at least a gas tube. The noise reduction device comprises a noise reduction gas return housing, and a plurality of gas inlet small pipes, gas inlet large pipes, gas return large pipes, and gas return small pipes disposed in the noise reduction return housing. The noise reduction air return housing has an intake chamber, a gas return chamber, and an exhaust chamber, sequentially and adjacently arranged therein, wherein the intake chamber has at least one gas inlet allowing external gas to enter, the exhaust chamber has at least one gas outlet communicating with the gas inlet end of the compressor, wherein each of the gas inlet small pipes is communicated with the intake chamber, wherein each of the gas inlet large pipes has a first gas return end formed in an open manner on the end thereof that faces toward the intake chamber, wherein each of the gas return small pipes is communicated with the exhaust chamber, wherein each of the gas return large pipes covers and sleeves an outer side of the corresponding gas return small pipe and internally communicates therewith, wherein each of the gas return large pipes has a second gas return end formed in an open manner on an end that faces toward the exhaust chamber, wherein the first gas return ends and the second gas return ends are connected and communicated with the gas return chamber, so that when external gas enters the intake chamber, the gas enters the gas inlet large pipes through the gas inlet small pipes, enters the gas return chamber through the first gas return ends, enters the gas return large pipes through the second gas return ends, enters the exhaust chamber through the gas return small pipes, and then enters the air compressor through the gas outlet. The design and arrangement that the gas inlet large pipes and the gas return large pipes are respectively sleeved on the outer side of the gas inlet small pipes and the gas return small pipes changes the moving path of the gas in an instantaneously in a reverse manner. Such gas moving path change mainly reduces the flow rate of the gas, so as to effectively reduce the noise generated by the gas.

When the compressor 2 is operating, the external gas that enters the intake chamber 31 through the filter 22, will first hit the first baffle 32 and then shifts route to fill out the intake chamber 31 through the intake gaps 36 on the two sides, and then sequentially enters the gas inlet small pipes 4 and the gas inlet large pipes 5. Then the gas is discharged from the first gas return end 51 to pass through the silencing cotton sleeve 8 to enter the gas return chamber 33. Next, the gas in the gas return chamber 33 passes through the silencing cotton sleeves 8 again to enter the gas return large pipes 6 through the second gas return end 61 and then enter the exhaust chamber 34 to hit the second baffle 35 through the guiding of the gas return small pipes 7. Then the gas will fill out the exhaust chamber 34 through the exhaust gaps 37 of the two sides and guided into the compressor 2 through the gas tube 21.
The design the noise reduction device 1, according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, utilizes the arrangement of the gas inlet large pipes 5 and the gas return large pipes 6 respectively sleeved on the outside the gas inlet small pipes 4 and the gas return small pipes 7, to change the moving path of the gas in an instantaneously reverse manner, as well as coordinates the arrangement of the first baffle 32 and the second baffle 35 to also change the moving path of the gas. The changes of the moving path of the gas are mainly to reduce the flow rate of the gas, so that the noise generated by the gas can be effectively reduced. In addition, having the gas travels through the silencing cotton sleeves 8 to disperse the gas flow can further reduce the noise generation.
It should be further noted that, in the design, it may be based on the need of noise reduction, to properly add silencing cotton sleeves 8 or other silencing cotton materials and means, such as sheet-shaped silencing cotton (not shown) in the gas return chamber 33 or to fill up the space of the gas return chamber 33, so as to achieve a better noise reduction result.
