Claims
- 1. A Compound selected from the group consisting of:

- 8. A method of inhibiting FPT comprising administering to a patient in need of such treatment a compound of claim 1 in an amount effective for inhibiting FPT.
- 9. A method of inhibiting tumor growth comprising administering to a patient in need of such treatment an effective tumor inhibiting amount of a compound of claim 1.
- 10. A pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of compound of claim 1 in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 11. A method of inhibiting pancreatic tumor cells, lung tumor cells, myeloid leukemia tumor cells, thyroid follicular tumor cells, myelodysplastic tumor cells, epidermal carcinoma tumor cells, bladder tumor cells or colon tumor cells, in a patient in need of such treatment comprising, administering to said patient, an effective tumor inhibiting amount of a compound of claim 1.
- 12. A process for producing compound (4)
- 13. The process of claim 12, wherein the aprotic solvent is CH2CI2.
- 14. The process of claim 12, wherein the reaction is stirred at 0 ° C. for four hours.
- 15. The process of claim 12 comprising:
(a ) dissolving Compound (3) in a solvent mixture of CH2CI2 (3.5 mol) and dimethylacetamide (1.0 mol); (b) cooling the reaction mixture to a temperature of 0° C.; (c) adding thionyl bromide; (d) stirring the reaction at a temperature of 0° C. for a time of four hours; (e) basifying with aqueous NaHCO3; (f) extracting the resulting solution with CH2CI2; and (g) purifying the product by flash silica gel column chromatography.
