Claims
- 1. An epoxy resin composition comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin having more than 1 epoxy group in one molecule and (b) 1 to 10 parts by weight of a compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR22## wherein R.sub.1 is a member selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a .beta.-cyanoethyl group, a benzyl group and a .beta.-[3,5-diamino-S-triazinyl-(1)]-ethyl group, R.sub.2 stands for a monovalent hydrocarbon group having up to 17 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 is a member selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and an alkyl group having up to 4 carbon atoms, with the proviso that when R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, R.sub.2 is a methyl or phenyl group and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom and when R.sub.1 is a .beta.-cyanoethyl group, R.sub.2 is a phenyl group and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, and n is a number of from 0 to 2.
- 2. A one-pack type epoxy resin composition comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin having more than 1 epoxy group in one molecule, (b) 1 to 20 parts by weight of dicyandiamide and (c) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR23## wherein R.sub.1 is a member selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a .beta.-cyanoethyl group, a benzyl group and a .beta.-[3,5-diamino-S-triazinyl-(1)]-ethyl group, R.sub.2 stands for a monovalent hydrocarbon group having up to 17 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 is a member selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and an alkyl group having up to 4 carbon atoms, with the proviso that when R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, R.sub.2 is a methyl or phenyl group and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom and when R.sub.1 is a .beta.-cyanoethyl group, R.sub.2 is a phenyl group and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, and n is a number of from 0 to 2.
- 3. An epoxy resin composition as set forth in claim 1, wherein the compound is an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by the following formula: ##STR24## wherein n is a number of from 0 to 2.
- 4. An epoxy resin composition as set forth in claim 1 wherein the compound is an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by the formula: ##STR25## wherein n is a number of from 0 to 2.
- 5. An epoxy resin composition as set forth in claim 1 wherein the compound is an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by the following formula: ##STR26##
- 6. A composition as set forth in claim 2 wherein the compound is an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by the following formula: ##STR27## wherein n is a number of from 0 to 2.
- 7. A composition as set forth in claim 2 wherein said compound is an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by the following formula: ##STR28## wherein n is a number of from 0 to 2.
- 8. A composition as set forth in claim 2 wherein said compound is an imidazole-isocyanuric acid adduct represented by the following formula: ##STR29##
