Claims
- 1. An isolated polynucleotide comprising SEQ ID NO:1.
- 2. An isolated polynucleotide comprising a sequence that encodes a polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:2.

- 4. An expression vector comprising the polynucleotide of claim 1.
- 5. The expression vector of claim 4 wherein said vector is a plasmid or viral particle.
- 6. A host cell transformed with a vector of claim 4.
- 7. The transformed host cell of claim 6 wherein said cell is a bacterial cell, yeast cell, insect cell, or mammalian cell.
- 8. A method of producing a polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:2 comprising the steps of:
a) introducing a recombinant expression vector of claim 4 into a compatible host cell; b) growing said host cell under conditions for expression of said polypeptide; and c) recovering said polypeptide.
- 9. A composition comprising a polynucleotide of claim 1 and a carrier or diluent.
- 10. A composition comprising a recombinant expression vector of claim 4 and a carrier or diluent.
- 11. An isolated polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide of claim 1.
- 12. An isolated polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:2.
- 13. The polypeptide of claim 11 wherein said polypeptide comprises SEQ ID NO:2.
- 14. A composition comprising a polypeptide of claim 11 and a carrier or diluent.

- 16. An isolated antibody that binds to an epitope on a polypeptide of claim 12.
- 17. The antibody of claim 16 wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.
- 18. A composition comprising an antibody of claim 16 and a carrier or diluent.
- 19. A kit comprising an antibody that binds to a polypeptide of claim 12.
- 20. A kit comprising a polynucleotide of claim 1.
- 21. A kit comprising a polypeptide of claim 12.
- 22. A method of identifying a compound that binds a polypeptide of claim 12 comprising the steps of:
a) contacting said polypeptide with a compound; and b) determining whether said compound binds to said polypeptide.
- 23. The method of claim 22 wherein binding of said compound to said polypeptide is determined by a protein binding assay.
- 24. The method of claim 23 wherein said protein binding assay is selected from the group consisting of a gel-shift assay, Western blot, radiolabeled competition assay, phage-based expression cloning, co-fractionation by chromatography, co-precipitation, cross linking, interaction trap/two hybrid analysis, southwestern analysis, and ELISA.
- 25. A method of identifying a compound that binds a polynucleotide of claim 1 comprising the steps of:
a) contacting said polynucleotide with a compound; and b) determining whether said compound binds said polynucleotide.
- 26. The method of claim 24 wherein binding is determined by a gel-shift assay.
- 27. A method for identifying a compound that modulates the activity of a polypeptide of claim 12 comprising the steps of:
a) contacting said polypeptide with a compound; and b) determining whether said polypeptide activity has been modulated.
- 28. The method of claim 27 wherein said activity is phosphorylation of a substrate.
- 29. The method of claim 28 wherein said activity is JNK activation.
- 30. A compound identified by the method of claim 22.
- 31. A compound identified by the method of claim 25.
- 32. A compound identified by the method of claim 27.
