Claims
- 1. A method of detecting colon cancer in an individual comprising:
(a) obtaining a sample from said individual; and (b) detecting the presence of a nucleic acid sequence comprising a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos 1-8.
- 2. A method of detecting colon cancer in an individual comprising:
(a) obtaining a sample from said individual; and (b) detecting the presence of a nucleic acid sequence consisting of a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos 9-16.
- 3. A method of detecting colon cancer in an individual comprising:
(a) obtaining a sample from said individual; and (b) detecting the presence in said sample of a polypeptide sequence comprising a polypeptide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos 17-24.
- 4. The method of claim 3, wherein said step of detecting comprises:
(a) contacting said sample with a polypeptide ligand which is capable of binding to one or more of SEQ ID Nos 17-24; and (b) detecting the binding of said polypeptide ligand to said one or more of SEQ ID Nos 17-24, wherein detection of binding is indicative or the presence of a polypeptide sequence comprising a polypeptide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos 17-24 in said sample.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein said polypeptide ligand is an antibody.
- 6. The method of claim 4, wherein said polypeptide ligand comprises a detectable label.
- 7. The method of claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein said individual is a human.
- 8. The method of claim 1, wherein said step of detecting comprises:
(a) contacting said sample with a polynucleotide probe comprising at least 12 contiguous nucleotides of a sequence selected from the group consisting of a sequence comprising SEQ ID Nos 1-8 which is capable of hybridizing to a sequence selected from the group of a sequence comprising SEQ ID Nos 1-8; (b) detecting the hybridization of said polynucleotide probe to said sequence selected from the group of a sequence comprising SEQ ID Nos 1-8, wherein detection of hybridization is indicative of the presence of a nucleic acid sequence comprising a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos 1-8.
- 9. The method of claim 2, wherein said step of detecting comprises:
(a) contacting said sample with a polynucleotide probe comprising at least 12 contiguous nucleotides of a sequence selected from the group consisting of a sequence comprising SEQ ID Nos 9-16 which is capable of hybridizing to a sequence selected from the group of a sequence comprising SEQ ID Nos 9-16; (b) detecting the hybridization of said polynucleotide probe to said sequence selected from the group of a sequence comprising SEQ ID Nos 9-16, wherein detection of hybridization is indicative of the presence of a nucleic acid sequence comprising a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos 9-16.
- 10. The method of claim 8, wherein said probe comprises a detectable label.
