Claims
- 1. An isolated polypeptide comprising a sequence with at least 90% sequence homology to SEQ ID NO:6, said polypeptide having matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity.
- 2. The polypeptide of claim 1 wherein said polypeptide comprises a sequence with at least 95% sequence homology to SEQ ID NO:6.
- 3. The polypeptide of claim 1 wherein said polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence at least 98% homologous to SEQ ID NO:6.
- 4. The polypeptide of claim 1 wherein said polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence at least 99% homologous to SEQ ID NO:6.
- 5. The polypeptide of claim 1 wherein said polypeptide comprises SEQ ID NO:6.
- 6. The polypeptide of claim 1 wherein sequence homology is determined using the Gap program with default settings.
- 7. A composition comprising a polypeptide of claim 1 and an acceptable carrier or diluent.
- 8. A method for producing a polypeptide comprising culturing a host cell comprising a nucleic acid molecule encoding a polypeptide with at least 90% sequence homology to SEQ ID NO:6 under conditions in which the nucleic acid molecule is expressed, thereby producing a polypeptide with at least 90% sequence homology to SEQ ID NO:6.
- 9. The method of claim 8 wherein the polypeptide comprises SEQ ID NO:6.
- 10. The method of claim 8 wherein the polypeptide has matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity.
